I shoot in studio 99% of the time, so the best thing I've learned is to plan ahead (set up consistent lighting and color grades across cameras), and record with live switches as much as possible which saves me time in post-production, and I can show the client the product instantly which allows for less feedback loops.

Thanks for trying to save us from our mistakes. Human nature being its own cussed self, we're sure to make our own. I've been surprised by the stability of the R6 even with unstabilized lenses if I lean against a wall and shoot with digital stabilization set to Extreme for video (70% crop, but for some informal shots it doesn't matter). Also, I enjoy using a monopod, as it adds weight and stability and serves as a cheater gimbal for moving shots, whether the camera has IBIS or I'm shooting with the very stable iPhone 15 Pro. And of course it's swell for locked-in shots.
That's awesome! It does suck sometimes when the trade-off for IBIS is having shot cropped but that's cool that you've been able to make it work. I need to mess around more with a monopod. I never get the results I'm after but I think it's because I just haven't used it enough. The iPhone stabilization is insane too🤯
