I'm glad you did this one Martin. I have a conveyancer myself which is in pieces and I haven't been looking forward to restore it so far because it seemed quite difficult. Now that I have your video as an example I might give it a try one of these days 😊
Beautiful result, Martin!
Thanks very much my friend
Hi Martin! I haven’t forgotten about you, my friend. Been on the road for most of the last 2 months. Playing catch up on your videos now. Nice work on the fork lift. It’s sure nice to have so many friends of the channel pitching in with parts and decals. Turned out great. Take care and be well! 🍁☕👍
No worries Andrew, we all have lives outside of the Die-cast. You enjoy your time away my friend

This was one of my favourite toys as a lad. My four year old brain was thoroughly amazed by the rear steer--this was the first time I had ever seen such a thing. Anyway, great job my friend!
Thanks very much my friend, yes there's a lot going on with this casting ,and the steering does work well
I had this one when I was a kid. The seat part never sat flat when new . Lovely job
Thanks Gaza yes it seems its a common theme the seat panal lifting up, all the best Martin

That one was a bugger, Martin, but if you fancy unscrewing it and doing it again, I have some heavy-duty black cobbler's thread I can send you a length of in an envelope, if you like... great detailing on the engine and a really nice finish. Congratulations!

Really nice work on the forklift Martin, Cheers mate
Cheers Tom thanks for popping in my friend
I got the same forklift in a mixed lot very recently, , it is missing the driver and rollcage and handle unfortunaley so i cant test the lift, steering works properly. Thanks for another nice video
Unfortunately it should be😀
Cheers Andy, yeah mine was pretty much like that, had to wait and keep watching, for a donner vehicle, luckily Peter helped me with some parts .
Glad you enjoyed this one 👍
Nicely done, Martin. That brings back memories of the forklift I used to drive. Those were fun times in the factory.
Thanks Gerry, glad to bring back happy days for you my friend
Excellent job mate, yeh they call them forklifts in Aus too. My duo mate used to drive one of these in GHM in South Australia. One day he had a load of steering columns that weren't packed properly and they fell back on him, the roof protected most of him but unfortunately one hit his arm putting him out of work for a month. We have a gig outside of the local Bunnings hardware store tomorrow under a marquee Thursday afternoon so should be fun. Catch you on the next one mate.👍🏻
Hey Martin, many thanks for the detailed running commentary, I didn't realise that there were so many parts to this forklift. I just donated the winding handle and roll cage, not the driver. I've really no excuse for not getting mine done now once I've sourced a set of decals. I've not yet mastered making my own. Your model turned out really well, it's fantastic. Did you use the same primer on the plastic parts or did you use a plastic primer? Looking forward to next week's video. Very best wishes. Peter.
Hi Peter the plastic parts I just clean up in the warm soapy Warter, but yes if I paint plastic parts I do use a plastic primer, to be on the save side .you can do this Peter it's not that bad once you get started .
All the best Martin
We'll done 👍👍👍👍
Cheers Mick
Very nice work.
Different, but way cool 😎.
That last part was playing with your brain 🧠.
😂😂😂😂
Mike .
Cheers Mike, yes it was a brain tesser that last bit 🤣🤣 all the best Martin
Once again you have made a very good video
Thanks very much Colin it's really appreciated my friend
Wow, love this one Martin. I was given one of these for my birthday when I was a boy. And because I didn't play with it very much, I actually still have it! It's one of the few survivors from my original childhood toys. I still have the plastic pallet too! Mine has several missing parts but still has half of the roll cage on it. It's worth nothing money wise, but it's worth a lot to me because of sentimental reasons.
That's great you still have it 👍
Don't lose that pallet .
All the best Martin
Martin put a bit of super duper glue on it no one will want to lift it up as it’s going in your cabinet another fantastic job well done porridge went cold again while watching 😅
Cheers Anthony, sorry about the porridge mate 👍 all the best Martin
