Well it's Wednesday September 11th here and we got rain. I had a blast watching you fish. That catfish was nice. Hope you saved it for dinner. Thanks Leo for taking us all along. Later
The little one hit your bait and a shovel head hit the little fish. That's why you couldn't get a good hook set and it got off. Bluegills and other fish is the best paylake bait but you hook them through the tail so they can stay alive and swim around. Plus the hook is exposed. Shovel heads can't resist! Glad you broke your drought. I hate catching turtles
Take whatever you want to take camping Leo! Well, for once, there are no yellow jackets around my house. You are sharing some really beautiful country Leo. KY is in the same boat regarding this weird weather. Have fun. Thank you.
Nice fish leo and wow a big turtle dinner looked tasty and those little fun things really poped it was a beautiful place oh and that.little fish you pulled in I bet a big fish was trying to have him for dinner lol be safe and tell Heather hi 😊
I enjoy all of your videos Leo and appreciate your passion for living in a beautiful part of the world. Since it's difficult to hold the camera and do some simple chores, have you considered a head strap and chest strap for the GoPro? Work smarter, not harder😏
Leo, what kind of little generator are you running in this video? Myself and my 13 year old son will be going to Kentucky on a camping trip at the end of October and I would really like to get a generator to run a few things in our tent over night! I would appreciate any advice/info that you might be able to offer…. Doing how you would be considered a “ camping professional “ in my opinion
Looks like you hooked the little fish, and a big flathead catfish grabbed it but the hook was to small to catch it, so it let go. Flathead are not really bottom feeders, they like live bait including small fish. Chicken livers are my least favorite bait for catfish. I've had better success with fresh cut bait, or whole shrimp. In a river, shrimp look like a crawdad to catfish. I usually stop at Save-Alot, and buy a bag of frozen shrimp, and head for the lake, or river. That flathead you caught was a good eating size. Do you use circle hooks for catfish? They are my go to hooks, and you'll rarely lose a fish with them.
Try a home made oil burner fire ,take a5 gallon metal gas can then drill a hole a 1/4" inch hole in it and put in a small valve then a small copper line away from the fire and run the line into a another metal gas can with the top cut off and drill a hole to hold the copper line to the center of the can at the top and let the oil drip into then light the fuel and it will burn ,I use diesel fuel with used motor oil mixed into the fuel or used vegetable oil work very well by it self with out the fuel and with the vegetable oil your fire will smell like a barbecue and you will have a nice fire with out wood ,this method also will work in a drum for a furnace in a garage with a chimney.and you can burn wood, old oil, diesel fuel ,vegetable oil ,it works great for heat.set a fan behind it and it put out great heat with out electric, the heater works on gravity nothing else.the small valve agust the amount of fire less fuel less heat more fuel more heat.it works for camping for a heat source or a fire.
It would cost a small fortune to heat a car continuously through winter. I think I might be looking at hanging out in Florida until spring, if it were me.
I love to live anywhere I can hear trains. And it doesn't matter how far or how close. 😊
Big fish! ❤❤❤
I commend you Leo. I could never camp with that many yellow jackets. I would go out of my mind until darkness falls.

Once in Missouri we left a pole off the dock; there was a huge catfish who had swallowed a smaller fish on the line-similar to your little fish 🐟 😂
Do those big turtles eat the little catfish so it leaves a lot less to catch
You will make a fall visit? My guess is yes😊
What gas stove are you using? Great video sir
