The scriptures which are the writings of Moses and the Prophets and the new testament there after were written for our understanding of how Yahweh brought forth this creation and caused many wondrous works throughout history, now he gave us these writings for proof and correction so that we would desire the things from above and not of this physical world, Yahweh truly was manifest in Yahshua to Redeem Israel and the world from there sins if we all repent and acknowledge this truth, HALLELUYAH
Would you like for someone to call you other than your name? It’s due honor to the Father to call on and say his name correctly just as the name of our Christ is Yehshau just like his mother Called him. Nothing confusing at all and someone making a correct and truthful statement should be looked upon as something good not evil as your trying to make this poster out to be. In fact to correct your statement that Gods name doesn’t matter Allah is not the name of the one true God but is used by people that think their god is our God as they worship this false idol. So in ending if ppl want to call upon the God of creation the they should either use the appropriate name or just call out on the position of authority saying God🫠
I do recall there being a conversation with Jesus and his disciples where in it he tells them not to get caught up by the little arguments that arise, but rather focus on the important things.

So can you guyes answer which sect is correct? Catholic: faith through acts, protestant: faith through belief, or mormon: faith in aliens? Why not a consistant message from Adam A.S past Jesus A.S. One God, one law, many prophets, one messiah and more importantly one consistant message?
The Tetragrammaton (YHVH) is the consonants of His name. The Hebrews cut the vowels to make the scribal process quicker. The name Jehovah comes from adding the vowels of the word Adonai in between the consonants of the Tetragrammaton. So you go YA - HO - VA. Or Yahovah. This is Latinized as Iehovah, which is anglicized as Jehovah. In reality we have no idea how to pronounce the Tetragrammaton, but our best guess is Yahweh.
@@StalloneSiciliano V comes from the Hebrew letter Vav, it can be either V or W, but for the sake of demonstration, I wrote it as YHVH as opposed to YHWH, both of which are valid spellings.

