  • So i see a lot of videos on this topic - i decided to check the science behind it all - and i was quite surprised at what i found.
    The correct tongue posture will probably make you more attractive, if not it is atleast a healthy way to breath.
    Please comment if you have any questions etc.

    Well mewing won’t turn a blob into a model but it will turn a blob into a slightly more attractive blob. It’s not drastic but it will definitely help if you give it the time.

      That is ridiculous stupidity. It would arbitrarily depend on the proportions of your face and which direction they needed to go to gain more symmetry, and to more closely resemble the ideal profile of the facial structure the viewer associates with good memories, for example looking like them or their family, unless their family were evil monsters then looking LESS like family would help.
      What it makes someone look like is a mindless zombie, like they have the IQ of a rock. Clear, and concise verbal skills are what make someone attractive in real life, not a fake stoneface.

      @@kaiser4883 Not really, a lot of women confuse the higher male sex drive for suggesting they are more attractive than they really are. Men will usually, gladly sleep with multiple women they have no interest in a long term relationship with, if there are no repurcussions, so a single (one) male can make several women feel more attractive, and yet, we known these women depend on alcohol, fancy or revealing clothing, and makeup, more often than not. It's called insecurity.

      If you raise them right, you won't have to teach them: breastfeed them for as long as possible, give them chewy foods right off the bat (of course, when they have teeth; I'm saying don't give them baby food for too long), and don't let them suck their thumb. Don't give them a binky, either, at too old an age; maybe help them find comfort in chewing instead (of course don't make it an unhealthy thing, like don't let them find comfort in beef jerky or sugary gum). :)

    Nobody does it right. You have to lightly engage the bite, just enough to feel your teeth all pressing together and a connection to your cheek muscles (pursing the lips a bit helps). Then you guide the mandible up and forward via the tongue, which remember, is a bilateral structure: up by raising the back of the tongue and pressing it into the soft palate while raising the chin (which should also encourage the clavicle flexion necessary to fully open the throat and nasal airways) and forward, which is counterintuitively done by straighten your upper back and neck with a chin tuck, a movement initiated and guided by the simultaneous unrolling of the anterior portion of the tongue along the hard palate. The forward vector emerges in the maxilla as a counter-force to the compressive effect this movement has on the face. The head basically swings up and forward from the cervical spine guided by the pressure of the tongue against the palate but not caused by it. You should feel it as a reorienting of the base of the skull at the sub occipital muscles, a widening of the shoulder blades and the spine comfortably sinking into the space between. It feels so unlike what you think good posture to be that it will feel utterly wrong. This is the obstacle that few get past. Careful attention should be placed on the outer edges of the tongue to flatten or sharpen the blade and keep lateral pressure against the back teeth. Paradoxically you must both raise the chin and tuck it at the same time, which can be visualized as raising the tip of the chin but tucking the outer angles under the ears. You want to open the superhyoidal space from the ears to the chin while disappearing the subhyoidal throat safely into the thoracic outlet. This should cause a massive reorientation of your shoulder girdle if done properly, leading to a shortening and thickening of the neck. Ultimately this tongue position, when coordinated with the directive of our visual gaze, constitutes the primary control of Alexander Technique. You can connect this movement to the shoulders and hips to guide the entire spine into lengthening and widening in stature for optimal social impact and circulatory, thus general health. Basically what I just described is proper use of the cranial nerves as a necessary condition for proper use of the spinal nerves. The whole human unravels willfully from the vomeronasal organ implanted in the maxilla as a sort of cranial nerve zero. Thus your tongue tip must dig into the incisive canal and that pressure becomes a sort of throttle for your intention and metabolism in general. The breath should be directed up the axis of the vomer, up the perpendicular plate and into the crista galli, between the eyes. This is the holiest of holies. Movement at this point will precipitate further realignment of the cranium and a restoration of preternatural brain function. Revolution will follow.

    • @Crowbar11115
      @Crowbar11115 5 лет назад +14

      You pretty much summed up the exact feeling I had during my first "True Mew". My neck/base of my skull was ON FIRE from activating muscles I've never used and I could actually feel a new outward lateral pressure on my mandible joint. It literally felt like I was widening my jaw at will. The tip of my chin hit an angle I've never felt before and my shoulder posture needed to be reoriented to allow for all of this to take place!
      Luckily, I was given a few lessons on the Alexander Technique a few years ago and was immediately reminded of how my body felt after I was given my first "adjustment". I attended a really cool Guitar class and The Alexander Technique was part of the course. The instructor physically maneuvered our bodies into proper alignment while we played...it was hilarious to see EVERY student freak out when they hit proper alignment because you feel weightless!
      After locking in a really strong Tongue Root pressure on the roof of my mouth I had to fight to maintain that position while shifting my neck, shoulders, chin and chest posture to make things feel harmonious. Mewing is definetly not a "quick fix" or easy solution. In a way, that's why I love it! I love a good challege.

      How do you know all this?Source?

