As I type this, I'm wearing Encre Noire A L' Extreme at work. Believe it or not, it works really well! Yesterday, Guerlain Heritage (also great!). Habit Rouge gets me compliments at work 😁
Really nice picks Tim and I am very sure AL Extreme works very well as its a very classy scent, I have done a full review of that one, and I will always have that in my collection.
I'm a medical practitioner and tend to favor 'skin scents' for work as they don't project too much but can smell v clean & 'tidy'. I find Bleu de Chanel EDP/parfum v suitable. In my experience, at least!
Great list and I enjoyed it and I like chanel bleu parfum and chanel allure homme sport extreme and Dior homme eau and I'm going to try the other fragrances and have a blessed day
AC! Another winner! Enjoyed all your selections! I followed up on your recommendation of Armaf Legesi/Legacy - what a wonderful fragrance! It just amazed me. Have only done an initial spraying but what a powerful fragrance and beautiful. Like the flower arrangement and do not tell me they are from your garden! Keep moving forward my friend.
Lamar, I am glad you enjoyed it mate and I wish those flowers were from my garden mate :) Absolutely delighted you went for Legesi, I adore that scent :)
AC was right. I was one of the people who blind bought Armaf Legasi after his review and I really enjoy that one and so did the staff I work with. Another great video AC I've got a couple of new ideas. Thank You
A few have already said it. I love your videos old or new. You are the best. Classy, elegant well spoken. Whenever I get the itch to buy a few new ones I come to your channel. Thanks.
A.C., should I buy Lalique? :D it's so cheap... do you think I would like it? I wanna try lavender, wanna experiment with fougeres a little, but don't wanna spend a lot. (my taste: hate musk, not fan of celery/green smells like Grey Vetiver. Like: Versace Dreamer, Bottega Veneta pour Homme EDT, Tom Ford for Men / For Men Extreme / Black Orchid, Zadig et Voltaire This is Him)
Top suggestions as always. Sampled and REALLY enjoyed Sport Extreme. Have and use the original Sport often, but I need this one too. So well blended. 👍
Hello Ac, what a great list for office scent from you, hope you didn't mind if I share mine. Authority & classy - guerlain l'instant edt Warm & comforting - ysl body kouros Business Meeting - aqua di gio profumo Laid-back - armani eau cedre Deep thought - cartier declaration d'un soir White suit - ck all / Terre d hermes edt Masculine - Herrera for men Clean & fresh - Chic by CH Grab & go - boss bottled intense edp Based on your favorite list, I obviously would try habit Rouge and cartier declaration when I had a chance to test it beforehand.
Great stuff, AC. Will definitely sample those I haven't: Cartier, Trumper, Dior. Will have to experiment with not over-spraying the Extreme Chanel. Obligatory shout out for the performance on Lalique - my go to fresh fougere for frozen weather. Will probably pick up the Armaf, which adds Rose as the only different note from Egoiste Platinum (my first Chanel, office workhorse, and designer with the biggest dent in my collection). As you stated during your work scent over-view vid, the choices are non-obvious, exclude previously discussed Prada soaps, the Icon. Realize I have been using cheaper, slightly greener, more soapy-floral English Laundry Riviera (over-sprayed for performance) to the office instead of the Chanel Extreme (shout out for the cypress in the Chanel though). Can't wait for the niche list and discussion.
Thank you Michael. I would say, try the cartier and the Trumper fragrance first as judging by your taste you are a classy person, and I think you will enjoy them a bit more. I really have to get Chanel Platinum Egoiste and do a comparison to the Armaf.
Hey you got to make a video about spraying on skin vs clothes. I noticed when spray around back of knee on jeans some perfumes really project well for 2 hours where as some dont on skin for more than 40 mins
Great list AC! You know, I've never tried Guerlain Heritage. I know you said the old EDT was the rockstar.... Is there a new version of the EDT? If so, did reformulation issues keep it off the list? If so, I'll try the EDP. I seem to remember it being fairly cheap.
Thank you Dan, I would highly recommend Heritage EDP as its very complex and very classy! I must admit I haven't tried the current formulation of the EDT.
