I would have given up in the first 15 minutes of this game, if it wasn't for this video. I have never have really done puzzle games like this in the past, and didn't understand what I needed to do. Once I got the hang of the game (thanks to you), I really loved it. I got stuck a few more times during the game, and your video thankfully helped me out each time.

One of the best games I have ever played.
I'm 44 years old and I been playing all types of games for a long time and I always had good computer systems etc.Anyways for me this it's the Best game I ever played,it's so good!

Yep, I got stuck and headed to RUclips and the first channel I came across was yours. Thanks, Alex, I suck at puzzle games trying to learn their logic to figure things out. In the meantime, your channel helps me immensely. Plus I love this game and I am planning to get part II near future.

Thank you for the walkthrough, find I have to keep coming back to get help! Truly appreciated. I don't know if you do walkthroughs regularly or if this was a one time thing but if I may make a small friendly suggestion...slow down the rapid head movement, it makes it a little difficult to take in everything when the view is bouncing around. Truly no disrespect meant by this, this walkthrough was extremely helpful.

I did it! I stood on the left platform and shot at him, again and again. In parallel I was avoiding these firebombs. Then I won. 🎉

3 hours?! Even after failing many times and even doing the whole twilight Garden levels! Boy, I really think I was enjoying the environments far too much and taking my time (and getting stuck) because this was really about 6 hours or more to me...
This was my second time playing through the game =)
I have 2.1 hours of play time. I wanted to see how far I am. I'm at the 15 minute mark in this video. Apparently I get stumped and take my time. Also I suck at platforming.

Okay - I heard from the Principal Designer for Moss - I am now, officially, totally full of myself. He gave me a three step process for enhancing the sword and finally, it worked. I had forgotten one of the steps. I did ask him, however, if there were scenes where, if other maneuvers would be successful if the enhanced sword wouldn’t work. I’ll let you know if / when he replies. Thanks for your help, though - your walkthrough is amazing. 😁😁😁

I'm glad to see I made it about 2 hours in before I got stuck, but I'm stumped and need help lol.
Oh wait - I might have figured it out. I watched your (terrific) walkthrough a few more times - might it be that you can’t launch the enhanced sword IF YIOU DON’t NEED IT? You moved the exploding hand Grenades to where I was trying to direct the sword - and the necessary movement happened. (1:39:52 in the walkthrough). I’ll try it tomorrow.

I seem to be stuck at the 37 min point of your playthrough. Game won't proceed to next puzzle just keeps taking me back to that point. Any thoughts?

Could you explain to me how to charge Quill's sword with energy (at the end of the game you have to do it).
I keep pressing the B, the sword turns blue but then I can't load it so that it fires with force.
I finally understood (I explain it in case other people have the same difficulty).
- Make a long press on button B (up button of the right stalk).
The sword turns blue
- Bring the right lever to Quill and make a short press on the trigger (the sword should start to shake)
- Aim (Quill must look in the direction of the target)
- Pull by briefly pressing button B

Can you tell me which button to use (and if it's a long press or a short press) to get it up?
I'm on the wheel but I can't get him to pull himself up and when I make him jump he comes loose.
I believe it's Up in the thumbstick 🕹

If I remeber correctly, you hold A or B so she holds up the sword, then reach out with your hand and grab the sword to imbue it with power. I hope this helps!
Hi there. I am playing on a Quest, and I am having the worst time trying to get the armed crabs? to shoot in the direction I want them to. They keep spinning and turning and shooting somewhere else. I try to anticipate them turning away so I start them in a different position, but that doesn't work either, and I am so stuck on this one scene. Can someone tell me how it is done? Than ks!
Hi Tia! It's a little tricky to do for sure. If I remember correctly, when you're controlling a crab, you aim with the right analog stick. Try holding the crab in place and moving the right analog stick in the direction you want to shoot. Hope this helps!

