This game is still so cool. I don't get why we can't get a "modern warfare" type, old school RTS, with modern and customizable controls. Starcraft is still so huge, it's not like there's not a profitable market.
StarCraft 1 is huge, StarCraft II not so much.
Basically the reason why it doesn't happen (except small indie studios) is because RTS was always a niche genre, and as games got more accessible and to wider audiences, this meant less people were playing and studios were forced by shareholders etc to develop games that bring in the largest audience. Consequently in the last 18 years (this is really something that broke through with the release of Halo 3 imo, opening the floodgates to the general public to gaming) entire genres of games have essentially disappeared. I mean Baldur's Gate 3 winning GOTY --- probably the first time a CRPG has won, and CRPGs are a genre of game the general audience didn't even know existed.
there's a new game is gonna release its a modern warfare rts game its called broken arrow
I think, the Art to make Money Like Fifa… is the Problem for rts.
70$ for the Game and for each General then 20$ or More…😅👌 for a few 1000 Players.

Tiberian Dawn/Red Alert Redux their development predated the official remasters of those games by 10 years. The former has over 30 campaign missions.
I still play Rise of The Reds, Evolution and now love every minutes playing WW2

Continue MOD doesn't work on custom maps. I play skirmish mode and enemy stand still doesn't build anything.

ive got all the other games but generals n zero hour to function!!!! why is this the only game of the cnc series that wont load n function as it should??? its the one i prefer out of all the cnc games its the one id most prefer to play!!!

Yes. Evolution is kind of different because it was built on RA3. So you have to install RA3 first, then replace the evolution file. I myself have to watch a youtube video on how to install it.
You must have first stable redalert 3 game then install the mod generals evolution thats all not replace you need only to install it, if you need any stable free game links or mods tell me and i will send it to you , i am here for your help 🫡

You don’t want Shockwave. It’s underwhelming. Destructive Forces is much better.

I dont get it why you list the same mod just in different versions. Also, techniquly generals evolution isnt a generals mod, its a red aleart 3 mod...

How are many of these anywhere near the most popular mods? And what is Shockwave doing in this list? That mod by all accounts is underwhelming and terrible. OK, Burton’s gear was kinda neat, but it left him limited in what he could do. Air Force general only gets one additional jet? Seriously? Destructive Forces gave him 5 additional jets plus a wide selection of helicopters including Blackhawks, Little birds, Apaches, Comanches, super Comanches, Cobras, Ospreys, Camorcas. Also the super weapons only looked cool in Shockwave. They were sorely underpowered. Destructive Forces, which I notice is completely missing from this video upgraded the super weapons. Most of them can now destroy the command centers.
Nice review man i will take in consideration the next video , Thanks for your comment but , Shockwave is pretty good mod and Rotr & Contra they have new staffs and generals

Ah yes, half most of the mod scripts say they're going to give you the "feeling of real war"....
The Generals games and their fans never came to the game to experience "real war".