@@Tony.S420 Well it depends on your definition. If you read and analyze the bible and if a practice or some prohibition is not in the bible, that is a sign of a cult, just like Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormonism. Jehovah’s Witnesses reject blood transfusions, the bible doesn’t say about blood transfusions, but rather said that drinking blood or eating blood is a sin. Mormonism on the other hand, says that drinking coffee or tea is a big sin because it contains caffeine and I don’t know why, that is unbiblical, they are in a cult with unbiblical teachings and making contradictions on what the bible actually says.
Actually we should say ‘YHWH’ remember the Third Commandment: “You shall not bring the name of YAHUAH your Elohim to naught (nothing)” Or in standard version: “You shall not misuse my name!” Saying YHWH is actually what gives us power, as well as YAHUAH (Heavenly Father) and YAHUSHA (Jesus Christ) God wants us to use His name, but not in vain!
I like your comments and attempts to get the names correct... I agree 100% that the names are almost if not the most important part. However I believe the names are as follows: The Father is YHWH (Yod-Hey-Waw-Hey) or YeHoWaH. It is definitely a W and not a V that is used in the Jehovah mis-translation, which comes from the Yiddish dialect that pronounces the letter "Waw" as "Vav", don't do this it is incorrect as you haven't done in your attempts which is great. And The Son is Yehoshua (Hebrew) pronounced YeHoShWaH, as the Son comes in the Father's name. It's Yeshua (Aramaic), and Joshua (English). When shortened you can use the abbreviation "Ya" or "Yah" but when the names are written in full the names start with "Yeho-". The way you have written the names can be pronounced the same way that I have written then, so I do like your interpretation of the names, well done on getting so close as you have, in speaking face to face, we would be saying the almost exact same names. Watch Nehemia Gordon's video for futher research in your walk in life my brother. ruclips.net/video/yeeA_Abd5Nk/видео.htmlsi=rUK8c0lBjVXB2gcH Definitely do not use the name Yahweh, which means Lord, which is the name of Ba'al, and is Satan worship.
Hello, first I would like to say very cool video! I will add on one thing, and that is that the reason people may say YHWH as “Jehovah” isn’t because of a translation error but actually something more complex. So basically ancient hebrew was written without vowels, so the name of God would have just been written with consonants as you mentioned (which as individual letters would sound like yod, hey, vav, hey) being pronounced yah weh/veh. This is how we get YHWH being pronounced as Yahweh. During a period of time religious jews were scared of misusing God’s name, however, so much that they practically stopped using it. This is where the name Adonai comes from, being used in substitute of the divine name when reading aloud. Not really because the name of God is so holy you shouldn’t speak it, but out of fear of misuse. This all comes together when later editions of the hebrew Bible obviously became a thing and there was vowel-pointing, the vowels in God’s name being replaced with the vowels in Adonai. This was if I am not mistaken done to remind readers to use that name instead of the divine name. However, if you miss this entirely and decide to combine the consonants in YHWH and the vowels in Adonai you would get YaHoVah or Jehovah. This wasn’t a translation mistake or a scribal error, but the mostly the fault of the English around the 16th century doing as I just mentioned. This is why people like Jehovah’s Witnesses say Jehovah instead of just “Yahweh”. Still, great video.
1) it's YHVH the 3rd letter is the consonant Vav. 2) This is Christian folk lore. I heard a Jewish Rabbi pronounce God's name, Yehovah. I know it's becoming popular to say Yahweh, but I'm not sure that accurate. They're missing the vowel between Hey and Vav (v not w). All Hebrew writing has no vowel characters per se. The vowels are not written because they don't exist as an individual letter. Vowel sounds are assumed based on which consonants and which jots & tittles are present. So they weren't omitted to hide the name of God. Although the name was sacred and protected. The Rabbi pronounced YHVH as Yehovah (and Anglicans pronounced Jehovah). Mystery solved. If a Hebrew Rabbi can say Yehovah then Anglicans can say Jehovah. Right?
Fact of the matter is, they stopped pronouncing it THOUSANDS of years ago. So the actual pronunciation has been lost to time. Because Hebrew is written without vowels people guess, which is why Yehovah, Yahweh, and Yahuah are names claimed. The V is written as W which is where yahweh comes from. There are also rabbi who suggest the name is without vowels Know what the name becomes then? YH- exhale VH- inhale It becomes the very breath we take Which makes the most sense because what is more wonderful and beautiful than that? God breathed life into us... which means our first breath would be an exhale
@@hummingbird_saltalamakiathis is misunderstood of our language. Hebrew language is written without vowel because words are made in triconsonantal root which make the vowel sound when you say it because you already know the word
This is slightly wrong. They actually inserted the vowels from Adonai (Lord) in between the letters YHWH. (Vav is also pronounced Waw) creating Yahowah. Then to German and then English it moved to Jehovah. All this is why we do LORD in our English Bibles and also why in the Greek in the NT when an author quotes an OT passage they write Kurios (Lord) instead of a transliteration of Yahweh.