Can you help me please? How do you make him shoot once you charge the sword up and it all lite up?
Hold Attack down, Quill will stab once then hold the sword up in the air. You can then move your glowing orb to the sword and pull the trigger "infuse" the sword. After that the next time you hit attack, it will fire the sword the direction Quill is looking.
I’m not stuck - except perpetually with the monster crab in the big rock. But moved back to the Abandoned City and got into what the sprite says is the castle. This is NOT on your walk through, so I feel a little afraid...I’ll let you know where I end up. Thanks, Alex. 😁
Ah! My bad - I didn’t watch your walk through far enough. I got into the castle the same way you did, it I did it without killing the monster crab. That means I also didn’t meet with the chief sprite. Wonder if that will make things more difficult for me. Anyway - I’m where you are at the time stamp 2:42:02. We’ll see how far I get now. But for those who quit at the monster crab, this might be a solution. 😁👍

I'm at 1:32, and totally lost. The crab is on the pad that activates a door to some temporary steps. Quill entered from the right, and is on the same part of the rock as the crab - both to the right of the rock wall that opens and shut by triggering the other pad. But neither the crab nor Quill can get to that pad, as the rock wall blocks us. Quill keeps trying to jump to the floating island to the right of the rock, but she cannot make the jump and ends up in the water. There is nowhere else for her to go. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
It looks like it can maybe drag the crab to the other pad by standing on the pad near you with Quill to open the door, then drag the crab through it? Feel free to elaborate if that isn't it
You have to shoot the crab once on right button and wall goes up. Then new crab comes out and u put on left button for top door to go down so u can climb up and flip switch.
Thanks for this video, helped me out in a few spots. Now I'm on the last part of the sarffog fight, but instead of climbing that first ledge to the right, she keeps dropping down!! I've been stuck for over an hour trying to get her to climb the first ledge! 🥴

@ALEX VR yes finally got it, haha! Maybe it was a glitch or something. I exited out of the game, restarted it, and she finally climbed the ledge. 😂
1:56:26 I think I must have broken the game somehow. I got to this point in the game, but when I went to hit the pink/purple orb thing (don't know a better way to describe it) it was already glowing and spinning. It was stuck in it's activated mode, so I can't lower or raise the big cylinder and reach the pressure plate!! I've tried exiting and restarting the game. I've also tried exiting and restarting my quest. But it remains unusable. What should I do? I'm stuck and can't get past this room!! And I've searched for troubleshooting sites, but none explain my problem. I kinda don't want to uninstall the game and reinstall it again, but I'm not sure I don't see any other way!! Any advice?
Are you hitting it with a ranged attack? It looks like I either used the enemy's attack or the ranged sword attack to activate it.
ALEX VR Yep, I tried everything. You know how once one of them is hit, it goes from pink sparks to a temporary full orb glow? Well it's stuck on the temporary orb glow. So it activated but never deactivated. So I can't lower or raise the platform anymore. I don't know if that makes sense or not.

Can someone tell me how to jump across that really wide gap around 9-10 min at the water wheel? I did it once, fell off later and had to redo this part, but I couldn’t reproduce the jump anymore…
So, here I am again. Is there another way into the castle? I remain stuck at the monster crab on the small rock, so retreated to the chapter in the Abandoned City. If you get the two gizmos for the whirly machine in the middle of the street, it shuts down the big OverLooker and your sprite friend opens the way into the castle. I’ve just begun this part of the journey but will this lead to the same place as the third short cut portal and, hence, avoid the big crab?
Also - if I manage to finish this game in under a year, are there any others as good as Moss?

ARRGGH! Still can’t shoot. I hold the attack button, the sword gets the glowing blue double circle, then I release the button and hit it again to fire, but nothing. Is there a step I’m missing? (Not usually so dense!). Thanks in advance.

How do you start book 2? I found all 3 portals and almost all the scrolls. And the bottle is nearly full (seen with the story book) how do I start book 2? Someone please answer
Book 2 hasn't come out yet, you've finished the game!
Alex VR but I read online that book 2 came out in May of 2019. Isn’t book 2 called “Twilight Garden?”

You leave and come back. You'll end up visiting the Twilight Garden (and frog) three seperate times.
Am new to this - how do i get her to let go and drop down when she's hanging from the rock???
If you want to jump up, press the jump button again. If you want to jump down, press down on the left joystick and press jump.
at 2:25:45, you died but the crab moved after you came back. How? My crab is on the top right shelf and I can't reach, any hints?

