- This video explains red blood cell indices, which are used to determine different types of anemia. Lab tests include complete blood count (CBC), red blood cells (RBC), Hemoglobin/Hematocrit (H/H), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), red cell distribution width (RDW), iron, total iron binding capacity (TIBC), ferritin, B12, and folate.

Can Hemoglobin and Hematocrit be in normal range and Wbc and Rbc high with low MCH and Low mchc in someone with shortness of breath and fatigue still be anemia?
MCH and MCHC can be low with a normal RBC count (WBCs are different types of cells and won't affect any RBC values). Check out my other videos where I explain the different RBC Indices: ruclips.net/video/bc9dSmALeNE/видео.html
