1.25 speed is the speed that sounds best to me, but idk. I feel like every string arrangement of this piece is leaving something about the original out.
So happy I found this song performed by strings! My Senior year orchestra played this as part of our final concert. Had it stuck in my head today. Very pleasant memories.
I played this today for a band concert and we only had about 36 hours of knowing the piece before we performed it. It was so much fun and I miss it already!! Go clarinets!!!
1st violins, 2nd violins, and violas, if you aren't playing the fff part at 184 all on the G string then you should start doing that because it sounds sooo cool!
What g-string notes?? Those are on the d-string, and if u mean play those notes on the g-string, why? Because that's just unnecessary shifting, plus some conductors are specific with the string u play on.
@@GlxwMain Playing all those notes on the g string loudly creates a really cool and powerful timbre that I think works really well in that section. It's not necessary, but it's awesome. And the fingerings aren't that difficult
@@codascheuer8426 True, I might teach that to the 6th graders that are in the audition group I am in next time we have sectionals, then maybe get that approved from the conductor....
@@GlxwMain Ok, maybe 6th grade is a little too early for them to be doing that, unless they've been playing for a long time. I played this piece in highschool, so I knew the kids in my orchestra could handle it. But it also wouldn't hurt to give it a shot. It just depends on their level
I played this a couple years ago in orchestra and so i thought it would be a great idea to try to play along with the video and boy was this song harder than I remember
TheAwkardTurtle aka-NatNguyen i think it's suppose to be slower because it's hard to play faster. With all the shifting on the a string it's hard. If u even play the violin. My friend was in the advanced orchestra in middle school and practically 80% of the orchestra left to do other things. They were amazing tho, but most left because they gave up and couldn't handle it.
Astralliie I did Suzuki up to book 5 and then did solo pieces selected by my teacher. To play this well ("well" being a key word) I'd say you've got to be passed book 5 for sure.
Ok but this sounds like Arabian Nights ~Soon Hee Newbold in the some parts ngl Don't get me wrong this is an amazing song, it just sounds similar to the other one (:
playing this in orchestra at like 1.25x speed and my orchestra teacher’s absolutely insane wish me luck fellow orchestral musicians ☠️
How was it?
1.25 speed is the speed that sounds best to me, but idk. I feel like every string arrangement of this piece is leaving something about the original out.
1.25 of this recording’s tempo is normal tempo 😅
That Caracasian Adaptation is the best
I had to play the original version by Saint-Saens at like 1.35x this tempo 😭
We’re playing this in orch... rip fingers
R.I.P☠️
*Aaha* my fingers!!!
Same here, it's honestly the worst
It's not all that bad, but it will be one that you can also memorize on the spot
@@itsnando20 lol
Had to play this for All State. It has scared me for life.

Do people even know the violas??
@@haleyneuman478 Haha ikr GO VIOLAS!
my orchestra is totally gonna tear this to shreds
We played this last year for a competition and got 1st places at nationals!!!
It was definitely my most favorite piece I have done!
🥸🥸🥸
congrats!
My favorite part is the Viola/Cello part at 4:42. Pushing through sounding strong AF!
Actually, it’s G, F, D sharp, and D.
@@temporaltoast9692 lol!

My favorite part is 4:12, because I like how fast it is.
play it in 1.25 speed
Yo, thanks!
Why
Bc thats the original speed at this piece ;)
*Good Jesus god.*
Well then rip cellos and basses at 4:13
Really a nice piece to listen to when your practicing your violin.
I played this a couple years ago in orchestra and so i thought it would be a great idea to try to play along with the video and boy was this song harder than I remember
Nice score ! A great tribute to Saint-Saëns.
Lovely! Years since I have heard this piece, it is so sensual, so colorful. Yeah, classical music rocks!
I remember playing this in orchestra one year and I couldn’t remember the name of it and I finally found it
Still better than many other arrangement whose only purpose is to make noise. Those are not "bacchanale".
i'm so mad because i never got to play this piece in my year end concert due to covid ;-; i was SO excited for this one
that one long part for the violas brings me pain
which part? theres many🥲🥲
@allisonridgeway8850 the 40 measures of violas playing the low A
I never wanna play that portion again
We never get the good part smh
currently playing this piece, i literally cannot count it at all so i just don’t

If you’re not playing measures 181+ as fast as humanly possible what are you even doing
I have to play this as a first chair violin for all city
The description says grade 3-4 but im learning this in 8th grade
Orchestra grades are different than actual academic grades
ty olmedo really? This is a tough piece, and I learned it in 10th, and it’s still very hard, props to your director!
Same.

I played it at summer camp in 6th grade it was faster then this and it was really difficult this is a slower version

We play it in a children's orchestra at 1.5x speed. Camon, we are 14 each
Also at the end we have achelerando!
I'd make some comments, but then I realized that this written for Grade 3-4, so I know that it's supposed to be simplified.
Adam DiRocco Orchestral Grade 3-4 not Literally Grade 3-4
+Music Ghost do you guys do Suzuki Method? as in I'm in Book 7 out of 10?

This was our closer for marching band (A LOT OF CHANGES BUT STILL IT WAS THIS)

Playing this for my eight graduation concert 😭 it’s rlly smth….
played a variation of this by scott ward for marching band on trumpet, it was hella fun
I hope our orchestra wouldn’t play this at 1.5x the normal speed
Needs winding up to get to speed with the middle bit added.
