Does it have an olive undertone?
This is my absolute favorite foundation! I wore it at my wedding and was stunning. Mixing with the pat mcgrath foundation in M18 gives me my summer shade and the mix gives me a flawless finish.
It really has a beautiful finish. Cult fave for a reason huh 🥰

You are so lucky to get the right shade 😊 I am your shade and I have been trying to get 7.75 but unfortunately they don’t sell it in my part of the world.
Have been making do with 6.25 with a darker setting powder and absolutely love the finish of this foundation… way better than NARS natural radiance performed on my skin 🥰
Ahh I can understand your frustration. I have the same problem with Lancome foundation. My shade isn't available in NZ sadly. You can also mix a little bit of your summer foundation shade to 6.25 and see if that helps?
It took me an unbelievably long time to find the right shade match online. They don't make it easy. Eventually I bought 7.5....too light. Now I have 7.75 and it's better but it might still be too light in summer. We'll see.
This range had me baffled. How foundation looked on my arm varied quite a bit to how it looked on my face. For me it was tricky even finding a match in person. I can only imagine how difficult it is figuring it out online.
7.75 is too orange for me, I still can't find my shade I'm yellow golden undertone. I tried the 7.5 tan to peach which was okay but not right undertone. I'm about to give up
My mac nc 40 looks too orange on my face and nc37 looks light . How i can find right one😐?
I've the shade 7.5 and I looks warm but when it settles down, it looks fab. I'm MUFE y405, dior 3w0, Tom ford Tawny , Bobbi brown golden natural, La mer suede 33. Armani has warmth as much it matches my extremely tanned hands and doesn't match my neck -chest as it's very very light. So I take it down till chest. Try 7.5 again before settling with 7.75

@@RashiRamalho lol it really is so strange! It seems you got there in the end, 7.75 appears to match your skin really well. We dont have Sephora in the UK so if we buy a foundation, we are stuck with it, and I rarely have much luck getting samples from the makeup counters 😫. But thanks to you im so excited to finally try the correct shade in this foundation! X
Oh no that really sucks!! Buying foundations online is so tricky. If I had bought this foundation online, it would have been shade 6 as every find your foundation website kept giving me shade 6 as recommendation which is totally off. I'm so excited for you to try 7.75! I really hope itz a match for you. Btw if you go bare faced to the store, maybe you can try this shade on your face before buying it?

Fyi..if you buy 7.75 shade then it will oxidize after an hour and turn your face orange. This happened with me, i recommend buying a lighter shade and then it will oxidize to your skin color.
That is very interesting. Whenever I've tried the other shades for a full day, they hadn't oxidized on me at all so I wasn't expecting 7.75 to..hmm I might have to try the sample again before purchasing. Thank you for letting me know🤗
I got 5.5 and it’s pink almost on me 😩
It makes me go back and forth if i even like the foundation . I should know better then to order online . I’m thinking I need 6.25 or 6.5
@@Nikki-rq8mh if you are light skinned then 6.25 might be a tad dark for you. It would work if you are medium to olive. However after using this foundation for the past one year, I realized that it is really not worth the money, works horribly in winter. Your skin would need a lot of prep for it to look good as dry skin would make it look patchy and will cling to dry spots. I would suggest you return it and buy Makeup Forever. Non cakey and looks better in real life.

Is 7.75 suitable for warm undertone?
Super helpful! I am also 3WO in the Dior Forever foundation, but in the swatches, it looks like 6.5 is a much closer match than 7.75. Do you think 3WO is a match to 7.75 because of the oxidization?
You are absolutely right that 6.5 is the closest match to dior 3wo in the swatches which is why I thought 6.5 was my match initially. I can wear 6.5 quite comfortably as long as I don't build up to full coverage. I think this is because the undertone in 6.5 isn't as warm as dior 3wo. So when built up to full coverage, it actually gives me a slight grey cast and the foundation ends up looking lighter. So for 7.75 although it swatches much darker I think because of the warmer undertones end up looking better on me. Itz confusing I know but if I was to buy 6.5 I wouldn't have a problem because I only wear foundations up to medium coverage anyway.
I bought 7.75 because it was a perfect match to my face, but it oxidized pretty bad and turned my face orange. I recommend getting 6.5 or 6.

