    Ati Tar Saptak Flute Tutorial
Hello friends, in this video I have demonstrated how to play Ati Tar Saptak, (3rd Octave) or the Higher octave on the flute. Many students, especially beginners are not taught how t play the Ati Tar Saptak.
To play the 3rd octave on the flute, It is recommended to have a best-tuned flute with balanced octaves. It is also necessary that the player should have good blowing to produce the higher octave notes.
Please share this video with those concerned.
    Thank you for watching.

In my experience, how you get notes higher than taar Pa varies according to each flutes. What works in one flute does not necessarily work in others. A lot of things come into play here: bamboo thickness, bamboo grain density, bamboo length, distance between blow hole and the closed end, size of tone holes. All of these have a tremendous impact on the harmonics generated, and it is the easiness of playing harmonics that allows one to play higher notes. With each flute - even those pitched at the same frequency, one has to find out through trial and error how to get these notes cleanly. You can have an idea where to start if you have some knowledge of how harmonics work.
