I'm just imagining the fans not expecting heavy metal just getting the shock of their life xD
as someone who was there i can confirm that's absolutely what happened
I was definitely abit bewildered to say the least.
haha i can imagine
i headbanged so much XD
I really appreciate the choreography on this one.
There's a noticeable lack of intricate/complicated dancing with this one--especially in comparison to... like... every other vocaloid song. Vocaloid songs with this much energy usually have some intense dance routines, but not this one. No, there's nothing complicated with this song. It feels like someone did their homework.
That's not to say Miku is only singing and lifeless on stage. Hell, no, she's just as lively as ever! She's bouncing, she spinning, she's headbanging better than I ever will in my fucking life! There's an energy to her despite the lack of classic Miku-dancing--because it actually matches the genre she's performing. How out of place would it be if a heavy metal band were to have a rehearsed dance break during the breakdown of their song (sole exception being Baby Metal, but they're all about breaking the mold in the genre don't @ me)?
Miku looks like she's ready to jump off stage and join a mosh pit. This blue haired 16yo Japanese virtual pop idol just fucking rocked a heavy metal song. And it fits. And it's perfect. And this performance is a masterpiece from the band to the light show to the dancing.
The amps here are holographic but in the Untitled online live show, they were replaced with real amps to make it look like Miku was actually interacting with the objects on stage. Just wish they did the same thing here
As an longtime metalhead i still get goosebumps from that growl and headbang part. It is just so unexpected to see something like this from anything official. Fuck yes!
Utsu-p is really in a class of their own with their tuning. Like how do you make Miku sound good for screamo?!
When is the growl ?
@@pomme2903 "It's time for the grey show"
There's something about her energy in this performance that gives me a feeling this was gonna be performed at Coachella
Lmao 3 years ago
@@scarery-p55 lmao, hey I was right wasn't I
So, 2020 was 2020. During that time I - like a large number of people - fell into the VTuber rabbit hole. Along the way, I gained a taste for Vocaloid music. Though I fit into the metal scene more than any other genre, I have never been one to shy away from finding a love for new types of music like this (except modern country). Naturally, most of Utsu-P's has been very appealing to me. To now see that a heavy AF song like this is getting love in live venues... well it makes me wish that I had paid more attention to Vocaloid-based music earlier on! Not because it's heavy, but because it's so different from most of the popular songs. The diversity in sound and people's willingness to embrace it is just awe-inspiring!
Couldn't have said it better myself. It's neat you found something new the love in Utsu-P's work!
Yeah... Vocaloid made me like traditional japanese song, theatre, metal and other genres as well... I think it's because i like vocaloid not the genre. And from vocaloid i branched out to babymetal, ladybeard etc. Its just a great starting gate. I was so lucky to know vocaloid back in 2010.
You should try SHEBA works with Hakaine Maiko, an UTAUloid.
This is high quality we've got here ☝️ good job 💪
3 years later and i still enjoy hologram concerts as much as i did during quarantine
Love Utsu-P wish I was there
How the camera zooms out during the drop at 3:25 is just too awesome
This is a really good editing! Thanks for uploading it 💙
HELL YES UTSU-P ON A MIKU CONCERT. WE NEED MORE OF THAT🔥maybe attack!! or some of the "heavier" (for vocals) songs
can i just say, miku was absolutely slaying, i was blown away and i wasn't even at the concert 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I don't understand why it hit me that much. I listen to Utsu-P for quite a while now but seeing this live record for some reason made burst into laughter followed by crying and vise-versa. So weird. This single video gave me more emotions then climax of long running show or anime. I wonder what would happen to me if i was there. I never been to live performances of any kind that i've actually like and/or held dear to my heart.
its the old man in the back just staring w no glow stick for me
As someone who's been to several metal concerts and is a metalhead, Id love to see this shit
I love how the audience lost their shit every time she puts her foot on the speaker :D
Clearly she doesn't fear the speaker people
I had no idea she was saying "greatest show on earth." This whole time I thought she was saying "greatest chola"
Baudrullard couldnt have predicted the nihilism of this song and performance. Kinda badass honestly
💖