😂😂😂 This is true. Hebrew is not a phonetic language. So you can't assume pronunciation from the written word, and since that word didn't get any vowels, we (saying that as a Hebrew speaking Jew) don't know how it is supposed to be pronounced...
That might sound cool and all but it makes no sense. How would ppl know when a person reading scriptures out loud was saying gods name vs just taking a breath? What if the messenger came running to deliver an important message and he was out of breath, then he’d be speaking the message and catching his breath at the same time so the message would contain god’s name after every 5 words…. Also the first inhale of a baby might make the uh sound but then the “exhale” is actually a cry, and cries are not the sound of a normal exhale 😮💨… Also does this theory apply when you sleep at night? As in when ppl snore 😴 ??? What if they breath with their mouth vs nose… there’s just so many variables
God is so perfect He doesn’t care what you call him. He wants you to call him as your Father regardless of how with the love and sincerity of your heart.
I love calling Him Father but yes He does care what name we call Him because He told us His name in Exodus. The Fathers name YAHUAH has been removed from the Bible over 6,000 times and replaced with the title LORD even though Yahuah commands us to call upon, pray to, declare and confess His NAME. It should never have been removed from the Bible because of a Jewish superstition of not saying Gods name. His people should KNOW His name (Isa 52:6, Prov 30:4, Ps 91:14, 1 Kings 8:43). We are told to “call on His name”many times (Zeph 3:9, Isa 12:4, Zech 13:9, Ps 20:7, Ps 116:13&17, Chron 16:8, 1 kings 18:24, Ps 105:1, Ps 80:18, Ps 99:6). The 3rd Commandment is to not take His name in vain. The word “vain” in the Hebrew language means - emptiness, nothingness. Not using His name is making it unimportant and bringing it to nothingness. In addition, instead of faithfully TRANSLITERING the Hebrew Name of the Messiah into Greek words that would convey the pronunciation and MEANING of the Name of Messiah Yahusha (Yahuah is Salvation), it is replaced with the false, unbiblical name “Jеsus”. That was not His name when He walked this earth and it still isn’t his name. There is no letter J in greek, Hebrew or Aramaic and J was not even in the English language till about 1660 so the fathers name could have never been Jehovah and the sons name could never have been Jesus. Jehovah- Hovah in Hebrew means a ruin, disaster. Yahusha says we are to worship in spirit and in truth. The truth is that our Saviors name is Yahusha, not Jesus. There is only one name under heaven by which men will be saved (Acts 4:12, John 4:23-24). We are told multiple times in scripture to honor His name, therefore we should call Him by His true name and His Sons true name. The name of the Father consists of only four Hebrew characters, reading right to left as exhibited in ancient documents as יהוה Yod Hey Wov Hey (YHWH in Latin letters). Hebrew letters are actually pictographs of actual things. * 1st letter, Yod = Y sound and was anciently portrayed as a symbol of a hand. * 2nd letter, Hey = H sound and means behold. * 3rd letter Wov = OO sound and means nail. * 4th letter Hey is repeated agan and means behold. If we read from left to right, His name means “Behold nail, behold hand”. Absolutely Amazing! Praise His name! His plan for salvation was depicted in His name from the very beginning! Just as our Savior was the lamb slain from the foundation of the world (Rev. 13:8). Yahuahs name points to the son And Yahushas name points to the father. The fathers name should never have been removed and the Saviors name should never have been changed. His name is forever (Exo. 3:15, Ps. 72:17) Pronunciation of Yahuah The “Yah” part is certain, since it is repeatedly recorded directly in the Old Testament (e.g. Psalm 68:4), both as its own “shortened version” of the name and as part of the whole name. So where does the “HU” sound come from? We find it in biblical names that contain the name of Elohim YAH, for example: YeshaYahu (known in English as Isaiapjgh, which means “Yahuah has saved”) YirmeYahu (from Jeremiah, which means “Yahuah will arise”) MattihYahu (in Eng. Matthew, meaning “Yahuah’s gift”). They are all pronounced “Yahu (Ya-hoo).” Where is the AH part? The fourth letter of the tetragrammaton, “hey,” is somewhat controversial, but it clearly forms the “ah” sound, e.g. in (English) Judah, Hebrew Yahudah, and it is not Judeh or Yahudeh. Thus, knowing that it certainly begins with YAH, then in virtually all contexts the next sound of the Creator’s name is HU (hoo), which is after YA(H), and given the sound of the last part, AH, is commonly heard in other words with the same Hebrew letters, it becomes clear that the name of our Creator is Yahuah! It’s also worth noting that the Hebrew word YAHUDAH has the entire name YHWH spelled out, except for the letter “D-alet,” but we know how Yahudah (Judah) is pronounced to this day, and we know what it sounds like without the letter D-alet, and it is phonetically Yah-oo-ah (spelled Yahuah). Almost that every hero of faith, king and prophet in the Bible had a name that included the Name “Yah”! ‘Lord' is not a true translation of His name. W would be as in Waw, like “water”followed by H which means it would be WaH. Together YHWH would be pronounced Yahowah (Yahuwah). And in the Second Temple Era, the tetragrammatron was ceased to be said because it was too sacred and so Adonai was put in place for it. Later on Hashem would replace Adonai after it too became sacred, some time after the destruction of the second temple.

