- This video was taken from vimeo.com. This is the very first time the animated scenes were shown to the fans. Since it took me a while to find a video where they showed the animation for the first time with crowd reactions i decided to upload it to youtube to make it easier. I do not own rvb or this footage. Thanks to Roosterteeth for being awesome. R.I.P Monty.

I couldn't hear him that well. What were some of the things he was saying?
Sorry for the late response. Here are some things I could make out.
At 1:12 He says "Shotgun's the code word. Here we go, here we go".
At 3:52 I think he says something like "I did the acting for this" or something like that. I can't really tell. I can only really make out the first and last part of that sentence.
At 5:46 he says "That's me again back there. That's me right there".

When the car broke through, I love how you could hear everyone yelling "Ohhh!!!" They were so surprised and my heart was racing to see the reactions even though I've watched this scene hundreds of times!
+Mykenzie Gorom sarge and Grif actually work well together when motivated
Telekinetic Pony I know this comment is 2 years old, but that caught my ear too. Probably because seeing free made animation that wasn’t actually in Halo 3 was so new and cool to them. It was something fresh. Basically, it was amazing to see the characters do things other than walk, shoot, and bob their heads when talking.
The energy of the audience is something I wish to experience again and again.
RIP one of the greatest 3D animators of all time
Damn... I didn't realize how long it's been without Monty... it never stops being disappointing how such a talented person was lost to us way too early.
I think it’s especially appropriate that, instead of coming in from off-stage, he came in from the audience where the rest of the fans are.

As someone that’s been watching RVB since the beginning I still can’t believe how incredible seeing this moment was for the first time. It still gives me chills
This is so odd to see, thinking of all thats happened since. all the awesome stuff he did, all the amazing things about him, and this is the beginning of his roosterteeth career. and now that all this has happened, its so heartbreaking to see this now, and remember what a great man we lost
this is a really old comment but I feel like I should add to this. Not only did this begin his career, he kickstarted almost the entirety of the Rooster Teeth Animation Department.
Man, no ones gonna come even close to Monty's performance if they bring Wash back. Here's to him in a better place...

For some reason RVB was on Netflix. I don’t know if it still is but I remember like years ago in like 8 or 9th grade I watched through the series. Each season was super cut together as like a hour long ish episode.
But anyway, I had no idea that it was a RUclips/rooster teeth thing. I just thought it was some weird Netflix show.
But man, this bit. Even out of context was so cool to see the show go from machinima to actual full on animation.
Rest easy Monty. We lost you too soon but what you left us was absolutely awesome.

They signed a deal with Netflix to have it on their platform but was later removed when they decided to move their shows exclusively on their website
animation just isn't the same now that hes gone... he just had away of making the animation look like it was in the halo engine
That's actually a problem with 343's lighting. Something about it is just hard to replicate in animation. Halo 3's lighting was a lot more matte so animating it is much easier.
It is saddened me that i just got into this series and found out Monty died long time ago
He really is one of the best
The day this episode first aired when I was 14, I swear it changed my life forever. I still remember vividly, when and where I watched this episode and all the emotions I felt seeing Sarge and Griff best a Freelancer. Its a formative moment in my life. The Reds have always been my favorite characters and season 8 was their BEST seasons in terms of plot relevance and character development.

Hearing Burnie talk about how important this scene was to him brought a tear to my eye. This was something he had envisioned for years, but never had the chance to do until Monty joined up. For him, it was a dream come true. I miss these good times, but will always treasure them. ❤
8 years ago, this episode is what got me into Roosterteeth. I didn't know what it was so I thought it was funny. After that, I immediately got into RVB and watched the whole series. Thank you, Monty!

Holy shit this brings back SO many memories. I remember the sponsor stream they did on April 1st after releasing episode 1 and once the site stopped being crashed I just gobsmacked at that very moment you see the car break that wall.

Mh, as much as I am a fan of his work, Red vs Blue was already a popular powehouse animated webseries, which opened them to become a full fledged company with offers and stuff. They were the ones offering him an opportunity while being already established. Not the other way around. Monty made them better, but not what they became. Now they suck tho, so whatever
@@TheDorianTube red vs blue was popular before Monty, sure, but because of Monty it got catapulted to levels that it would've never gotten if it had stuck with just the machinima. Monty took them from being a mildly popular machinima series to being a full fledged multimedia company.
