This came out right after I was kicked out of the house....I could kinda relate....vocals are so gut wrenching....straight from a wounded soul....the whole album is filled with one's life experiences of this world and its hope beauty but often times cruel merciless reality🎼🙏🎼🙏🎼
One of the many things I loved about John Lennon was he was unafraid of baring his heart and soul to the world. He literally did not care if others thought about him or his messages. He often expressed pain and sorrow in his songs but more so, what he mostly shared with the world was his love. He was a gift to us all and I've always felt blessed that he was part of my generation.
Every song on his first solo effort lp PlasticOnoBand is wonderful!
The album came out after intensive psychotherapy that stresses emotion, and you can feel it on this song about his absent parents...

Not exactly an entertainment album. His vocals were among his best ever. A classic LP in its' own genre.
I liked the British black musicians and also got LPs of Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson. I'd say 10 albums at most, rest was my family and this I played a lot in the 70s... I remember loving Mind Games. All the best
Christina Aguilera does this song. She doesn't hit those higher notes.
