Great review Darren. Thought you were going to break your double record the way you started. They fly through the air great with no fishtailing or wobble. I think I'll grab myself a set 😉
I’ve just bought a set of these having thrown straight barrel darts forever. I’m so much more consistent with these darts and can’t believe it’s taken me 20 years to try a different style of barrel. Keep up the good work Darren, you are costing me a bloody fortune 😂
Great review, the original red pen game. Played John numerous times in the late 70’s early 80’s when he was stopping at our local pub. His game would still stand up against many off the greats. He never did get many two treble visits.👍
Thanks Edward! Yeah I seen a couple of iffy bits, but a lot are like that when looking so close, cant tell with my eyes looking normal distance though :)
Hi Darren, aye the John Lowe , from original to this great darts. Years ago had the original in 21g /short stem/pear flight, was a very easy dart to get on with . Might have to get a set again, I lost those. As usual, good vid , 👍🎯🎯👍, cheers
Nice review of some great looking darts. Some treble shooting treble 5,20and 1 😂 really thought you were on a roll on doubles 😊 Everyone asks about Rocky the main star 🌟 but How's Misty? 🎯 Happy darting 🎯
I had to write this before watching your review (which are fantastic 😉) these darts are fucking awesome. Wanted to buy them but they were not available at that time 😄
Yeah the old originals were my favourites at one time, but after I injured my shoulder and my throw was different they did not seem to work as well as previously. Cheers! :)
@@DartsReviewChannel it's a great bit of kit, but yeah you're absolutely right in saying it's ridiculously expensive, hope they send you one soon just so we can get your opinion on it 👍🏻
John Lowe vs. Auric Bristow. Old fart that I still prefer slikstiks and pear shaped flights! Though nice machined Aluminium alloy stems - Wonder if the Phase 4 will have the lateral groove twist like the Volute point?
@@DartsReviewChannel Boo! Unsubscribed! (joke) Odd though - old doddery farts tend to dislike Alloy stems as it is hard to put the flights in- and Sliksticks are - pensioner proof.
Originals where just a basic ring grip so only around 4 or 5 out of 10. Do you mean the Phase 5 Taylors? I think the grip is close to them but maybe the Lowe P3 are a little bit grippier.
I like the barrels and points, but I hate alloy stems, and especially when they have that machines design; it just looks cheesy. Thanks for the review, matey
I couldn’t agree more@andrewgreben, I’ve never been a big fan of the all gold look till these came on the market, I would of bought a set straight away, the only problem for me is, when I looked for the gold Unicorn stems, I couldn’t find them anywhere, I’ve found plenty of other gold stems and Unicorn supply the same stems in about 4 or 5 different colours, but not gold, so that was enough to put me off buying 👍
thanks for showing this set nice style nice set the set suits you for me the set could have more colors nice triples I haven't seen the player play very often I'm watching Fallon Sherrock and when the Belgians play thanks for the good review
Oh man!! There goes the collectibilty of that set! Original stems and flights used, and barrels grouped together! I have autographed Anderson, Taylor, Barney, and Cross sets. NO WAY would they see a board. Drops values by half or so.
I wonder why he would bother getting an autographed copy of them at a higher price. In either case, they are a nice looking set, and another great review.
Somehow I feel unicorn is running out of big names to carry their brand … I wonder where they took a wrong turn, when I started playing darts I remember them being like THE brand

Thanks mate, he has a great simple throw that lasts well so not surprising he still plays good :)
I love these classic barrels. Good review as always
Thanks Glenn, yeah they are nice! :)
Another great review Darren, always been a fan of the look of the John Lowe dart.
Thanks, yeah a great dart, all time classic style! :)
You never disappoint with any video. Great review. Nice set of barrels. On the close-up, it seems the coating has a lot of imperfections.
Thanks Edward! Yeah I seen a couple of iffy bits, but a lot are like that when looking so close, cant tell with my eyes looking normal distance though :)
@DartsReviewChannel Appreciate the response. I guess it doesn't matter that much when they get scratched up when grouping.
I have these darts, love the grip and style of the barrel. Nicest I've owned.
Nice one! :)
Classic dart... so close on the doubles challenge 😭😭😭you had four in a row at one point... oh well. Thanks for the review!
It is a classic for sure! :) Yeah 4 in a row, nearly there! :) Cheers! :)

Thanks mate, yeah should always have a set of the Lowes :)
Enjoyed the review, is John using metal stems and standard shaped flights now and not slick sticks and pears ?
Thanks Chris! No idea what he is using usually, not seen him use slikstiks for a long while though.
always loved those flights way back when i had hair but great review as always mate.
LOL I remember hair! :P Cheers!
Love the look of this dart and that grip seems awesome.
its a good level of grip :)
Great review Darren, would be tempted to try a set but Unicorn don't cater well for 26g 😂
Thanks! With such a short dart the 25g are probably more like 27g :)

LOL treble trubbles! Misty is ok she is scared of the thunder we are having recently though :)
Used John Lowe darts for many years with great success. Might buy a set just to have another set of new ones.
Great classics 😊
Nice review! Im a front Gripper as well, can you Tell me what is your fav darts to throw with front grip?
Thanks! Well the ones I have done best with are the Harrows Predators :)
@@DartsReviewChannel thank you!
Classic shaped barrel can't beat the lowe darts good review 👍
Yeah a great classic! :)
Would prefer if the gold stems Matched the barrel like Taylor phase 5 gold.
These look pretty good, especially in the board. The silver on the stem creates a nice contrast to the dart.
Yeah it does :)

LOL they are a nice one for sure ! :)
Always like John Lowe. Such a goat
Agreed! :)
You can't be a goat, only the Goat.
Love the John Lowe dart. I prefer the phase 2 for the smooth front section but they are more expensive LOL Keep the reviews coming mate. 👍
Yeah the old originals were my favourites at one time, but after I injured my shoulder and my throw was different they did not seem to work as well as previously. Cheers! :)
Any plans to review the Scolia scoring system?
not unless they send one, I have no reason to pay such a crazy amount of money for it, just not worth it really.

Thanks 👍 I would go for Phase 3 😊

How grippy are these compared to the originals and phase 5 darts, Dazza. Thx for the review.

yeah not a fan of alloy stems :)
I hit 2 180s first day these came in the post!
Great 👍😊
A beautiful dart and lovely to see the gold titanium finish but way to short for me
Yeah short darts are not for all! :)
I'm not usually a fan of all gold darts but god i like thise tho the whole set up

I dont know, maybe they will just have to bide their time and build a top rep again first :)
Why don't they put grip all the way to the back. It is so annoying.
the originals never had grip on the rear and they are not really meant to be throwing from there but no doubt some people may do so :)
There a bit bling for me Darren....
LOL gold is good but green is better :P
