Friend picked one up for 78K that is a 2015...it's a blast to drive. No car is worth buying new at 120k unless you net 500k a year

William Ji they are hot sellers in wintry areas, the xdrive is good in snow.
Man do I love these things. If you stand beside it on a cold start you can almost feel how heavy this thing breathes
The preset buttons 1-8 can be programmed to anything, from a destination in the GPS to a phone number or whatever else you want. If you put your finger on the button it should preview what it’s set for

120K...? Hmmm. Not in my budget so I don't have to concern myself, but I think a first gen X6M has nicer lines and looks more muscular (the refresh looks somehow less aggressive) and would certainly be a better value as far as bang for the buck goes. And while I understand these are pretty much useless as far as space and utility, I can't help but love the looks of the X6M going down the road on those huge steam rolling tires. I could certainly see this appealing to Dual Income No Kids or empty nesters looking for a personal, premium SUV (or SAC as BMW calls it) type of vehicle.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I'd definitely go for the RS5 Sportback over this. Feels much lighter and handles better. Plus it's much cheaper too.

I just don’t get why you’d get this over the new m5. The new m5 is unreal, and come with awd now. Practicality wise, they’re not much different. This is just slower.

If you want a “sports car”, but are 6’3” (1,90cm) and over, but you don’t want an “SUV”, the X6 should be on your test drive list. - Happy X6 50i xDrive owner

I don’t know why you’d buy this. New X6 is coming in a year or two. You can find M5s with the same platform for $50k

M5 and X6M are 2 different platforms. M5 only shares an Engine.. everything else wouldn’t be found on this

a lot people. enough for Mercedes to copy them and get a second gen. I much would prefer a gle63s due to the crackles and it feels much faster than the x6m however its soooo dated inside it makes me vomit.

Imagine this same car is worth £40K on Autotrader with over 4K Miles done, i would never buy a brand new car just try find one with the best spec and features you want a few years later, the car still looks great even in 2020. So the new shape and styling of the X6M 2020 will be worth a fraction in 2/3 years. But am I correct to say you can't get Adaptive Cruise Control on the X6M cause the button for that is where the M1/M2 buttons are on the wheel on those older models not the new red buttons.

If I'm spending anywhere in that neighborhood for an SUV it'll be the Trackhawk Grand Cherokee with 707HP onboard. Figure why not tool around with the groceries then run the 1/4 mile in the 11's afterwards. For this BMW....uhm...hell no!

JamCave Studio Put the X5 M and Trackhawk on an actual track and see what happens. Around corners, the Jeep can't compare. Not to mention German quality and comfort.
Lol 99% of people who buy an X5/6 M aren’t going to track it since it’s a SUV. I’d rather have a Trackhawk for the better sounding V8 and much lower production numbers than the BMW. And this is coming from someone who has a BMW M2, I hate BMW SUV’s.

No signs of a New X6M. There hasn’t been a prototype around there should of been a prototype spotted 2 years ago it looks like BMW is a bit disappointed so maybe discontinue the car.

I understand when someone losses 5-7 grand on depreciation of a car. But when you are taking 50-60 grand depreciation over 2 years on one of these. Thats insane! House downpayment
They have a 2018 with 12k miles near me for 63k.Well worth it if you are in the 65k to 80k range in funds.I looked at an X5m--but decided to buy a stinger GT AWD 2020--with a 10 year warranty--and I own it outright.This BMW is fantastic--but is expensive to maintain.I am upper middle class and it is out of my price range unless it is used--but the BMW warranty is short for something this hi tech.I mean if my next business venture takes off--I might rethink, but even then would not get this new--they depreciate like a rock.I could have bought one because I had a trade--but would have blown my whole budget for a car.I have 30k plus in the bank--own a car almost as fast--and do not have to worry about maintenence issues.All I wanted was a nice affordable AWD very fast car for 50k our under--had a trade worth 19k--so I could have bought anything under 69k. It took me a week--had a few cars for a day--including the X5M--the x6 brother--gas mileage was atrocious 12 mpg in just normal driving--and BM made me uneasy when I asked about if the turbos and other hi tech parts were covered--there response was to buy another 3k plus warranty--I could not afford a new one--and even with an extra warranty--it was not close to the stingers 10 year warranty.The 4.4 TT is known as much for performance as it is for maintenence.I got on the forums of the bimmer and stinger--and there were just a lot of expensive complaints and reliability issues.Stinger had very few and folks said dealerships did not BS on warranty work.Plus I like to have 10k in a car account for any major repairs--I would have had less then k in the bank with the BImmer--I have almost 35k in the bank for my car--already did an exhaust and can afford light mods on my stinger.BMW is a great car--but you need to have a lot of moollahh--prob at least 80k for a used one--to sleep well at nightI can not fathom people that finance and the BMW salesperson looked at me like I was from mars when i said if I was going to buy one that i would outright buy and not finance--the gas alone is prob triple what it would cost my stinger or any other car--it also has to have premium--so does my stinger--but I am at 22mpg and i speed in my stinger.

Never really got into these crossover vehicles. My GTI is roomier with more trunk storage. I'd rather the X5.

my main complaint with these, and similar mercedes SUV's are how fugly they are. They're like lifted sedans with lower body kits to hide the gap. just weird as hell looking.
I personally have never liked the way the X6 or X6M have looked. I would go X5/X5M all day. If I want SUV, X5 or even X3, if I want sedan, give me M3 Competition Package.
Leave it to BMW from making one of the best sounding V8s to one of the worst
The new F90 M5 sounds alright though. They updated it to sound a lot better than this even with a similar engine.
That's the problem, it's just meh. Its competitors sound so much nicer.

gtb5 BMW leather quality. Poor, terrible feel, lackluster appearance. Sad. Probably the worst leather in any car and trust me I've been in many, many cars.

shadow_m3 I know, but if you're going to buy something of that price then at least purchase something with more taste for the same ideal or something that's actually reasonable. The 2018 Range Rover with all the specs is up in the 90k range and base price is just below 50k. Way more attractive car.

I sold my 2010 x6m for 29k a few month ago. Maintenance was up to date, pretty mint with 80k on it. Got that very easily within a few days.

Because people want something that can haul ass carry your crap and not be made cheaply like japanese and especially american cars. Reliability is questionable, people give them crap, however none of the post 2010 m models have any major problems reported

i just got a brand new family car renault 2018 with sport mode and everything and i swear the interior of my car looks much more luxurious than this crap here i wouldnt even pay 30k for this piece of plastic

I don’t understand the market for this car. It’s not as practical as the x5m but much heavier and not as sporty as an actual m sedan... what is the difference between this and an m5 which is more practical and looks way better since it doesn’t have that ugly ass slope in the back

You should realize that value isn’t measured strictly in terms of that of the car, but also the price you put on your own enjoyment of the car. That’s why people pay for these kind of cars. No one considers a bloated “M” SUV to be an investment, and not every purchase is supposed to be an investment.

Lol. As long as you don't mind the idea of throwing about $150,000 in the trash. If you're the first owner and buy it new, it's $120,000 upfront, and I'm guessing your point is that you'll keep it forever, and never have to experience depreciation. That's fine, but they're extremely unreliable, so after 100k miles you'll have all kinds of motor and electrical issues that aren't covered under warranty, so that's another $30,000 over the next 8 years. Have fun with that. By then, the car will be worth $2,500.