It depends on which language you're currently trying to say God's name in. The point should be more about using God's name versus not using it. We are supposed to use God's name with intentionally. The details on pronunciation isn't important it's the fact of drawing close to God by also using his name as we understand it. And in the English language that is Jehovah.
I see you point. It’s about our relationship with him not really about what name we use. I usually just say God. And more specifically the father son or Holy Spirit depending on what I’m talking about. Good stuff

Sorry but you really need to learn the basics of ancient Hebrew.... " I am" is NOT a name but an explanation of God's name. So, read on to verse 15 where God tells of his name...it says...Then God said once more to Moses: “This is what you are to say to the Israelites, ‘Jehovah the God of your forefathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac,s and the God of Jacob,t has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and this is how I am to be remembered from generation to generation. Did YOU notice that in Vs 15 Jehovah tells them his name, but in most translation it says, " I am the lord" ........this is my name forever. So by replacing Jehovahh with Lord people are drawn the the wrong conclusion that "I AM" must be his name forever.....and before you think that YHWH (Yehovah) was addded, please look at the oldest Hebrew manuscripts such as the "dead sea scrolls" and you will see that in Vs 15 Gods name was there. Ex 3:14 in Hebrew is "ayer asher ayer" and means " I WILL BE what I WILL BE" and is an explanation of his name Yehovah........Regards
Theres no letter J or V in the Hebrew alphabet. The root verb of the pronounciation of the Tetragrammaton is "Yah" (to be) l, hence the biblical names (in original hebrew) Elijah, Nehemiah, Jeremiah, Hezekiah, Zechariah, etc all of which literally translate to "YHWH is/has/some other attribute.

Remember,Christianity didn't start with gentiles. It was founded by The Jew over all jews,Yeshua HaMashiach. Christianity is a hebraic faith and the scriptures are entirely hebraic,so YHWH is The Name of The God of Israel. Orthodox jews for fear of blaspheming that name say HaShem which means The Name.
Yehovah is likely the name because prophet names start with Yeho, if YHWH is alluded to at the beginning of the name, like in Yehohanan, and end with yahu if it as at the end of the name, like Eliyahu.

