Hello George! Greetings from Brazil. I need to give you a watch tip. Very cheep one from Cadisen, with a Myiota 8215 series on it. It's another Cadisen model C8225 a homage (I think so) to a Hamilton Jazzmaster Slim. For about 40 US dolars. You just need to change the awful bracelet for a nice leather strap. It has a 38mm diameter, with sapphire (no AR) and a 22mm lugs (a bit strange, but it looks very cool). I have the blue one (all steel) I change the bracelet to a brown leather strap. I love this cheap watch.
Thanks George I have the Helm Komodo (2.5 years) and I covet it as much as my Oris Aquis. So I bought this Cadisen in the last sale with a fitted end tropical strap, as a beater, so my true beater does not get beaten🤣
:)))) I think that's the definition of a true enthusiast . I can see why people like them, but I, unfortunately do not have the wrist or the patience for one. I have friends with two and the adore them!
Received my Helm Vanuatu 2 weeks ago. Have to say, it is even better than expected.
I do agree on the value for money aspect. But 2 years ?!
How long did you have to wait?

@@WatcheswithGeorgeWhy is the wait a problem? There are loads of other things to enjoy in the meantime. Even other watches for that matter.
Fine looking Cadisen, I like them & have 4 of their watches, great value for money.

A replica of a micro brand? That`s a bit sad... Just pay a bit more and wait for the real one. I`d also much prefer an NH35 to Miyota 8000, and the lume. Its more important to support micro brands than the likes of Rolex and Omega etc.
Agree on all the above. But Helm has a long wait-list for a watch that you might not like. So 86 euros can save you in the long run!
If a Helm has a wafting list that should tell you about why people are willing to wait. Its called "QUALITY". Pass on a clomage/fake of a microbrand. A MICROBRAND LOL.
No thanks. I put my name down with helm and forgot about it. 2 years later I got the real thing and not this shameless cash in.

Yeah don't wait for the real thing, Have to have it now so buy a clomage and know its still not the real thing, and everyone else who knows watches knows too. LOL. Pass if I cant wait for the real deal then I didn't really want it.
Wait for two years to buy a watch that you might not like or buy this now , see if you like it and then buy the real deal? Basically that's what I said at the end of the video. Thanks again for the comment.
@@WatcheswithGeorgeIf you buy and really don’t like a Helm watch (unlikely) you can easily sell it for substantially more than you paid for. If you don’t like the Cadisen, your money is down the drain. So it does not get you closer to the real thing but potentially further away.
I don't mind two holes, but three holes is better 🤭
Have the Cadisen, like the colors, but to me it wears small. I'm a fan of bigger watches.
