Impressive that you're finding time to review brushcutters between Pantera and BLS gigs lol!
I've used Stihl & Husqvarna almost exclusively for the past 20 years. Starting my own business in Bulgaria, and it's hard to justify the prices. So... I started looking at alternatives and first bought a McCulloch leaf blower. First impressions were bloody great - You can see right out of the box that McCulloch (under Husky) is building these tools to a high standard. Can't fault it on power either, it's right up there with the Stihl blowers.
Thanks for the review! I might get this bad boy as a backup strimmer, and also for lawn edging (this type of handle is better for edges!).
    Getcha pull!

I just bought one of these to cut through thick long grass areas that my battery strimmer struggles with. When fitting the grass cutting bump feeder head. Did you fit the bump head straight on the shaft as per the instruction book or did you add the extra holder locking ring (used for the brush cutting blade) before the bump head?.. I found that screwing on the bump head straight onto the shaft spindle, it seems to jam on the little cog at the top of the shaft spindle.

I have the B43 BT. Looks like the same fuel tank and parts. The tank on mine is punctured. Think I started it on concrete and caught it on a loose stone or something. Now the thing's leaking fuel. Have to bandage it with electrical tape and then replace that when it comes loose. Once air gets in, it conks out. Total nuisance. £70 odd quid for a new tank.
Think I'll replace it with this. Save the hassle of replacing parts as I think it needs a new primer bulb and fuel line too. So much fuel leaks out of it every time it's in use. Like a constant stream.
This was my first petrol strimmer and I'm kind of clueless about maintaining them. Could do with a video explaining how to keep them in tip-top shape. Like storage, servicing, what parts to replace, how to do it, etc. Shame I ruined mine as I too, really like McCulloch machines. A guy I knew who cut grass for a living swore by this brand. That was a while ago mind you. LIkely of different quality these days but still, reliable enough to stick with.

      @@zakwyldeproductions Sure hope so.
Leave an affiliate link on this video description ... it'll be March b4 I renew it for the April cutting. It's cheaper on Amazon. Just now anyways.
The other machine I need to replace is the Hyundai HYM510SPE. It's the neighbour's mower... the pups destroyed the basket. Tried for 3 months to get a replacement but it's only the newer hym510sper basket thats available (wider). Parts are the worst. McCulloch is easier to find compatible parts for.
      Appreciate your review! Great insight!

Should also mention that because it's 2-stroke, it's handy for strimming close to patio doors. Can drop the revs right down (or idle it) to avoid any loose chips from the likes of roughcasting chips/render that lands on the grass from firing here there and everywhere.
There's less chance of it (on lower rpm) smashing the patio doors! Happened a couple of years back with a 4-stroke strimmer. French door panel got smashed. Wasn't me lol. Then I got my own to diy it. As you say in the video, when these things are going, debris sprays everywhere. Health, safety and property protection lol. Need the lower throttle on this for delicate areas. Even for edging near fence panels. I'm sold on this model!

Have you checked to see if the spring is functioning correctly or that you have wrapped the spool correctly.

Mine is the same. I use 3mm nylon line. Think the trimmer head on McCullochs is designed for 2mm line. I have to snip it at an angle for it to fit. Uses less though so it's worth the odd snipping and manual feeding.

Not cost effective to replace petrol pipes!?! You got too much money 😂