    • @jacobsaintjames
      @jacobsaintjames 5 лет назад +17

      No source. I am a monk. I have spent the past ten years in relative seclusion developing a physical practice that draws from both ancient and modern knowledge. My background is peri-medical (neuroscience) so I was already familiar with anatomy and neural control of physiology, but I started with the anti-medical premise that we are first and foremost mechanical structures under gravity, and that proper function follows proper form (or proper circulation follows proper pressurization of the body by postural control). I have also discovered the importance of the hemispheric duality and how we must maintain balance between the poles of the lateralized autonomic nervous system as expressed in the bilaterality of the body, particularly by learning to adopt left-handed (or non-dominant, rather) core positioning and strength to align the shoulder girdle and decompress the subclavian structures, greatly enhancing circulation to the arms and to the brain.
      This kind of thinking formed the cornerstone of ancient through medieval medicine, which was not so primitive as we have been taught. It degenerated as we grew more infatuated with the microscopic over the mechanical, and also because the old systems put much responsibility on the patient for their own cure. The full ancient wisdom I believe was suppressed (purposefully for profit or popularly from laziness, I do not know) by the growing modern medical industry in favour of chemical and surgical treatment administered by a doctor, which are more easily monetized. Certainly we the people have let doctors take control of our bodies because we are lazy and do not want to be responsible. If you knew how much hard work I have done and what I have sacrificed on my journey... and I am still far from arriving at the level of preternatural function that I know lies dormant within. The way is shut mostly by the level of discipline required to grow actively into our bodies. How much easier to forget the body and grow passively into it; that is, until we realize that the passive growth of the individual is the active growth of disease process.
      You really will not find much remaining in the West of the old physical system handed down from Ancient Egypt. There are the old symbols of the religions, which are all simplifications of bodily architecture to be visualized and projected by the motor cortex as ideomotor primary control to the large-scale organization of our structure. Freemasonry is the largest store of such information. I am not a member, but I recognize that their temple metaphor is of the human body and their art depicts the crisis of rising a crooked ladder against the constraints of torque. Even then, masonic scholars drew from Yoga and TCM imported alongside opium down the original Silk Road. Eastern physical mysticism was codified in the West as the Hermetic practices, although by the time of John Dee this had been largely taken up into the occult and it is difficult to find worthwhile occult texts in the public domain. After all, Pharaoh's knowledge is meant for Kings and Queens, not you and me.
      I mention opium because drugs have always played a part in human growth, all throughout history. Some drugs have the ability to relax our deep musculature and open the unconscious mind for exploration. They give us novel experiences, often of deep relaxation and proper orientation of the body normally prevented by an overactive sympathetic nervous system. Once we know what deep relaxation feels like, even artificially induced, we can strive to replicate that feeling when sober. Possibly even FM Alexander used opium in his self-treatment--which was widely used in 19th century Australia, particularly among artists and actors like himself--giving him the internal focus and deep relaxation to spend hours a day in front of a mirror developing his technique. Even the prophets of old carried spotted mushrooms and kaneh-bos (sic) as sacraments to talk to the divine. Personally I have used cannabis and psilocybin to great effect in understanding my internal environment. Drugs can be great teachers when the dosage is correct and enough time elapses between sessions to prevent desensitization. Meditation can achieve this state of heightened internal attention as well, and is certainly the healthier way. I do believe that if I had relied on meditation alone, I would still have a decade or more of work ahead of me instead of attaining the balance I seek probably in the next year or two. I learned the hard way cannabis must be eaten, not smoked, as the inflammation of smoking closes off the ribcage, which you seek at all times to open and expand.
      After scouring the web for others like myself, I am starting to think I am the only person in the world that has put everything together in this way. If there are others, they guard their secrets. I love humanity, and want everyone to be healthy and happy, so I share as much as I can. To this end I am slowly and clumsily developing the language to talk about these things where before no language existed. One day I will write a book and it is in preparation for this that I try to develop my ideas online. So if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I will start making videos when my transformation is complete. Until then, I have a Quora page with a lots of writing on this topic, which is properly called Spirituality.

    But mewing makes totally sense.

You see anime character's chins from the side view looking so unreal and perfect? That is mines actually. I have the model perfect jawline too. I started mewing since last year August-ish. Haven't been that consistent (once a week) Got back into it about 3 months ago and took it more serious and results have been great.
    Last 3 weeks have shown the quickest results when I started taking Vitamin D and Vitamin K2 (with calcium - milk) to speed up the results due to both vitamins acting well together to help remodel the bone structure.

      @@bobburger6802 Do you believe your bone structure actually changed and remodelled in shape or simply got thicker? Vitamin D and K2 is supposedly mainly helpfull to increase osteoblast and with that increase bone density if i'm not mistaken.