Great work mate ,my favourite toy which I got from mum on my 5th birthday was this matchbox super kings DAF lorry with fork lift and pallets the lorry was in metallic green and fork lift was red ,
All the best my friend
Mark 😊😊
Super Kings #K20 Cargo Hauler and pallet loader.
Cheers Mark I have that truck but no other parts for it though, its a nice truck ,all the best Martin
Nice Martin
Thanks very much Glen
Fantastic job Martin the forklift is looking better then new k.u.t.g.w. cheers👍
Thanks Jeff much appreciated brother
This restoration on this type of forklift reminded me of the York, & Clark forklifts that I myself operated, the best ones I operated is the JCB , JohnDeere and CAT, these 3 there were the telescoping arms , shifting lift assembly which was great for tight places when I was working for (SHA)Maryland State Highway Administration , but hey Martin enjoyed the restoration you’ve done on this particular type of forklift, it’s always interesting how the mechanism work in these diecast models. Take care Martin ole buddy , see ya on the next one.👋😎🚒🚚🛻🚙
Thanks Jeff, yes I liked driving the fork lift many moons ago ,some of the new ones are really interesting with all the new gadgets.
All the best Martin
Great job as usual. Just for Peters sake take another look at the rope I think it's supposed to go over the black top , between the bar at the back and through the grove in the top.
OK thanks very much for the information, I will have a look
Great vid again, spent nearly 40 years driving Yales and hysters, lansings on scrapyards and foundries, you was lucky if you had a roll cage that wasn't broken and tyres of the same size, brakes were at most a luxury but fun times,17 minutes to get 25 ton of baled srap of lorrys or the gaffer was upset, last place was fun though as besides scrap he also collected militaria so some days I'd be getting tank guns of to restore or pushing sherman hulls about or american armoured cars off a lorry, ended up with some nice bits from the fury film.
Sounds like a great time, I love a good scrap yard, and thay we're definitely better times ,when you actually enjoyed going to work .
Hi Martin this came out amazing, one of your best. We see Stanley's out cold, a bit to close to the glue we think. All the best from Ian b & the family.
Cheers Ian ,yeah Stanley was having a duvet day but forgot the duvet.
All the best Martin
Good Job got some pics for you shortly pal
Cheers nigel look forward to it my friend
gee, so many parts... again. :) but it works. ^^ looks nice and shiny again. but Derek remains un-armed and dangerous I guess? ;)
as for the floppy mast, I keep thinking that the dashboard-engine hood piece has had a plastic tongue there braking down the mast movement, and of course they are all worn down by now. just me speculating here, of course.
Yes I was a bent peice, that I didn't notice but it's all good now .which iam happy about ,all the best Martin
I have just watched this . What a fiddly job but turned out great as usual martin .
Thanks Glyn yes it was a bit fiddly always seems worse when your trying to film it ,all the best Martin
Good job Martin. Came out a treat, but not my cup of tea, cheers Graham
Thanks Graham no worries my friend it would be a boring world if we all liked the same things.
All the best Martin 👍
A ++ we collect forklifts as well..although not common in diecasts..
Thanks very much. Yes, they are not that popular. I have restored 2 an older dinky and this newer one, and I found the views aren't as good ,but thay all need restoring popular or not.
All the best Martin
Hello there Martin a very nice job on the forklift. 👌 I've got one but it's is Pretty good all I've got missing is the Winding handle. The odd ones you got are you thinking of doing a code3 a nice red one would be nice just a idea 😁
Cheers Ralph, yes I will definitely be doing a code e with the spar vehicle.
All the best Martin
Awesome, very tricky to do
.
Thanks Andy much appreciated my friend
Martin, nice job, silly question, the driver seat that lifts, on the real fork lift is the seat a cut off so will only operate when driver sit on it?
Hi buster, it's quite possible I couldn't be 100%, but health and safety you never know.
Really great project it came up a treat well done Martin
Thanks very much my friend its really appreciated all the best Martin
Excellent restoration Martin ❤😊
Cheers Shawn 🍻 much appreciated my friend
