    To all you naysayers, I'm not sure what these amazingly healthy looking, bright, young looking people in their 4th and 5th decades of life would gain from misleading us. I have listened to Dr. Chaffee's podcasts for hours and hours. He is intelligent, articulate, and speaks fluently for hours on end, without a mis-speak, or a break in his energy and conviction. This is the first time I have heard Kelli speak, but she also seems very "spot on." I've been doing Keto for three years. I have been leaning toward Ketovore for the last ten days. I feel amazing. I am 66. I am leaning toward trying full on Carnivore. The only thing holding me back is cooking for the people I live with who are not on board.

      Thanks so much for your comments. Wishing you the very best in your continued journey. Sounds like you are open-minded and listening to your own body. I cook for others as well and I just feed myself meat first or feed everyone meat with local, seasonal sides for those that want them.

      I went full carnivore a few months ago (from keto) and it is absolutely amazing what a difference it makes even coming from already low carb.

      @@DrKelliRitter Dr Ritter, here's an update...my 28-year old son went mostly Carnivore, over the past two months, which makes it way easier. Cravings are gone. He is lean (always has been) and "buff." He seems to be enjoying his bigger, stronger muscles!

    How to fix ptsd and make it better? Besides gruesome therapy that is impossible to do. Reexperiencing for some makes therapy non achievable. I believe it has to be something more than just memories “stored wrong”… I do NOT believe they are stored wrong AT ALL! I believe they are perfect memories but something causes the panic and reexperiencing symptoms

      You’re absolutely right - traumatic emotional stress gets stored in the brain. It’s not the memory but the emotional charge that can continue to create problems for us. Havening™️ Techniques are excellent for PTSD. I would also say that quantum health strategies are the most helpful tools for stress, trauma and nervous system healing. Just my opinion.

    25:45. . . This segment about ancient people esting mammoths is not valid. Our ancestors would not have survived on hunting one of the largest land animals. It makes more sense to hunt smaller prey; such as deer. . .
    And the glaciers didn't simply advance over a long period of time. . . The earth was hit by a giant freezing comet at around 12,800 years ago. . . . This whole Younger Dryas period is a hot topic today.

      I have seen cave paintings of mammoths being swarmed by hunters. Today elephants don't feel threatened because of their huge size. They don't retreat unless they've experienced danger before. No one seems to have informed elephants (and mammoths) that those pesky humans have a killer "sting". It has been proffered that mammoths died out largely from over hunting. Also the reason people moved into colder climates was because they exhausted so much of the prey they had to move into the north. I can't imagine them moving to the north by choice given the extreme climate cold. They were following their next meal for survival in spite of the freezing and harsh living conditions.

      @@johnc.8298 Please send me a link to those cave paintings. . . There are still thousands of frozen mammoths that you can dig out of the ice and eat. They were flash frozen to their cores so quickly that their innermost gut didnt even have time to start to decompose.

      🤣 They didn’t hunt large prey with their bare hands. They used hunting tools and techniques. E.g. spears.

    I have a hard time cooking with no seasonings. I have been using salt and a little pepper but I’d like to cut pepper out. I just don’t like so many meats without something on it. I absolutely love pepper. Black pepper, white pepper, and hot peppers of all sorts. I can cut out everything else but peppers are going to be tough for me. I have a love for cooking foods that taste amazing and changing it up is hard but I have always loved meat. I have always loved vegetables too unfortunately. I could care less about bread or pasta. It is disgusting. I stopped eating it years ago after being diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. I could never eat it after. 🤷🏻‍♀️

      @@matthewtrapp4989 Just black pepper? I am going to look more into that. I didn’t know that was a high oxalate food. I just know plain salt alone is just not enough flavor since I was so accustomed to using beautiful seasoning flavors.

    I'm concerned about high ferritin iron levels in the blood due to eating too much meat...

    • @DrKelliRitter
      @DrKelliRitter  Год назад +8

      Yes, I understand that concern and some people do have higher ferritin levels when on a carnivore diet. However, many people maintain normal ferritin levels while eating carnivore. I know Dr. Shawn Baker frequently talks about this. I created a pro-healing diet for my clients and ferritin has, as of yet, not been an issue. It’s best to listen to your own body ~ every human body is different.

    • @johnc.8298
      @johnc.8298 Год назад +1

      You can easily get your ferritin iron levels checked thru a simple blood test. Get before and after carnivore ferritin tests and see if you're still within normal ranges.

    • @georgemoonman2830

      My iron was high on high carb, it's actually dropped to normal (exact centre of normal range) on carnivore!

    Does eating fermented vegetables undo benefits of carnivore diet?

    • @DrKelliRitter
      @DrKelliRitter  Год назад +4

      It depends on your body and where you are in your healing. Many people find fermented foods are somewhere between fine and helpful when on my pro-healing diet. Some feel best on animal foods only. I’m more interested in eating foods in season for mitochondrial health if adding plants. Can’t speak for Dr. Chaffee but I’m guessing he has videos about this question.
