    Thank you so much. I have really bad anxiety and will be flying on Southwest for the first time in a few weeks. This really helps and will be coming back to watch again the day of my flight.

      @@CynymonGirlSince I’ve posted that comment I’ve flown Southwest quite frequently and it’s now my preferred airline to travel. My number one tip arrive 2 1/2 hours before boarding time. Gives me enough time to check my bags and make my way through TSA without rushing. And also, asking airline workers questions. I say it’s better to clarify something about your flight than assume you know it and get confused. Good luck on your flight.

      Thanks for the view and positive comment! Helping people to understand how the flying process works is the main reason I started making these types of videos. Before my first flight I tried to find something that took me step by step through the process but couldn't find anything- so I began making this type of content.

    Thank you so much. I will be flying for the first time in September! I have really bad anxiety so i tend to over think things...one thing i did notice is alot of ppl taking backpacks. Does that count as a personal item or the Carry-on?

    • @bozy106
      @bozy106  10 месяцев назад +2

      As long as it fits underneath the seat in front of you it’s considered a personal item on most airlines. (Spirit and Frontier have strict measurements)

      @@nereydagarcia503 with southwest you’ll get 2 checked bags for free, a carry on and a personal item. Southwest really is on the top for baggage when compared to other airlines.

      @@bozy106 Can we carry a "purse" along with the personal item and carry on?

    • @bozy106
      @bozy106  8 месяцев назад

      @@CynymonGirl technically the purse is supposed to be the personal item. It really comes down to how strict the gate agent wants to be and that varies from flight to flight and agent to agent. I’ve seen it allowed multiple times, BUT I’ve also heard gate agents make very straightforward announcements prior to boarding like “You are allowed one carry on and one personal item that will fit beneath your seat. Anything additional will need to be gate checked.” So your mileage may vary. If you haven’t already met the 2 free check bag limit with Southwest I would suggest to check the carry on, let you back pack be your new carry on, and keep your purse as your personal item..

    So tsa precheck isn't for everybody right? If you don't have precheck would you take a left instead?

    • @bozy106
      @bozy106  10 месяцев назад

      PreCheck is something that you have to apply for and pay for, however in this video I actually use the regular main (non-PreCheck) security screening (around 6:00 in the video). The PreCheck signs actually continue to lead you to the other side of main security where the PreCheck line is. If you notice just outside of the Heritage Booksellers near where you enter main security there are more signs directing those who have it to the PreCheck lane.

    So you have to get your baggage checked-in at the kiosk first, and get your boarding pass at the kiosk too?
    What happens at the help desk? Drop off your luggage?

    • @bozy106
      @bozy106  2 месяца назад

      Both your boarding pass and luggage tags are printed at the kiosk. You then go up to the counter and show the agent you boarding pass and ID while they weigh your bag and then they take your bag and you head off to TSA security..

    If I’m bringing:
    1 checked luggage
    1 carry-on luggage
    and 1 personal item (a small purse),
    When the kiosk asked how many bags, I should select 3??

    • @bozy106
      @bozy106  2 месяца назад +1

      No, that would only be considered 1 bag. When the kiosk asks it is referring to checked bags that you are dropping off to be placed into the belly of the airplane for the journey. The personal item goes under the seat in front of you and the carry on in the overhead bin.