You're right, however it wasn't really a scribal error. Raymundus Martini was translating from a manuscript which included vowels in the name of God. The vowels placed between each consonant were the vowels from the word for lord, adonai YaHoWaH. The first consonant became J through transliteration and the second could be pronounced w or v. It was transliterated as Jahovah. This was a faithful and acutate translation of the manuscript. Older manuscripts were discovered with different vowel markings making the word YaHWeH. The earliest manuscripts have no vowel markings. Scholars today agree that Yahweh is the most likely way of saying the name, but no one knows for sure. I think we should give Martini a little more credit. He was working with what he had. The majority of manuscripts had no vowel markings, so the discovery of one with vowels included would have been very exciting.
It also has to do with the fact Hebrew doesn’t use vowels but the English language does. YHWH (Yod Hay Vod Hay) can be translated Yehovah or Yahweh depending on how vowels and letter sounds are arranged.
Jehovah with a “j” sound was a Germanized pronunciation after the vowels were added to the Tetragrammaton. The etymology would sound like “yod-hay-vow-hay” in the Latinized form. Remember, there was no “j” sound in the Hebrew language. Yahweh is probably the most accurate for God the Father, and Yahawashi for the Son.
Where can I see the manuscriptural evidence for Yahweh ? According to the modern day Jewish..Hebrew Bible scholar..Dr Nehemia Gordon, he's yet to find one manuscript for Yahweh, in Hebrew scources. He claims that Yahweh comes from the Samaritans. Yehovah however , is in all of the earliest Hebrew manuscripts, with the full vowels. ....predating Raymundus Martini. Nehemia has the qualifications ...phd , from Israel University, and has access to the earliest manuscripts internationally within all the museums and libraries...including the Vatican archives, where, he's also found the Hebrew preserved name of Almighty God..Yehovah.
As a Muslim, you’re religion should prioritize core beliefs like prayer, forgiveness, and being humble and not minor, insignificant details of “what God’s name is”, we recognize God from his attributes, not a name of which we assign.
Uh we do. We understand the need to seek forgiveness and to forgive. The gospel of Matthew 5, 6, and 7 are the sermon on the mound. It highlights the beatitudes, the Lords prayer and much more. It's a good read. But knowing the why and how of things is what God also wants for us. It is important to know both the genealogy of people and the etymology of names because they have meaning. For example El = pertaining to god like how all the angels have "el" at the end of their names. And prophets will often have "el" in their names Daniel = God is my judge Eliyahu = My God is Yahweh. Yeshua or Yehoshua = Yahweh saves/rescues. It is good to know more then just what to do but the who and why.
@@surtofgods8265 To clear up any confusion, I imply by “your religion” as in the ideal priority for the respective religion you believe in. As for meaning of names to which we attribute to God, that isn’t a bad thing, it is in fact very beneficial to preserving the many attributes and key roles reserved for God and God only, I agree with that idea. In Islam it attributes 99 names to God. Some examples are: Rahman - The most Merciful Raheem - Bestower of Mercy Mu’min - The provider of Faith and security Muhaymin - The Guardian, the witness and the Overseer Al-Aleem - All-knowing and omniscient Hakam - The one Judge and giver of Justice The point I was emphasizing is that we shouldn’t argue over a declared, set in stone name for God. God can be attributed by many names which befit him and in the end comes down to features and attributes that define him.

The Tetragrammaton (YHVH) is the consonants of His name. The Hebrews cut the vowels to make the scribal process quicker. Actually we should say ‘YHWH’ remember the Third Commandment:
“You shall not bring the name of YAHUAH your Elohim to naught (nothing)”
Or in standard version:
“You shall not misuse my name!”
Saying YHWH is actually what gives us power, as well as YAHUAH (Heavenly Father) and YAHUSHA (Jesus Christ) God wants us to use His name, but not in vain!
I like your comments and attempts to get the names correct... I agree 100% that the names are almost if not the most important part.
However I believe the names are as follows:
The Father is YHWH (Yod-Hey-Waw-Hey) or YeHoWaH.

Definitely do not use the name Yahweh, which means Lord, which is the name of Ba'al, and is Satan worship.
There are also rabbi who suggest the name is without vowels
Know what the name becomes then?
YH- exhale
VH- inhale
It becomes the very breath we take
Which makes the most sense because what is more wonderful and beautiful than that?

