    Is it possible you could play anything Shostakovich (Minus waltz, jazz suite, and 5 short pieces for violin and piano), like a Tuba rendition of Cello concerto?

    I wish I could met this guy in real life. He is a inspirational person to me. Im in seventh grade and I just started playing last year. If it wasn't for this man, i probably would have done away with playing the tuba. So i just wanted to say thank you øystein and I hope you find the time to read this.

    Mister, I really love your playing. Initially, I watched you since it was recommended by my tuba teacher. Is there any tricks to not sound ugly when you transition between notes quickly? Is it really just down to practice? Thank you

    • @jje9926
      @jje9926 3 года назад +1

      Lip slurs practices like “beautiful sounds” are great. The thing that most people do wrong is stop their air between slurred notes and force with your lips. Don’t do that. Use more air and relax. Faster air to go up and slower to go down
