When I was a child, I hated when my mom cooked this, but one day when I was in university, my mom cooked them, and they tasted so good. I have enjoyed them ever since!
Thank you. I will make my version of this this week for meal prep. I would serve this with white rice because I think the left over juice from the pan would be yummy over rice when you serve this dish. I'd also couple it with a nice healthy protein like salmon.

Or if you can just do the filling that will help greatly. Also ill have to see if you have one for the good old fashioned lemon meringue pie where you cook the filling on the stove. My mother n oldest sister use to cook the filling in like two pots or something. I hate i never paid attention to them making it b4 they passed on to Glory.😢 It is my favorite pie. Ms Brenda, thank you for sharing this and all your recipes. I make this dish almost exactly how you do. I usually pair mine with baked/rotisserie chicken (sometimes I'll do a drunken chicken). Blessings to you & your family.
I fix mine similar to yours except I use olive oil and no water. I use everything that you used and a little thyme and a pinch on rosemary. After they're done I sprinkle a little bit of parmesan cheese. They're delicious! Oh, and by the way, your porkchops looked SOOOO GOOD! 🥰❤

They look so good Ms Dee I eat mine with fried chicken or pork chops sometimes I love them in a noodle stir fry have a Blessed weekend.

I would take the skin off and remove the seeds, then chop them into quarters with some cucumber and put them into pot of spaghetti with ground beef
