Catching Big bluegill and a few shellcracker off a bed in the swamp at Santee Cooper #fishing #southcarolina #panfish #bluegill #shellcracker #howtofish #santeecooper
Has all the fishing pressure over the last few years taken a tole on the bluegill population at Santee. I didn't seem to catch as many compared to years ago last time I was there. Seem like all the channels showing fishing spots has increased the number of people fishing.
I don't think so...I had several trips where we caught them good. And several buddies that wore the shellcrackers out. Now. The fish I caught weren't in the same spot or near where I caught them last year. As far as the channels go. I'd say 50/50. I personally don't do youtube anymore due to all the restrictions and non sense. I can see where some instances it does hurt.
Santee is on my bucket list now since I'm retired. I'm in Columbia, so not too far. Just to fish around those cypress trees has to be fun. What's the best month to go for bream? Thanks. Enjoyed the video.
Love that intro! They may not be "big fish tearin' it up" (as ya put it), but man, they sure are fun! There was some dang nice ones in there! And just like ya said towards the end... fun and relaxin'.... heck yeh! Great video! --- Becca
