Watched this video quite by accident but so glad i did. Im about your age with many of the same things in common. However no family left and very few friends. I have an upcoming aeortic valve replacement and triple bypass surgery coming I thought my days of outdoors, fishing, woodworking and general quality of life were over for sure. I couldnt have caught this little vid at a better time. It lifted my spirits and gave me hope. Made me feel not so alone and a lot less scared of whats coming. Thanks Doug.. Im gonna beat this thing. I can't tell you how happy this one make me. Not only is the carving fantastic, but it brings back childhood memories of making tiny boats out of twigs or cardboard and racing them down the creek.

I thought Matty Mouse was gonna pull up beside you in his little motor boat. Matty was the coolest cause he had a motor boat even though most people think GP's jeep was pretty rad. canoe is roughly 8x2 and about 1 1/2 high and little Doug is 2 inches above canoe so true height depends how far you put him into the canoe