*Top office designer picks, AC!* Rockstar Heritage EdT was in the 90s my Dads signature. Todays EdT formulation at least kept my scent memory alive (although with slightly less performance). My additional picks would be: Hermés Bel Ami (spicy brown leather with coconut moments) and Guerlain L'Homme Idéal Intense (less gourmand, more spicy & earthy from that line). *Have a nice freaky friday!* ☕😉👌
Thank you Marcus, I like your picks buddy, both of which I have reviewed. BelAmi Vetiver is just superb! I must say your dad had amazing taste. I am fortunate to own a bottle of 90s formulation Heritage and it is just spectacular.
Just ordered vintage Heritage edt (gold cap). I can't wait to try it and compare it to my newer bottle. I would love for you to do a full review of it! :)
@@ACSmellsGood I ll give it a try my friend, but you have already gave me good options, sandalwood by Geo. F. Trumper is targeted now but we don't have it in Greece and I am out of budget too......
Trini, I avoid spraying on my shirt , 2 under my shirt and 2 on each wrist. If I am wearing something with less projection then I spray on my shirt like Dunhill Icon or Bal d Afrique.
Awesome Ac keep it up mate nice work brother your are fabulous another great list all of these scents are classy thank you .Again love you Ac what about aqua di gio Profumo
Thank you Yawar, and you know I used to like ADG Profumo but somehow I went off it and sold the bottle. Same happened with TdH Parfum only difference is I was never able to like TdH.
Nice choice 👍.. I have got or sampled most of them.. trying to get hold of armaf legaci and grey vetiver is my favorite office scent... would be my sotd Cheers 😊😊
Very nice list and it's hard to make an argument against any of your picks...only to state my personal preferences. Lalique Pour Homme EDP is a great one, and I would also consider Lalique Pour Homme Equus (my favorite) and would one day love to put my nose on Lalique Pour Homme Le Faune, if it weren't so hard to find and expensive. The Guerlain's are nice, but I would choose Terre d'Hermes or Tres Fraiche. And I would take Allure Homme Sport over Eau Extreme, simply because I find Eau Extreme to be a better date/evening scent. I didn't wear Sport for a year or two (was wearing a lot of Eau Extreme) and it still garners compliments while still maintaining a more professional/office edge IMO. Geo F Trumper Sandalwood is a GREAT ONE (completely overlooked by so many the fragrance community) but I absolutely love this gem...my second favorite designer sandalwood fragrance right behind (only slightly) Chanel Egoiste. I would choose Egoiste if I could only pick one sandalwood gem...but it's an outstanding fragrance and I am so glad to see it made your list. Tom Ford Grey Vetiver EDP....absolutely! Finally, I'm not a big fan of Dior Homme or Homme Eau, but I just love Dior Homme Sport (2012) and have a couple backup bottles prior to their changing the formula a couple years ago. Finally, one of my top office fragrances of all-time is Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme (Made in Italy version). Enjoyed!
@Bluebird 71 Wow! I'm surprised that I never posted a review at Fragrantica (usually do) just never fully gather my thoughts on this one. However, I did write down some initial impressions some years ago that I can share: -Nice spicy, zesty opening; reminded me of Bvlgari Man in Black -As it transitions, I would have to say this smells like a woodier sequoia/vetiver version of Man in Black. -An interesting mix of rich and earthy wood, fresh and warm spice and a gently sweetened aromatic quality makes Equus a solid early-Spring or early-Fall daytime fragrance. -How fitting would it have been to have been sporting Equus while watching American Pharoe at each leg of his Triple Crown? Horse racing, enjoying the outdoors and in the office or in a professional setting is where I envision this scent being most appropriate. -The EDP lasts a solid 6-8 hours on my skin and projected moderately as well. Overall, very likable and possibly lovable. -Much more woody and deep in the drydown. Okay, back in 2017 I picked-up a bottle of Comme des Garcons Sequoia (under the re-released Olfactory Library collection) and I would have to say that Equus reminds me of the results should you mix Lalique Pour Homme with CdG Sequoia. It's a unique scent...very nice...definitely spicy....dark/rich woods...professional edge. I hope this description helps...I believe it is still inexpensive (I hope).
