Yaass, the long awaited gift of knowledge. Didn't know you had to wait out the first phase of hitlag in Beidou's e until now. Very thoroughly and well explained, much thanks!
For practice against monsters I recommend going to spiral abyss floor 4 chamber 3. Kill everyone except the Samachurl (small healer) and Mitachurl (big axe guy). Practice dragon strike on the mitachurl and let the samachurl heal him when he gets low. Then when ther’s a few seconds left, hit the retry button and practice for as long as you want without any worries.
One of my friends sent me a tutorial from another guy, but this one was 10x easier to understand. With the correct order of pressing the keys, good ways to practice, things to not do when practicing or executing, all i need to do is put it to practice which i have yet to do. Great video :)
So for anyone looking at this video here's some tips I have from practicing it for a few days on Noelle. 1. Noelle NEEDS the double Anemo character movement speed bonus, it is possible without it but it is MUCH harder. Almost a frame perfect input. 2. Noelle's dash jump cancel is shorter on account of her being a shorter character. You can hold forward during the dash jump cancel to more consistently get the distance required for the Dragonstrike. 3. Noelle's 4th attack has more hit stun than her other attacks and is much easier to follow up with Dragonstrike. This is what I have found after a few days I hope anyone reading this month's later finds this useful.
It depends on the character, if your character can bunnyhop (dash 1 time and then jumping consistently while keeping the running momentum) then it's easier, most claymore characters can do it except for Noelle, and i'm not sure about Eula.
When I practice on the totem, is there a way to tell if I am foot stooling or dragon striking? I might try the tree since its flat but no footstool possible. Awesome video though, many many thanks, I will practice this a little every day
that s so smart to practice on a tree. Cuz you can only do dragonstrike on the tree. I told ppl to practice on the totem cuz it s easier. Whenever u plunge attk on the tree. it s 100% a dragonstrike.
Yes, you can avoid foot stooling when practicing against totem. "Jump To Another Direction", for example, normal attack then jump backwards. Although it's harder since you will need to switch direction while performing dragon strike.
That's quality contant right there. Everyone just kept telling me to press both at same time and i thoughr my potato wouldn't register it, but turns out i am supposed to tap dash before jump. Thanks can't wait to try this.
My mind thought, "Oh cool, when I switch to PC once I get a good one, I can try this out" and you showed it working fine on Mobile and my face was a Surprised Pikachu face. :0

Thank you! It was very easy to understand! I accidentally did this in panic while fighting Boreas with Diluc and I found it awesome, but I didn't know how to replicate it. I'm very bad at mechanics, but I believe in muscle memory! After a hundred tries I was able to do it 3 times. 3/100! That's already amazing for someone with extremely poor mechanics like me! I probably won't remember doing it in combat because I'm just a casual player who panics fighting new enemies, but it's still good to know! EDIT: Also, I don't think MHY considers this a bug. They're quite adamant about players using plunging attacks on certain enemies, considering not everyone have anemo plungers (like myself) and we cannot all just waste time repeatedly climbing cliffs with enemies chasing our backs, come on now. It's just one way to play the game or another combat technique of sorts. EDIT 2: Been doing some practice. I can do it more frequently now! Thanks, sensei!
Hello! Thank you for your tutorial! I was scared it would be some frame perfect technique but its actually pretty easy to do! (I just tried it in 1h on the pillar to test the tech, I'm not super consistent yet but I'll get there eventually with practice) I have a question tho which is: is it possible to do it with any character or only tall one like beidou and diluc? I tried to do it with noelle as she is my only claymore user and couldn't high jump at all, but I could get it right with kaeya, rosaria and even lisa without to much struggle, although they aren't claymore users haha . . EDIT: it seems like footstool works depending on a character speed after a dash, that's why it is easier to do it with an anemo resonance (+15% movement speed iirc) and it explain how I couldn't try it on noelle, as she have a "young woman" model that have a relatively slower dash than the rest of the characters. For the ones that aren't aware of it, playable characters have 5 different base models depending on their age and gender(woman, young woman, man, young man, child), which have different speed movement for each of them. This count walking, running, dashing, climbing and swimming movements. To this day, we can arrange each base models speed as: *Man >(faster than) woman > young man > young woman > child* Except for the swimming speed where *man model* and *young man one* share the same speed, being slower than their female counterparts. And so, the slower your character will dash, the trickier it will be to do a footstool, for me it is nearly impossible to ever do one with noelle, (or any character sharing the same model, like amber/barbara/lumine/keqing...) tried with Bennett as well (he share the same model as razor/aether/chongyun/xingqiu...) it was really hard and inconsistent, but still possible without an anemo resonance (I dont have 2 anemo character to do tests with resonance unfortunately) If anyone has more knowledge I'd glady read it! :)
I am not sure if characters have different movements or not. But indeed short characters is harder to perform dragonstrike. But as long as u spend time to practice. You can do it on any claymore characters perfectly
ayy great vid bro! i'll practice when i have time for genshin :D the tutorial is understandable and straightforward, just the way many people like it. keep it up man!
if you play tekken, this mechanic is like an electric. this might help in understanding the timing. dash-jump too early and your auto doesn't land. dash-jump too late and your auto connects but your jump height is not high enough for a plunge attack.
Thanks for a guide, after 10 min of practice I have done dragonstrike a few times, using Chongyun. Now, a bit more of practice, pull a Beidou and everything will be epic... but i dont have primos for wishes -(x. x ) Although it's confusing, even if I performed strike, I can't jump over pillar as a shown Beidou. Guess even more practice is waiting for me
@@beidou3424 I wonder, if the matter of character high is important. It is said that either Diluc or Beidou are a bit easier to perform dragonstrike: both have the third, highest model out of all.
