it’s happening it’s happening everybody stay calm
first of all sorry for the massive delay on this one!! this video took FOREVER to film and edit for obvious reasons… i literally started it in early july 😂 the editing was more painful than the boss fight itself
a few PSAs:
1) yes i am going to go back and hit the ghost by kos
2) yes i am aware i walked past an opening of a top floor by the ladder i kicked down
3) yes i know it was frustrating to watch me dodge away for so long

Awesome boss fight. After considering the lore, its an emotional fight. Orphan is just a scared child, he never got to see life, or the world. He was born dead and his grieving.
By killing him, we release him to the cosmos. Like Mergo

Gehrman and Maria did indeed do horrible things in the fishing hamlet, including searching the villagers' brains for eyes on the inside. The greatest sin of all was the desecration of Kos' body to extract her eldritch blood. She laid a curse on all hunters that would follow in Byrgenwerth's footsteps, to live and die as blood crazed beasts forever-more. That is what The Hunter's Nightmare (the dlc) is. Some secrets are better left alone..

well done getting the Rakuyo! my absolute favorite weapon that I wish you could get earlier in a playthrough...I know it's way late in your let's play series, but if you wanna test it out without investing any shards, you can go to Central Yharnam and smack around the hooligans and wolfies. the dual wielding L2 attack combo is poetry in motion and it hits enemies like 4 times in a second, so awesome.
then if you like it you can buy shards and large shards at the messenger shop, and you can also find a lot of chunks in the area right below the lighthouse hut and in the cave area with the snail ladies.

Happy final dlc boss🎉 btw you need to attack the ghost of kos, yes you need to get the third umbilical chord, but just follow the main game, and eat them when the time comes, you’ll know when, so happy to have more bloodborne content, thanks holly. Btw are you gonna give it a try to do BL4 run? It’s the whole without leveling up👀
will do! and a BL4 run sounds verrrry intimidating but maybe i’ll try it one day on a stream or something 😂
19:12 That door will remain closed, unfortunately. It was originally intended as a shortcut between Central Yharnam and Cathedral Ward but removed from the final game for some reason. Lance McDonald confirmed this with an alpha build of the game. If you're interested, search for his video "The Door Behind the Cleric Beast".
And congrats on beating the Orphan. I'm glad you were still able to enjoy the fight, even though it was so hard. He and Maria are my favourite fights, too. The rest should be easy now, and I'm pretty sure you'll also really enjoy the final (regular) boss.
Also, since you weren't sure, the steps to get to the secret final boss are: consume (use) three third umbilical cords, then refuse Gehrman's offer when you talk to him next and just defeat the normal final boss. If you don't have three cords, one is in the abandoned workshop, one you get from the next boss, and the third either via the end of Arianna's questline or by entering Iosefka's clinic and killing the crazy woman in one of the rooms there. I'm not sure right now which of those things you already did.
Also, I really like the combination of white church garb and the antlers. Great Bloodborne fashion sense!
Also, you're supposed to attack the orphan's ghost, which will give you a short cutscene as a proper ending to the dlc.
Also, you still missed a little corner in the fishing hamlet. From the lamp up the ladder and immediately turn right. You can find a bit more fashion there.
ahh shame about that door. but good to know, now i won’t be kept up at night by it hahaha
i already got the third cords in iosefka’s clinic and the abandoned old workshop, so i guess it’s just the next boss one!
and fear not, i will be cleaning up the things i missed at the start of next episode before returning to the main game ;) thanks for the help!

You have to kill the shade (after you beat the Orphan). Then you get the NIGHTMARE SLAIN message. Technically, you haven't finished the fight. It won't fight back.
