Personally, I remember the second level music more than the first level... and that's probably due to the free demo on magazine disks at the time! Anyway, it's Chris Huelsbeck. It's always going to be awesome!

It's funny looking at the not-aliens levels today, amazing what they were able to get away with back in the day. Today Fox lawyers would be on them in like 5 minutes ;) Fun game, I remember playing it on my amiga 600/1200 back in the day... of course I was never able to finish it - you are very good at this man, I don't remember ever seeing you die in these videos! Respect!
Fun fact: In stage 1-2 there is another hidden gold armour power up. If you collect it, and also the one in stage 2-1 you unlock a super jump. Which makes the rope completely redundant. You're welcome.
I appreciate this game today. More than yesterday. Maybe i only saw the first 2.. anyhow I find he's done great improvements and i think it became the game he/they wanted to make. It's impressive and a stellar game! Quality approved.
After the tunes of the first two games, I don’t think that opening theme could be any more perfect. Absolute chills when the Turrican 3 logo shows up. Chris Hulsbeck is the man. This one gets a bit knocked for having the Megadrive be developed primarily for the Megadrive and it shows a bit but it’s still great. I like all the Turrican games tbh.
Ahh, _Turrican 3_ or as I know it, _Mega Turrican_ . Interesting series of games. It was my curiosity of the Amiga because of this series that I found this channel, and from there, all the wonderful games of the Amiga and Chris Hülsbeck's amazing music. This _may or may not_ have eventually led me to purchase some of his music from Bandcamp. ;)
Mega Turrican is already recorded and will feature some time in the future - the soundtrack is also extremely good. Some of the clearest drum samples I think I've heard on the system :)
Hot take but I do believe this port of the Genesis original plays better due to the reduced sprite flicker, tearing and pop-up that makes discerning enemies and projectiles generally less frustrating, and the better balancing of the weapons you can choose from in which the rebound shot doesn't completely break the game
@Hereospawn-ut7fv I don't believe it because for years, Mega Turrican is always cluttered with many *many* sprites and it causes obscene sprite tearing that makes objects disappear momentarily
The Mega Drive port definitely blows this way in every aspect, including having scaling and rotation effects on sprites (there are some convincing effects in Amiga, but some are pretty obvious that they’re pre-rendered sprites)
Maybe I am biased because I grew up with Turrican 2, one of the best games on amiga, but this is not as good as T2, and music seems to be rehashed from T2 too at times. Still great.
My least favorite of the Amiga trilogy. The main sprite didn't look nor move as smooth as the original, many levels felt too linear, graphics weren't as slick as the second episode, and the grapple wasn't as fun as the gyro laser. Still a good game though.
It's all about the soundtrack with this game. Especially the first level.
Totaly agree with you :)

Why does the thumbnail have Stryfe from X-Men?

Ahhh, but, playing off the Turrican collection, the Genesis port is without the flicker!👍

Huh funny, I was just speedrunning this game an hour ago.

true, I say (as an ex amiga owner) that the Megadrive/Genesis has much more powerful background and sprites hardware and more colours per plane

Amazing grafics for an Amiga
to the page owners: what's the sense of scaling 320x256 games to QHD?
Because it looks clearer and sharper
Versione AMIGA buona, gioco eccellente, nonostante si dica in giro che turrican 3 non sia all'altezza dei primi 2
A great game with great music but way too easy to finish compared to the previous games.

it's a good game but it misses some magic, some playability, atmosphere which were present in T1 and T2
the least appealing out of the 3 Turrican games, too linear
