The Revolution version of BF1 is regularly like 5 euros on steam, there is no reason for you not to grab it, premium maps are absolutely worth it.

This is not just a game, it is cinematic in every regard.
I have yet to find another game that put so much expertise into total immersion, superb sound design, and attention to the smallest detail. I can say with confidence I will never tire of this game, whether it is playing or watching. A fine wine, indeed.
This is actually the only game where I find going into spectator mode can be just as enjoyable as playing the game.

I play BF1 on xobox series S since the summer of 2021 and in last 4 moths it's have full servers. In weekend on europe region you have 15 full servers i stay on time in queue 10 minutes to have a place to play is insane for a game that is 6 years.
In my opinion, a huge reason the online is top notch is they've designed these choke points where 50 players have these massive battles.
Love it and I this is perhaps the only game which has this.

10 months after this vid and I think I'm going to download this game again. I haven't played since like 2019, but it's often on my mind. Nothing else has really come close to it in terms of immersion and overall experience. Battlefield 5 specifically is okay, but it lacks the soul of 1. I see the player count has been rising again too. So yeah, let's go.

When you get really good at the many aspects of this game you never want to stop playing it. Its just so good
bought it on PS4 just a couple days ago because it's on sale and with the right filters set up I can find 20, give or take, servers full to the brim even during week days and I'm loving it, such an awesome game
you lucky as hell on pc there are 4 server that are alive and all of them are in japan
@@freethegoons have you tweaked your filters in the server browser ? Look up the right filters to set up and more servers should show up.
I also mainly play conquest, that mode is by far the most active.

Play the game weekly on Xbox. Have no problem finding full servers on conquest and operations. Server stability isn’t bad either. Gotta love this game!

I can not comprehend this kind of comments. Why people think just because a game was created a little while ago: 2016 for example that it should be bad ? There are a lot of good much older games.
I’ve played BF1 ever since it lunched. I’m full ranked on Xbox and just got full rank on PC. I’ll never get tired of playing it.
'Battlefield 1' is imperishable art. And it's unlimited fun once you learn how to play it.

Not the best battlefield game, but the last great game they made and definitely my favourite... Sort of game where you can go full sweat or totally chilled, or somewhere in between, it absolutely nailed team and squad play, and has the most incredible atmosphere of any of the BF games I've played, graphics still hold up today and the map design was fantastic! Gunplay was a very personal opinion thing, some felt it was too casual but I always thought of it as gunplay with a low skill floor and moderate skill ceiling, making it accessible to new players but having enough to learn about the spread and characteristics of weapon types to make it interesting for more experienced players.
Also a really good one for trolling, and had some great meme weapons that you could use as part of a kit... Speaking of which, you need to get yourself an Obrez mate!
When this game came out, I was living in my first apartment in college away from my brothers back home. We all connected online on this game for HOURS on the weekends and evenings for like 3-4 months straight. Have not played it since and just randomly remembered it. Glad people still play it.

Been playing Battlefield 5 and there is no issue getting into games. Always full servers
BFV is doing awesome too still which is great to see
Fun game but too many cheaters compared to BF1 on PC. The rented servers on BF1 definitely helped vs. the regular DICE servers on BFV.
Aside from the WW1 atmosphere and great graphics, whole maps are absolute chaos where it's not just bloodbaths at the checkpoints like in the other Battlefield games, except BC2 and BF3 (so far as I know), but literally every single spot on the map. I mean, anywhere from a crater to a single mound and everything in between you'd find large squads having at it, not even worrying about checkpoints. The players in BF1 are more focused on killing each other than capturing the objectives and I love it!
Ah yes loved bf1 honestly was amazing step up from bf 4 been trying bf 1 on steam deck if you're playing 32 players at low 800p it's playable so pretty fun like 50 to 70 FPS
I loved BF4 after it was fixed but BF1 is my go to game when I want a multiplayer FPS game. When this got released the trailer & RUclips BF1 vs COD diss tracks was epic! After the BFV trailer etc and the demo, DICE saved me. I spent my well earned cash on a budget Steering Wheel and now have more fun playing sim racing games at purchased sale prices. I really do hope that some day DICE and the BF brand goes back to basics for the fans. I'm still a fan of DICE cos of the epic trailers they produced and still watch them trailers to this day.
hit detection and netcode still sucks in bf4 :/

BF1 is still populated on PS4/PS5, Xbox and PC lots of servers and operations are good too
how populated are the DLC maps and Operations? I only played vanilla years ago and wanna experience those newer maps, and also have the room to unlock the weapons I assume to be tied to map-specific challenges
On ps4 for some reason the operations mode only can be played on the dlc maps.

rn on steam, the BF1 and 5 bundle is like 14 CAD, though I'll probably never play BF5, getting it for almost free is stupid to pass on
Only complaint these days is that some lobby’s you will join will be full of lmg campers which gets really annoying sometimes
In my experience its super easy to get into matches on Xbox
i play on xbox one it very easy to find a match i even find a lot of dlc servers which is very good
Battlefield 1 is the best Battlefield in my opinion. Wonderfully polished, best atmosphere, satisfying gunplay, everything just felt right. Wish the PC population would steadily grow again, I miss it desperately.

Go to server browser an press triangle to filter an it's pretty much self explanatory from there never go to quick match cause most likely it will put you in a empty lobby which takes forever to fill up an if the server starts to die at some point you just back out an find a full server

No the server browser is always FULL of awesome lobbies and there are almost always 4 to 5 players waiting on each 64/64, so youre essentially just waiting for your turn to get into one of the hopping 64/64 servers
This game is so damn good. If only there were more servers that regularly rotated the expansion maps

bf1 still has a good amount of players on ps4 I played it yesterday and got into a quick match within 2 min of queuing up I didnt even have to join a custom server this was around noon too
hi sir, does battlefield 1 have fewer cheaters, i've just been playing battlefield 5 for a few weeks, and almost every time i play there are always cheaters, whether in my own team or the enemy. I'm really tired of seeing it 🥺 .
Much less cheaters overall and basically no cheaters on private servers

The campaign on this was shocking really. The intro bit was absolutely fantastic but the campaign was such a let down. But the operations mode on multiplayer just rendered the campaign almost obsolete. I'm someone that loves a proper campaign still but operations is that good, why bother with anything else?! It's absolutely sensational, I played it again today after being off it for about 6 months (if not more) and it's just exceptional. It's not as easy to always find an active operation on the last gen console for the maps you're in the mood for. If you really want to play a specific set of maps it can take a few minutes but it's so worth it. If you can't be bothered with waiting, you can just hop right into whatever is ready. It's an absolute joy, even in 2023. More recent installments of various games have come out since this was released and it still provides a better experience than pretty much all of them. It's that good to play you just forgive it of its foibles. I adore it. Easily one of my all-time personal favourites.
Believe it or not, they dumbed the graphics down by a good 20% since launch. It was something to behold the day it came out.

Why are so many Battlefield games dead on PC? I checked steamcharts, and Battlefield 1,5, and 2042 all show around 8k max which is pretty dead.
8k is not dead lmfao relative speaking, yes, but that is very much an active and alive game
