    Interesting video Adam. You built me a limited gun in .40 that I received around June, 2015. It was a real beauty and flat shooter. Tri topped, SV Signature Grip, PT SDC frame, KKM Bull Barrel, all coated in NP3. Ended up selling it when I started shooting Open unfortunately. Only thing I would have changed on that gun was the coating--NP3 was too slick to be able to get a good grip on the slide and the serrations were pretty tame. Still buying parts from you guys all these years later.

    Love the work you all do, inspirational to say the least. I'm on custom build number 2, first one was really near perfect. I'm buying almost everything through you guys. I app4 your educational sites too, but help to the community. Thanks Adam

    My new favorite video on RUclips! I love hearing the history. I also think it was a brilliant move to get away from custom guns. Just keep plugging away at producing great guns. As you said earlier, Venom and Rafferty can always do custom stuff. My question is, do you have a plan on how to keep your order times under control (under 24 months)? I know the times are around 8-10 months for Atlas, which isn’t horrible, but I don’t see how you’re going to keep a reasonable wait time. Or is that a concern?

    • @AtlasGunworks
      @AtlasGunworks  6 месяцев назад +2

      That's a great question! Lead times have been a concern for us as a management team for the last 2 years. We have tired to slow down demand but have been unsuccessful up to this point. Customers never want to hear about price increases, but that is one lever we have pulled to try and slow demand. So far it has has little to zero impact. We balance the value of current guns and existing guns to make sure that the cost is not inflated. We deeply care about the resale value of anything Atlas. The cost increases will always aim to protect the current owner group. The other thing we are working on is increased production. This has proven to be slower that we would like. Our geographical location does not support manufacturing. This makes the added production much slower than we would like. We are working hard on long term options that will yield more units monthly. The demand so out paces the growth lead times over 16 months are most likely going to be with us for the next couple years. Our system does delivery a healthy amount of guns each month to the dealer network. This will be the best avenue for new customers to get our pistols.

      @@AtlasGunworks Thanks for educating me. I really love your company! You all seem to do everything right. If you ever think of expanding, Oklahoma would love to have you here. We are deep red and 2A to the core. I know our Governor (Stitt) has been dying to get gun manufacturers in our state. The state reps would bend over backwards to get you here, I’m sure. Plus, you’d have a facility right in the center of the US (and plenty of knowledgeable gun folks). Just a thought. I wish you and your company all the best!

    I have a Hyperion with a cheely grip and a VTC serial number on the frame. Curious to see what that means since you said they used to have AGW on there for the Phoenix frames.

    • @AtlasGunworks
      @AtlasGunworks  7 месяцев назад +2

      VT means we made the frame in Vermont. C is for Cheely grip design on the frame lugs. AGW is the old frames PT made for us before we could make them in house.

    Adam, are Atlas ever going to make a custom single stack 1911 ever again?

    • @AtlasGunworks
      @AtlasGunworks  7 месяцев назад +2

      We might someday. We would need to make the frames to make one that meet our current quality level. That's a big project.

    When you bringing hard chrome back ?

    • @AtlasGunworks
      @AtlasGunworks  7 месяцев назад +3

      Hard Chrome is becoming or has become a dying art in the USA. We are unaware of any current Hard Chroming company that can properly do gun parts. Our commitment to quality has us on a hard pause.

    Adam, please stop making videos and get my Athena done, joking. Great video, I appreciate the history, I should probably do a couple of videos on my company's history as well. Customers ask me and I say it over and over. Fortunately I kept and still have my first prototype and will never sell it. ;)
