This motivated me so much that I went into my garage, loaded 200kg....and then realized I couldn’t even unrack it.

Me: “oh, 270 pounds isn’t that bad.”

310x2,5 its insane for his bodyweight, he is a weightlifter but can over squat almost any powerlifter

@@HalfAryanHunterGatherer I think he has a belt for the 310 double (hard to see but his top tapers around his waist, where a belt would be). But super impressive regardless.
And if there is one, it'd be less heavy-duty belt unlike the big leather ones PLs use.

being a weightlifter too.. I think what he is missing as far as in competition he doesn't goes heavy in practicing shoulder presses and heavy jerks.. Then he will be unstoppable in his weight category.. He has amazing squat strength so he clean easy like piece of cake.. But he failed to deliver in jerk.. That's what i feel.. He couldn't made up to medal tally..

Why is he doing such high rep squatting? This is bodybuilding training which which leads to hypertrophy of all muscle fibers which is not what weightlifters want.

    • @snakepham

You didn't answer the question. Why do 10 rep and 20 rep sets? That is not conventional weightlifting training. He should be at 80% or more of his 1RM.

You're a Chinese-supremacist (obviously) and a very arrogant person. No, I'm not joking. Are you? I know that high-rep sets of squats are not recommended for a weightlifter. Give me one book that recommends it.
Again, weightlifters are not bodybuilders. I do not question the results of the (doped-up) Chinese weightlifters but they're engaging in bodybuilding training.
So, is this the new ideal way for weightlifters to train?