You know I detest TdH Jim :). I have been meaning to try Equus , hopefully I can get a bottle soon. I have huge respect for Lalique fragrances :) I recently tried the current formulation of Chanel Egoiste and I wasn't impressed. It has this oily stale sandalwood smell which was a put off at first. It settled down later but based on that opening I am not keen to get a full bottle, Sandalwood Cologne on the other hand is a much nicer fragrance.
@@ACSmellsGood No worries about Terre d'Hermes. One of my good buddies can't stand Encre Noire and I think bonkers. LOL! Equus is really nice and I described it to a fellow subscribers. I have the EDP, but I hear the EDT is also quite nice. Chanel screwed-up Egoiste? Ugh! Tell me it ain't so! IMO, they screwed-up just about each and every one of the EDT-to-EDP replacements I've tried. I have Corromandel and Bois des Iles EDT and both are stunning and perform extremely well. The new EDP version don't smell the same and last half as long from my experiences. Sadly, my bottle of Allure Eau Extreme ran dry last fall and I refuse to replace it with the newer EDP formulation. The EDP is nice (actually pretty close in smell) but there's something missing (can't put my finger on it) and it doesn't perform as well. Moreover, I ALWAYS received compliments when I wore the EDT and I picked-up several samples of the EDP from Sephora and not one positive remark. I've asked my gal if she could smell me an hour or so after applying the EDP and she said no. Sad, but true. Regardless, Sandwood Cologne is a keeper!
Jim , I couldn't agree more on the ET to EDP reformulations. The gut wrenching ones are Ambre Nuit and Bois d' Argent plus the ones you mention. Looks like you are going to force me to get Allure Sport.
@@ACSmellsGood I was big into the Dior Collection Prive (or whatever they called it) a years ago and picked-up Vetiver, Cuir Cannage, Leather Oud, Feve Delicieuse, Patchouli Imperiale, Ambre Nuit and Bois D'Argent (the big bottles). As much as I love these, the are beastly and I have enough perfume in these bottles to last another 25-years. LOL! I noticed Dior changed their private collection a year or two ago and introduced some replacements, but I have not tried them (they just didn't interest me) however, I did hear some folks were not happy with the ones that were reformulated. My 2013 bottle of Allure Homme Sport is getting low...I sure hope they didn't reformulation this one too. We shall see. Cheers!
Nice list AC! I definitely want to check that Armaf fragrance out for sure. I've been wanting to get Platinum Egoiste but dont want to pay Chanel prices for it.
Another great CPE clone/alternative is Franck Olivier Eau de Passion, which on my skin wears closer to the vintage CPE that i first wore in the 90's, where as the Armaf mimics the newer formulation. Both are fantastic frags though, especially for the price point, but if I had to choose 1 i'd go for Eau de Passion as I prefer the vintage CPE.
Another great video! I was expecting you'd come up with part two of the previous video. I just got Dior Homme Eau last week and I'm comparing it to Prada L'homme, as I'm writing the comment. To my nose Dior Homme has a slightly more classy feel, more depth and is more business specific, while Prada L'homme is more playful, fresh and youthful. Both great suggestions depending on the office environment. No 1 Spot on the list is a favorite of mine, it is just marvelous! Head turner! I might add a few more casual choices - Terre D'hermes Hermes EDT, D&G Pour Homme & something out of the box - Kiehl's Original Musk. Keep up the great reviews!
Part 2 of the previous video? You mean Niche list for summer ? You are absolutely spot on about Eau, its just a bit more tilted towards a neutral scent, it can also be an amazing scent for first dates.I haven't tried Kiehl's Musk and D&G pour homme, but I will have a look.
More of a sequel to the picking fragrances video I mean. Great choices, now I have to go and find out some of the fragrances that I'm missing... Office environment is so complicated, especially in the south of Europe, where women like boozy, woody and sweet fragrances!
Sir You saved me a Lot of Money haha..I have Grey Vetiver EDP and Heritage EDP but somehow I was Not convinced as I saw people praising EDTs more of theirs..haha now I'm finally set
Grey Vetiver to me smells like 90% celery leaves + celery juice + 10% soap. I don't understand this fragrance... I'll probably try this on a few more times in the store, but for the first time I could mainly smell the vegetable kind of greeniness, which was quite weird to me, because it's also elegant..