This reminds me of the dark souls days when you would use the input lag to perform "reverse rolls/backstep". I'll definitely implement this in my playstyle, thanks for the tutorial!
Best tutorial. After watching u solo Azdaha I looked it up on you tube. They either provide too much info or too less. I was able to do it following your guide. Also, if u dont mind me asking, can u explain why u use thudersoother in stead of thundering fury, which is what everyone else recommends? I was farming for some better pieces for My main Beidou, and got the whole Thundersoother set with some decent stats. Should I swap from my current 2 piece thundering fury+2 piece bloodstained? I am using a R1 Skyward pride.
Thank you, man. The reason I am using thundersoother is cuz i am doing a solo. Which means I can't do any elemental reactions in the fight. Thundersoother gives me 35% extra eletro damage. Helping me to end the fight a bit faster. In open world, thundering furry is definitelty better cuz u can put Xingqiu ,Xianglin or other charaters on your team. When you are doing elemental reactions , u will gain 40% extra damage. You can reduce beidou ' s E CD at the same time. Anyways, use the set that has better stats(highter crit chance and crit damage.) If the 2pcs thundering furry + 2pcs bloodstained have very good stats, just stick with it.
@@beidou3424 Thanks for replying. one thing i noticed. U said Thundersoother gives u 35% extra electro Dmg. Is this a typo, or is it a mistranslation in the game ? I was under the impression that it gives 35% on ALL DMG, not just electro, While the target is holding electro Aura. Also, I experimented a bit with the set, and if you don't proc Overload or Superconduct, you can actually maintain the electro element on wet charaters, as it allows for multiple procs of electrocharged, and most of the times, you get the counter back to renew the electro element on them so you don't lose the extra 35%. I guess i'll Keep farming the Domain, and see for which set I get better substats. I so want to get one of each now. There goes my mora.
Klawd i typed it wrong. Sorry man. You were right. Thundersoother gives 35% bonus to all damage while the enemy is under the effect of eletro element. To maintain the 35% bonus damage from thundersoother, beidou ' s 4th constellation will deal eletro damage constantly. Also, u can have fischl, xingqiu on your team to help to maintan the eletro effect. Whenever you creat elemental reactions like overload or superconduct. Eletro effect will be gone and u will lose the bonus damage.
@@beidou3424 Tx for clearing it for me. I initially thought I had it wrong. I did get better rolls on Thundersoother, so I'll stick with that, since I also prefer to play Beidou mostly in the world, than to swap to other chars. I managed to get C1 on Beidou and she came with Xingqiu so I will probably build him next. Thanks for your explanations, and again for the awesome tutorial. hey bro, someone tell me this vid while i was explaining him my beidou's dragon strike. in fact, i was only doing the counter dragon strike without anemo. You really helped me when explaining the hitlags overlap, but i didnt understand at 5:55 because i always dragonstriked with only dash then jump (which cannot be performed right in front of ruin gards) so can you explain me why we need to shift AND right click since both are used to dash
You cant do footstool(dash jump+plunge)on ruin guard cuz the enemy model is too tall you cant step on it. But you can do dragonstrike(normal attk+dash jump+plunge) on it. This had something to do with hitlag. Why do i press shift+right click together even though they both are dash, cuz that will increase the success rate when you perform counter dragonstrike
Thank youuu for this tutorial I've been practicing this dragonstrike a lot lately but it's a bit hard to practice on moving monsters lke the hilichurl chieftain keeps on moving
Hi I'm just a month and a half old to genshin and Beidou has carried me to AR 49 as of now. I've stumbled upon your videos and I've managed to learn dragonstrike but still not that consistent.
Thank youuu for this tutorial I've been practicing this dragonstrike a lot lately but it's a bit hard to practice on moving monsters lke the hilichurl chieftain keeps on moving
thank you! i was able to do this on mobile :D
Thanks for tips now let's training!•́ ‿ ,•̀
No problem man, feel free to ask any questions
i'm good at dragonstriking the pillar but not the enemies lol, its pretty hard actually
not me just trying this only to dash past the tree/totem xd
I'm wishing for the day we can have a character that electro-infuse you, so that I can main dps beidou and do some stylish skilled shit
wow awesome video dude
Thank you
Hi I'm just a month and a half old to genshin and Beidou has carried me to AR 49 as of now. I've stumbled upon your videos and I've managed to learn dragonstrike but still not that consistent. I do it with just shift then space but noticed when I came back to this video that you mentioned shift+right click then space. Would it improve my consistency if I do it that way?
is been happening to me alot but i never knew what it was.. thanks for this
Thank you so much for this! I'll try this to my Beidou and Razor.
"You need 2 Anemo Characters"
Welp, guess I'm not doing this then
Diona shield also works. It gives your character a speed boost as an ascension talent.
@@Emeraldraven777 I dont have Diona ;-; Been playing for a month now, and Kaeya is my only Cryo
@@Yaruh RIP. All the more reason to roll for her if shes on a banner then. She'll come home someday bro.
use Barbara's E and/or Diona's E. Problem fixed, or use movespeed food =)
I already knew how to do that
Step 1 must be: You have a good Mobile / PC also Internet connection.
Thank you so much! You're awesome! 🔥
Thank you
It’s really easy to pick up I got it first try! Thanks

thx for the tip with a pillar. didn't know that. if i'm not wrong character's height also matters. for example, it's harder with razor than with beidou
@@beidou3424 Ok thx for your answer
i have a question!! does the sprint also work the same if i use right click instead of shift?
