Welcome to the fabulous world of Home Free. The best a cappella group out there. They are known for their tight harmonies, best bass singer with a 5 octave range & world class beatboxer vocal percussionist. They are 5 of the most humble talented guys with a great sense of humor. They lean towards country but can do any genre. And they all can take the lead depending on who is best for the song. Most reactors start with "Man Of Constant Sorrow" & "Ring Of Fire". But they have well over 200 covers & original songs.

The group started in 2001 by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp
They are the only country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they are honestly do much more than just country music they can sing any genre and they do
They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular.
Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries and are very loyal to the guys.
Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire -Tenor can make any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonica (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc).Co founder from Mankato Minnesota.
Rob Lundquist :Lead tenor(beard and glasses) very soulful voice and master whistler from Minneapolis,Minnesota

There's that Home Free smile. They are so good. 5 very talented guys whose voices blend perfectly. Definitely listen to Stand By Me. The harmonies are fabulous. I think it's probably one of their best. They have a very deep and varied catalog. In addition to the new one I recommend The Driver and Helplessly Hoping. Enjoy the ride.

Yes, welcome to Home Free, all acapella, no instruments at all. Masters of all musical genres. They won the 4th season of the Sing Off in 2013. Their covers are upgrades, their medleys are brilliant, their collaborations with the original artists are inspirational, and their original songs are masterpieces. Within this 5 man vocal band you have 5 tenors, 5 beat boxers, and 2 bass-baritones. All of them can sing lead and they choose depending on whose voice best fits the song. They can do just about anything and they continue to grow and improve, yet they remain so humble. When they have featured guest artist, they support and allow their featured artists to shine. Several of them have their own channels and do some solo work. And just for fun Rob and Austin sing Opera. What else can I say? Their catalogue of work is quite large and continues to grow. You are in for an exciting journey and the Home Fries will be there for you all the way.

Home Free is the real deal. They won the 4th season of the NBC show the Sing Off and have been going strong ever since. They sing all genres of music and sing them well. The bass has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low and then sing high up with the tenors. Their beatboxer is amazing. They have a lot of covers but also write and sing their own music. Latest song is Stand by Me and their harmonies are exquisite. Good reaction.!😃

A good place to start to get to know their individual talents are their version of 'Man of Constant Sorrow' or 'End of the Road'. For pure harmonies without any beatboxing I'd suggest 'Helplessly Hoping'. Looking forward to your next reaction!

Adam Rupp (beatboxer) and his brother started the band in 2001. Rob Lundquist (glasses) and Tim Foust (silver streak in his hair) were the next to come (and stay) following by Austin Brown (long reddish hair) in 2012. When the beatboxer's brother left for a solo career in 2015, Adam Chance joined. Their version of Roy Orbison's 1964 original is true to the period - their suits & hair styles befit the era. 3 of them are song writers so there are lots of originals as well as covers. Fall down the rabbit hole - it's a great trip!

Stand By Me is the old Ben E. King song. But Home Free has something like 2-300 videos of their songs, covers and originals. They've been around for many years, and to my ears are the best acapella group around. The others are good, but Home Free is a cut above. Oh, and the various acapella groups don't usually seem themselves as in competition with one another, but help each other with arrangements, advice, and much more. It's nice to see that happen.

Try Home Free’s cover of CSN’s “Helplessly Hoping”. It’s their harmonies stripped down to bare bones.
They are releasing a new album later this month for their 10th anniversary of being on The Sing-Off. A great way to see how they have changed over the years would be to do dual reactions to those performances with the new versions of the songs. I suggest the Sing-Off videos with the judges' comments for a little more of a glimpse into their personalities.
No, we can't agree on that. Home Free are the G.O.A.T! They can do any genre and crush it every time. They have the 4 most elite vocal artists in the musical arena and a beat boxer/ vocal percussionist that is world class, next level. No contest.

NO, we can't agree that PTX is another level. HF, PTX and VP are all 1st class a capella groups, and the Bass Gang is quickly rolling up behind them. HF has more talent than any other group I have seen. World class singers, a world class beatboxer, a number of arrangers, at least one of which is world class, also. They are billed as "country" but do everything except (so far) heavy metal. They also have talented songwriters among them. I prefer HF's style over either PTX or VP, but I'd not say that any one of them is necessarily better than the other - certainly not 'another level'.
Now, go watch Stand by Me, and drop into the rabbit hole that is the 179 (as of now) official videos and the hundreds of unofficial ones.

The song was almost haunting and I don't remember the original giving me that, like that chill down to my bones.
She really just has such a unique sound that I really felt like I wasn't really ready for her. I am sure during the song some of you probably noticed that my mouth was hanging open and I had to remind myself to actually close my mouth so I don't look like a big dummy.
I am not really sure why shes not better known here in the US, because honestly, before people were telling me in the comments to listen to her, I had never even heard of her. But somethings telling me that's probably not going to be the case for too much longer because she has a lot of talent and she is super unique. I feel like that's going to take her really far. Thank you guys for recommending this. She was awesome.

PTX is good but Home Free is super wow. Watch and listen to Ring of Fire where Avi formally of PTX sings with the froup. watch near the end for what Avi does. So funny.
I personally prefer Home Free to PTX, but everyone has their own preferences. HF just fits my style better. Between this one and Stand By Me, they also released Life is a Highway as part of the new album mentioned before.