YHWH are Hebrew aspiration sounds. YH is our inhale and WH is our exhale. Gods name is literally the breath in our lungs.
😂😂😂
This is true. Hebrew is not a phonetic language. So you can't assume pronunciation from the written word, and since that word didn't get any vowels, we (saying that as a Hebrew speaking Jew) don't know how it is supposed to be pronounced...
Insane
God breathed into the dust and man became a living soul.
Nobody knows the name of God, for no corrupt human has gained the right to even mention the name of the Holiest Eternally. Amen!
Also the first inhale of a baby might make the uh sound but then the “exhale” is actually a cry, and cries are not the sound of a normal exhale 😮💨…
Also does this theory apply when you sleep at night?
Yahuahs name points to the son
And Yahushas name points to the father.
The fathers name should never have been removed and the Saviors name should never have been changed. His name is forever (Exo. 3:15, Ps. 72:17)
Pronunciation of Yahuah
The “Yah” part is certain, since it is repeatedly recorded directly in the Old Testament (e.g. Psalm 68:4), both as its own “shortened version” of the name and as part of the whole name.
So where does the “HU” sound come from?
We find it in biblical names that contain the name of Elohim YAH, for example:
YeshaYahu (known in English as Isaiapjgh, which means “Yahuah has saved”)
YirmeYahu (from Jeremiah, which means “Yahuah will arise”)
MattihYahu (in Eng. Matthew, meaning “Yahuah’s gift”).
They are all pronounced “Yahu (Ya-hoo).”
Where is the AH part?
A translation conveys the meaning of a word or phrase into another language. His Name YHWH does not have the same meaning as the word Lord. His name means “I AM, I WAS, I WILL BE.” Lord is a title that means 'master.' It's not a name and therefore not a proper translation. Lord is used in place of יהוה (YHWH). They are substitutions, replacements - NOT simply an English version (or translation) of the Name.
Proper nouns - including names - are not translated. Names that are given to a specific individual are never translated changed to a different version. A name is a person's identity, and it does not change. Just look at the news. Reporters do not 'translate' foreign names no matter how difficult it is to pronounce.
Isaiah 52:5-6
“...My name is continually blasphemed all day long. Therefore my people shall know my name; therefore in that day I am the one who is speaking, ‘Here I am.’” The word blasphemed in the strongs concordance means to spurn or to REJECT. He prophesied that His name would be rejected all day long.
Exodus 3:15
“God, furthermore, said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘Yahuah, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is MY NAME FOREVER, and this is My memorial-name to ALL GENERATIONS.”

I’d like to graciously add, when adding the vowels to YHWH, in aramaic, Y would be Yah, H would be Hu or Ho, together it would be Yaho “salvation” (Yahu). W would be as in Waw, like “water”followed by H which means it would be WaH. Together YHWH would be pronounced Yahowah (Yahuwah). The pronunciation, Yahweh was first used in the Greek translations and to St. Clement of Alexandria in the 2nd century. From the Greek, the name Yehovah was translated from a German pronunciation which became Jehovah in the English spelling. 👏 I just wanted to point out the Aramaic, just as in English we get Jesus, which stems from the Greek, Iesous, which in the Aramaic, his name was Yeshua.

To be more precise, the real pronouncement of the tetragrammatron was lost, and the closest we ever been to it is Yahweh. Pre-exilic Hebrew was different than Second Temple Hebrew. It’s still mean “I Am” but when STH was forming, returning Jews brought over linguistic influences from Assyria, Babylon, and Persia.
And in the Second Temple Era, the tetragrammatron was ceased to be said because it was too sacred and so Adonai was put in place for it. Later on Hashem would replace Adonai after it too became sacred, some time after the destruction of the second temple.

For example
El = pertaining to god like how all the angels have "el" at the end of their names. And prophets will often have "el" in their names
Daniel = God is my judge
Eliyahu = My God is Yahweh.
Yeshua or Yehoshua = Yahweh saves/rescues.
It is good to know more then just what to do but the who and why.
You make people learn Arabic just to read the Quran. You say Allah instead of God even though that is just the Arabic word for God.
Some examples are:
Rahman - The most Merciful
Raheem - Bestower of Mercy
Mu’min - The provider of Faith and security
Muhaymin - The Guardian, the witness and the Overseer
Al-Aleem - All-knowing and omniscient
Hakam - The one Judge and giver of Justice
The point I was emphasizing is that we shouldn’t argue over a declared, set in stone name for God. God can be attributed by many names which befit him and in the end comes down to features and attributes that define him.
Well Allah is the best of all decievers and it was he who mislead Satan and Adam into sin
Sure and Islam focuses on humility 💀