    • @bobburger6802
      @bobburger6802 5 лет назад +1

      @@TheActionTourist I feel like it is more-so a rotation of the mandible upwards. I had a longish not-so-sharp face but after mewing my long-ish face shortened by rotating the mandible where it should be.
      I've read from different sources that Vitamin K2 helps in facial symmetry due strengthening the bones and putting them back in place or something rather. So I feel as if combing that with Vitamin D and with mewing that the results would come relatively quicker than no combination at all.
      I feel as if the chewing (using chewing gum) has widened my jaw from a visual standpoint due to masseter hypertrophy.
      Only issue however is; I feel as if due to my now shortened face, face-fat is more easy to get and due to this I have to reduce body-fat to get a more proper look from the results of chewing and mewing.

    • @TheActionTourist
      @TheActionTourist 5 лет назад +1

      @@bobburger6802 Interesting. I brought this up since osteoblast aids in stabilization and bone thickening, not necessarily much remodeling and reshaping, therefore it should actually hinder mewing results in terms of actual bone placement (supposedly). But seeing how you described that you suspect a mandibulair upswing irregardless is interesting (now obviously remodeling isn't completely cancelled out by supplementing D and K2 though, but it should be slowed down appearantly). I've read about that the ideal vitamin combination for mewing is Vitamin A (only in food form as it's more likely to lead to toxicity somehow with supplements appearantly) and Vitamin D + K2 + Calcium. Vitamin A will aid in osteoclast (breaking down of bones and remodeling) while the others will aid osteoblast. I'm not too knowledgable about this stuff and there's still vagueness surrounding the effectiveness of supplementing this stuff for faster improvements (although people primarly claim that Vitamin D and K2 do help). Just felt like putting that out there. Might help.
      Anyways thanks for the response and sharing your experience and results.

    The health effects of tobacco is just politics. Take it or leave it. Smoking? Yes. Chewing tobacco? I haven’t heard anyone or seen a legit forensic evidence that someone died of chewing tobacco.

    Science won't back it up and the average person won't see results because Mewing is HARD work and takes years for Adults to see real results. The average person is going to give up day 1. Thankfully, I have ridiculous willpower and was able to hold proper tongue posture for a few hours day 1, about 10 hrs day 2 and about 15 hrs day 3. I'm already waking up with my tongue in the correct spot on the roof of my mouth and was able to maintain proper tongue placement and nasal breathing (aside from 3 mouth breaths) while on a treadmill for over an hour. Having looked into about a dozen of Dr. Mew's videos, I've also begun to chew my food much more thoroughly, I keep a much better overall posture during my day to day activities and I've started to chew rather large amounts of gum... then I ball up that gum and smash it flat on the roof of my mouth using my tongue over and over. It's pretty remarkable how strengthening the tongue actually stabilizes the neck and makes good posture easier to attain.
    In just 5 days I've noticed a significant amount of ease while breathing (my sense of smell is more acute too), my sleep is deeper, my tongue is actually straighter in my mouth to the point that my S and T sounds have changed (I'm a Voice Over guy and noticed that change immediately), my posture is better, and the size of my Masseter Muscle is already visibly larger
    Unless you really enjoy setting and accomplishing goals, Mewing is probably not for you. I've already dedicated over 40 hrs of my attention to it in under a week. It's truly a lifestyle decision and not something you can do here or there like a hobby.

  • @MrAnperm
    @MrAnperm 5 лет назад

    Just breathing through the nose is better for overall health.
    CO2 keeps your blood vessels open and so does nitric oxide (NO) which comes from the sinuses. Your overall circulation will improve with nose breathing. Breathe gently, heavy breathing expels too much CO2. Nose breathing activates your diaphragm, while mouth breathing causes shallow chest breathing.
    If you think you can’t breathe only through your nose that is because of the ‘air hunger’ you feel, which is caused by increases in CO2, not by lack of O2.
    Once you continue to breathe gently through the nose you will find that you are getting all the oxygen you need. The CO2 is dilating your blood vessels which makes it easier for the O2 to get where it’s needed.
    You get plenty of O2 when you breathe through your nose, in fact half of the air you breathe out is excess O2.

    When i rest my tongue including the back of my tongue my lower jaw automatically protrudes forward. Also my tongue seems too big to fit because they touch the side of my teeth. But should my lower jaw really protrude forward such my front teeth are almost parallell in a relaxed state? Upper front teeth are a tiny bit more forward. This state means my lower jaw has to get back when i eat?

    Ive been Mewing for almost 3 years now. I started during the summer of 2016 and have been doing it consistently. I also practice hard mewing where i press harder for some time. I started when i was 16 and now im 18 and i have seen some changes. The changes i saw was the width of my jawline but i did not see a change in my chin area because my hyoid bone is far foward. There is really nothing to do for a far out hyoid bone so i will never have a super far out nice jawline from the side but it looks very nice from the front. I would 10/10 recommend mewing anyways because of the fact that it is super healthy and good for you.

      Yes , you can change your face shape still. The facial bone sutures don't close until 65. It will take longer than a small child, but it will happen. Think of it like this: you're going to get a year older anyhow, why not be better looking? You'll eventually be 25. Why not be much better looking at 25? You have the power and the facial bones are malleable. It becomes easier over the weeks.
