Yeah, I read this in the manga and it was my favourite chapter. Lemillion was what I felt a true hero should represent. The anime didnt do him justice by removing this part. Thanks for mentioning this.
@@TimothyGod its weird because ive seen clips of dubbed where they put it on screen that his been fighting without his quirk for x amount of time dont know why they didnt put it on screen for subbed
Named himself Lemillion because he wanted to save a million people. But he threw it all away to save a single one. And he'd do it again. Without hesitation. Simply the GOAT.
Thing is his quirk isn't a factor in saving people in his eyes. He showed that determination afterwards by continuing to fight to save Eri quirk or no quirk. So for him he didn't throw it away, it was just a sacrifice worth making to save someone. You wonder how many other heros could do the same without hesitation.
Fun fact: LeMillion's special move is another Star Wars reference, out of the many other Star Wars references in the series. If you listen to him, he actually says "Phantom Menace" as opposed to the subtitled "Phantom Threat" to avoid legal issues.
Hehe I notice a lot of younger MHA fans say that Lemillion looks like Vault Boy from Fallout. Me, elder millenial here... to me he strait up looks like TinTin. Even his dad looks like he's from the TinTin comics!!
It is not in the anime..But in the manga, when Mirio gets shot..There is a panel of Amajiki waking up and going .."Mirio?" Like he felt it! Soulmates confirmed

This is such a great episode and showcases what a great character Lemillion/Mirio is. The way he jumped in front of that bullet for Eri, while smiling is beautiful and then of course he continues to fight Overhaul quirkless. This is one of my favorite eps from this season, but there's still a few more to come. Carlie's love for Aizawa is so relatable. Y'alls reactions to Nighteye having abs were hilarious! 😂 That Mineta edit at the end! 🤣
@ 10:50 Lol Carlie has been on an absolute roll recently with these predictions... at JUST the right timings too. I.e. Recent Korra Nuktuk autograph thing.