On 2:40.15. I get there I try and pull up the round disk and nothing. I just came from the left side of the story and only one of the disk that you put looks right but not the other. Ugh

I don’t know how you are able to jump like you did , took me 30 attempts on most of these missions, it’s daft coz some of these objects to jump onto are way to far apart and my hands and fingers got so sore with pushing the controllers to much 😢

I love your walk through. It made the game so less stressful . I do have a problem, though. I completed the battle at 2:33:13 and absolutely nothing has happened. I'm just stuck there. The lady didn't even start talking. Was I supposed to hold on to the piece I found at the first of the level? Thanks so much again. Also, has anyone else had this problem?

What do you do when all the slots are filled in the saved data and you want to play it again?
If you can't delete them, try reinstalling the game.
I have figured it out. You just go to saved data and then go to the one you want to erase and start fresh. Press the A / Confirm and when it ask you put it on load or clear. Put it on clear and press the A/Confirm and then A/Confirm again when it ask if you are sure and your done.
Can anyone tell me how to start the game over from the very beginning?
I completely missed the last Frog gate and beat the game. Now I cant go back without restarting :(
At 1:09:10 I couldn’t get the crab too shoot when I played :( ill try again in a little while. That was so annoying. I thought that how you did it but it wasn’t working 🙄

You need to reach out with your real life hand (holding the controller) and use the grip button! I hope you've figured this out by now. Let me know!
I actually did figure this out in the end, holding down and jump… but unintuitive to press jump to fall imo but 🤷♂️

Yes same here. I couldn't even finish watching because of motion sickness. Of what I saw, good review and it was helping until his head swinging became to much to tolerate.

At 3:40 you put 2 round tokens in the things in front of the fountain. OK. I found the one in the Saloon.. Now I am afraid I missed something way back. HELP!!

10:19 - Quest 3 - Quill is stuck by the drawbridge lever. Wont move. Glitched I guess.

attack with what? You use your sword. SOMETHING should happen. If not, maybe you have a bug and delete reinstall app.

It's a little tricky - while controlling the crab, use the thumbstick on the other controller to aim and fire in the direction you point the thumbstick.

It's the second scene in Moss that has shooting crabs. Quill needs to stay on the button for it to work, but he moves off it after a bit, there are three lights behind 3 wooden doors. and you have to knock all three of them out really fast so the stone will rise and you can get out of there. But aiming the crab is almost impossible, He more than often shoots at me, if i get him in the general direction of the light he shoots low, or quill we step off the button and the door will slam shut. @@AlexVR I got through that one, now am near the end, with the giant mechanical crab. Been there a couple hours. (yes I'm old and new to gaming) Needed to take a break. I'll go back to it eventually. Don't quite have him down to the main platform. It's at about 2:24

You can freeze the crabs with the blue orb, then move Quill into kill it.
You can use your hands (Blue Orbs) to grab the crabs and while you're holding the crab, you can use the thumbstick to have the crab fire in the direction you push the thumbstick. IT takes some practice to aim, but you can hold the crab indefinitely
Im literally going crazy at 2:40:16 i dont have motion controllers just a PS controller, i can only do the right one and not the left one, it will not let me do both at the same time im literally having a breakdown LMAO
Yeah its ridiculous with a ps4 controller. I cant aim or move properly when controlling objects

However, I have finished with The Room VR: A Dark Matter....another puzzle solve games with creepy environment...the environment that I hate...but can not stop trying to solve the puzzle

Yeah...ghost giant is cartoony style and puzzle....but for the sense of adventure...moss is firs choice for me...i can sense the thriller. What frustrate me is throwing basketball to the ring....i really dont have patience on that. Trevor saves the world is also not bad...watch the language though

Use the other thumbstick to click in the direction you want to fire while conrolling an enemy. The sword should fire in the direction Quill is facing. I hope this helps!

How can I keep the crab from shooting me I need him to shoot away from me.
Reach out with your hand and grab and hold the crab to manipulate it. You can then use the thumbstick to push and fire in any direction.

Under menu, select the chapter from the first one should do the trick.