Daniel, so you weren't impressed by Dior Homme Intense and Grey Vetiver ... whats going on 😂😂😂😂. Can you please give me examples of fragrances that impress you, I am much intrigued !
@@ACSmellsGood A.C. :) well, among those I actually own, my favourites are: Versace Dreamer, TF Black Orchid EDP, TF For Men (except for its performance which is like 1-2 hours on me), Zadig et Voltaire This is Him, YSL La Nuit de L'homme EDP, Bottega Veneta pour Homme. And others which I sampled in the store: Nasomatto Black Afgano, YSL L'homme, YSL La Nuit de L'homme edt (I love cardamom both in fragrance and in my tea), Guerlain L'Instant EDP, Prada L'Homme Inense, Givenchy Gentleman EDT/EDP (new flanker, I bought this for my brother), Geo F Trumper Sandalwood. I like vintage and modern too, but I really hate anything musky or dusty (including ambrette and dustier iris smells), as much that it was for a while my mission to find an alternative to Eucris without musk lol :D I bought DG Light Blue Intense after only testing it on a paper strip, then worn it to the gym, and at the end of the day, I felt like the musk burnt out my lungs :D also I can't put up with Acqua di Gio (my dad is not willing to wear anything else tho) I'm not very much into citruses, except for actual lemon in some cases (like in TF Men), more like into sandalwood, lavender, cardamom, tobacco, incense, olibanum (not sure if I wrote it right, I mean the church smell). I am kind of unsure about vetivers at this point. I don't know what was that celery smell in Grey Vetiver, but I just tried on Hermes Voyage which also have this celery smell (along with mosquito repellent citronella smell bleh) and that one is not supposed to contain vetiver, but "green notes"... It's kind of long, sorry :D
Nice list. I blind bought Dunhill icon based on your views about it. The scent is nice but it's extremely thin and airy . The performance is very poor with no projection whatsoever.

my bottle of legesi came in. its a winner
Delighted to hear that mate :)
Guerlain & CHANEL 🤩
I love Cartier bro.
I like vintage and modern too, but I really hate anything musky or dusty (including ambrette and dustier iris smells), as much that it was for a while my mission to find an alternative to Eucris without musk lol :D I bought DG Light Blue Intense after only testing it on a paper strip, then worn it to the gym, and at the end of the day, I felt like the musk burnt out my lungs :D also I can't put up with Acqua di Gio (my dad is not willing to wear anything else tho)
I'm not very much into citruses, except for actual lemon in some cases (like in TF Men), more like into sandalwood, lavender, cardamom, tobacco, incense, olibanum (not sure if I wrote it right, I mean the church smell).
I think perhaps some of us have noses that are hyper-sensitive to soapy smells. I, too, find TF Grey Vetiver far too soapy to enjoy.
Nice list. I blind bought Dunhill icon based on your views about it. The scent is nice but it's extremely thin and airy . The performance is very poor with no projection whatsoever.
I am truly surprised. On me its a great projector and obviously smells amazing. Maybe leave the juice for a few months and then go back to it.
@Joe Bordo Yes,most probably its reformulated . It feels like Edc concentration . I can go for 12-15 sprays with this one easily without being much.
looks like I will have to get the new formulation to compare, I love this fragrance, so if its been reformulated I will be totally gutted :(
Nice list ... sir
Thank you Adam :)
No Terre de Hermès ? I was sure you would have this one on your list. Personally I prefer the Eau de Parfum.
i cant stand it , you are probably new to my channel :)
Smells Good ahaha ok ! Yeah I discovered your channel maybe 1 month ago. But I like your approach and presentation of fragrances. Classy
Thank you mate :)
I thought I'd see prada l'homme l'eau for sure! Lol
Hahaha maybe in part 2.
Dear AC I wish I could share office with you
Hahaha Tarek, I am sure we would be an awesome team :)
Thanks bro
Yeah... great list!! Keep putting the Chanel off.. don't know why I don't buy it