After seeing few moment of Carlie predicting whats gonna be said or happen few frames later in Haikyuu and MHA - I am now fully convinced her quirk is foresight! Also one of the best episodes! Mirio is goated indeed
From TVTropes on Overhaul's character (all of which I agree with): -Overhaul is a deconstruction of Always Someone Better and Always a Bigger Fish. Overhaul initially appears to be Shigaraki's better in every way: he has more resources, a larger force, is a more effective long-term planner and his Quirk is even a better version of Shigaraki's. By all accounts he would (and probably should) have been the next Big Bad but it's because of this that Shigaraki steps up his game and ultimately out-gambits him. His scale as a potentially worse threat than the League drives both Heroes and Villains alike to bring him down, ending with Overhaul's organization being dismantled, Shigaraki removing his arms to render him Quirkless and using him as a stepping stone by reaping the benefits of his life's work. -His character also deconstructs the concept of a true Hate Sink. His arrogance, condescending treatment of others and willingness to kill and/or maim them at the slightest hint of provocation means the only ones genuinely loyal to him in the Shie Hassaikai are so broken by the society they're desperate to find a place to fit in and follow orders at the expense of their own well-being simply because he gave them a place to belong - something clearly only done because he had a use for them rather than out of genuine kindness. The rank-and-file Mooks in the organization make it clear none of them hold genuine admiration or respect towards Overhaul and the only reason they don't turn on him is that he would easily kill them if they did. His abhorrent actions in using Eri's body to make his anti-Quirk weapons make it easy for Sir Nighteye to arrange a joint multi-agency raid on his hideout in collaboration with the police, both because of the potential threat his plans could bring and everyone finds common ground in wanting to stop his horrific treatment of the innocent girl. His antagonism and brutalization of the League, including killing one of their members fails to cow them into submission and in fact galvanizes the Ragtag Bunch of Misfits into banding together and even working in tandem with their hated enemies' own attack to take him down. Since he ultimately made too many enemies for him to reasonably handle, especially since unlike All For One, one of the series' fellow resident Hate Sinks he doesn't have the charisma or other means to inspire Undying Loyalty in any but the most insane, leaving him fighting alone by the end. -Furthermore, Overhaul also deconstructs The Strategist. He managed to formulate an ingenious Evil Plan for taking over the underworld and slowly develop a formidable organization right under the nose of the law. On paper, this would make Overhaul a better mastermind than the more impatient Shigaraki, but in practice however, it shows that Overhaul is rather inflexible as his Evil Plan is revealed to be reliant on specific parts (e.g. Eri) for it to work and that any smallest deviation to it would cause it to fall apart at the seams. While Overhaul does prepare for such an event that would cause his long-term plan to fail (e.g. the Pro Heroes leading a raid on his headquarters) he can't account for everything and his own poor short-term decisions and inability to adapt when things stop going according to plan ultimately lead to the downfall of both himself and his organization.
This episode truly made me realise what Nighteye saw in Mirio. And if Allmight had not met Deku, Mirio truly embodies what Almight stands for. Love the writing...GOAT for a reason💗
Deeyymmm.., I really love the discussion - the reveal, debate, agreement, argument, and all... it makes it worth the watch 😍 keep up the phasing Ange and Carlie. It will be getting more hype starting this Season, this is guaranteed ❤
And now it truly shines through, the reason Mirio was in line to inherit 1 for all before All Might met Deku, not just because of his raw determination, but because of his genuine desire to save people, no matter what, sacrificing himself without a second thought. Can you IMAGINE how great a Hero Lemillion would have been if he had his permeation AND One for all? There is virtually no villain that could have ever stopped him. How do you stop someone with the power of all might that can also go through any defense and can't be struck back? He would have been truly unstoppable.
0:30 *checks patreon to make sure you're well ahead of this arc- and you've nearly finished the season HOW I WISH THIS WERE TRUE, ANGE. OH, HOW I WISH.
I don’t think the anime did the manga justice. Because Mirio held Chisaki off for 15 minutes WHILE protecting Eri and quirkless. He’s a beast of beasts. Injured and still unwilling to let Eri get hurt. He’s forever my Goat even have a shirt of him ❤
Mirio is insane in a fight, think he was under the effect of that drunk guys quirk the entire time, he fought off multiple people at the same time while protecting someone they didn't care about also hurting, he took Overhaul head on despite him being able to take on strong guys like Rappa by himself in a fight and then proceeded to continue to beat them down quirkless all while Eri never once got hurt. Look up one man army in the dictionary and you see a picture of this man and his button eyes and silly smiling face. Bloody legend to the end. So far the only other hero to go to such extremes has been All Might and Deku, both in fights they barely walked away from. Mirio is a true hero for sure.
This ep still makes me tear up. I was seriously crying when i first saw it. I think hes my second favorite character in MHA. Lemillion imo is like Rock Lee to me. Had to work very hard to be where he is. Also i just thought he should have let the bullet hit Eiri. Like it might hurt a bit, but would it have really affected her?
LOTR Fans: "Did you know Viggo broke his toe?" Demon Slayer Fans: "Did you know the mangaka cried at this episode?" MHA Fans: "Did you know Mirio fought Overhaul for five minutes Quirkless?" 😆
i realy like the covers of Ange pls do one with de Ending is made by a one of my favorite japanese singer Sayuri and she pass away the last year i hope you can do it, in this arc the ending hit so hard.
Lemillion, the one true hero, the one most like All Might. And, others have said it, but I just want to reiterate how ridiculous Mirio's performance is here. He kept fighting & protecting Eri from Overhaul without a quirk for 5 minutes. That is beyond mental. If Overhaul, who can handle Rappa's speed and power, manages to touch Mirio, Mirio is dead instantly. If Overhaul, who can attack from a distance easily be affecting the ground manages to majorly injure Eri to the point where only he can fix her, Mirio loses as well. Overhaul is amongst the most powerful villains we've seen so far, and his quirk is probably in the top 3 strongest quirks we know of at this point. He'll, he could instakill All Might if he managed to do so much as touch him. And Mirio fought that. Without a quirk. Without the experience of not having a quirk. Without the experience of fighting without a quirk. And with the added handicap of having to protect Eri during all of this. What he accomplished is mental. And, in my opinion, it is the single most impressive feat in the entire series. Most people don't take a second look to realise how beyond incredible this is.
Carlie and Ange, l just wanted to ask you would you be willing to react to anime called " Fire Force" sometime in the future on RUclips because l know that the two of you love anime (especially Ange) and l think that this could be one of those animes that you two would love. I recently watched it and in my opinion it has an interesting concept and storylines that l haven't come across before in animes that l have watched. For now it has 2 seasons and season 3 (which is going to be split in two parts) with its first half coming this April and second half coming in January next year.
Please, “One Cut of the Dead” reaction. Best with Subs instead of Dubs. And for any viewers who have not seen it yet, it’s best to go in completely cold. The Sixth Sense level of spoilers!

Ok ya might think I’m crazy I like mirio but I think they hyped him up way too much. Eraser saying he’s the closest to #1 than anyone including the pros, him being #1 of the big 3, etc. Sure don’t get me wrong he’s a beast in this episode & a great character in the story….but it’s kinda a let down what happens later in the story imo. He doesn’t do anything wrong or anything like that but when that moment comes for mirio to show us why ppl think hes the future #1 it’s underwhelming. I’ll explain more when they get to the part, I just chalk it up to him still being a kid but when I seen that moment I was like “YES!! WOOOOT!! LETS GO!!” but that was immediately followed by “Huh what did he say?” followed by confusion.