Oh wow. I'm Fenty 310 and I heard 7.75 is darker than that. But you're lighter than a 310 so now I'm confused lol. I can't get samples atm so I'm stuck :(

I agree with Rashi, I also wear fenty 310 and 7,75 in luminous silk is spot on. Fenty I use if I need more coverage and luminous silk when I want a natural look

Finding the right shade is no joke. Shade 5.9 is 90% closest to my skintone. 5.9 is a light-medium olive shade but a hair too dark. And since so many shades are so peachy, I ended ordering 2 minis for mixing purposes. Shade 4, too light but a true golden, no peach or beige. And Shade 6, which is too dark but a true olive shade. I have a light medium skintone that's a LIGHTER olive skintone, which is a hard shade to match. I think Fenty has a lot of olive shades. But I'm not a fan of Fenty foundations.
Yeah many brands either skip olive undertones or will only have 1 or 2 olive based shades. Considering olive tones span from light to deep skintones...itz a huge gap! So I'm not surprised that you are not able to find lighter olive shades. I hope in future we will see more olive representation🤗
Iv been using the shade 7.75 for over a year now..online shade matching in these luxury foundations is a bit tricky. Would you say Tom ford 6.5 is as good a match as Armani 7.75?

Yeah I know it really sucks they aren't giving out samples. It makes no sense to be honest. This is why I've been trying to get a few shades to swatch against foundations to help people figure this out. Buying foundations online is such a pain. I've gotten it wrong a few times 🙄 I love smashbox foundation. Itz my top fave as it has no alcohol, no fragrance and a hydrating natural finish. Shade match for this is tricky too. I still haven't gotten it right

Hi Rashi, have you ever tried the Ilia Foundation (not the skin tint)? I don't think I have seen a video about it on your channel unless I missed it! I feel like the finish and texture is quite similar to Luminous Skin. I recently tried and have officially converted, and will probably won't use Luminous Skin again because they feel that similar.

Yeah, they feel super alike. I'm close to your skin tone, maybe half a shade darker, but I do use 7.75 in Luminous Silk and shade 8.5 in the Ilia foundation. The Ilia one might also have a better shade range, because I found my match pretty quickly and easily. Can't wait to hear what you think!

hmm i have oily skin and i am debating between this armani one and the estee lauder double wear. just looking for a foundation that lasts and doesn't feel sticky. maybe i should get samples for both and see which one works best. btw we are the same shade :)
I think estee lauder is slightly longer wearing than armani and estee is pretty budge proof. I do recommend getting samples of both if you can so you can compare them side by side and see which you like better🤗

You have a very tricky skin tone. You aren’t quite olive from what I see (not so green) and you’re more on the warmer end of the spectrum, much like the medium -medium tan shades of the It Cosmetics CC cream. You look great with very warm oranges, pinks, and reds, colors that I personally avoid because they clash with my greenness. (I wish I could wear them too 😔)
Anyway, I appreciate your effort and amazing swatches! They are very helpful benchmarks for me. We are very similar but aren’t quite the same. 😂
Haha you are right about having a tricky skin tone lol I think I have a skintone that is mostly yellow with a hint of green. For example completely olive foundations (or cool olives) look odd on me because they don't have the strong yellow base that I need where I can wear yellow based foundations without a problem. But if those foundations are too yellow then I also look weird. I find that Dior 3 warm olive is one of my best matches as it has a lot of yellow and little bit of olive hehe.
Great video. I absolutely love this foundation but have the shade 6.5 which is touch lighter than my skin tone. But 7.5 and 7.75 seem too warm and dark. Did you look at shade 7? Was the undertone not right for you? I’m looking for a shade darker than 6.5 with a neutral or olive undertone. Thanks
Yeah this foundation is really weird. It looks dark on the swatches but when I applied it to my cheek as you saw in the video it didn't look dark. I don't remember seeing shade 7 instore sorry!

Itz hard to say. I really love the skin glow finish. Armani is really beautiful but I wouldn't give up my Dior skin glow if that helps😅
