I think the passive thing explanation is the following : magic dmg from the passive is prioritized on the regular physical dmg from the auto attack ,,, and that magic dmg doesn't apply on hit because it kinda is treated like an ability ,, so if the magic dmg from the passive IS ENOUGH to kill the target it won't apply tiamat,,,but if it isn't and the auto regular dmg will be added it will apply tiamatl,,,not sure but I think that's it duo to noticing the different cases in this vid
passive has been physical since patch from a few months

magic or physical it doesnt matter, yes it prioritizes passive on the auto itself so passive is an ability. last season titanic wouldnt apply and ravenous would because titanic isnt on abilities while ravenous is, hope everybody gets it now

I honestly prefer Fleet Footwork Cyclosword+Sundered Sky+Visage+Shojin/Sterak over Profane into full lethality for Aatrox nowadays. Amazing sustain and mobility, Cyclosword helps slow a target down to guarantee Q and W lands (similar utility to Iceborn but damage), very effective against Ranged Tops that won't burst you w/ physical damage. Never lost a game on Aatrox since I switched to this build (helped me rally an account from Silver1 to Gold2 within 1 weekend).
profane is especially good when you go full lethality items which most aatrox in kr master or above do
its fun but insanely risky and harder to carry with unless you shitstomp early
Profane into full Lethality build seems to work only in the highest echelons where the players are already somewhat familiar w/ each other and can coordinate map movements (best example is pro play). Sundered Sky+Shojin+Sterak/Eclipse+Visage still probably ends up more consistent in SoloQ environment w/ its self-suffficiency.
@@myrkull dunno i feel like the build scales way better than the full bruiser because you can build serylda effectively with it and you do so much more dmg. I prefer dirk>profane>sundered>serylda>edge of night

I've been thinking about Profane first buy over Sundered sky ever since Hashinshin brought it up, I can't seem to make it work though its probably because it only works if you're very efficient in hitting Q sweet spots and im quite the amateur when trying to hit them
Naayil, i think i got a clue on how the hydra bug works. When your passive auto is going to kill the unit with the passive damage by itself, it only counts that, you can even see that only the magic damage appears, so the "auto attack" technically doesn't happen, so the on hit effects don't happen either.
You should max the conqueror before using the hydra active it deals huge damage with conqueror + ult

Nah bro, going profane hydra because it's really is just an extra Q that you can proc pretty damn fast, and it's scale a lot better than the other hydra, and with Aatrox ultimate, it's down right insane the kind of damage you can spam with little cooldown, it's just more risky to build it because the build path doesnt really benefit Aatrox that much beside damage (which build normal bruiser at this time will have enough damage regardless) the goal here is to get the full item so you can proc the hydra and that damage is super good, take a look at 9:13 when gragas and Belveth go on him, you can see he proc the hydra mid combo and that kinda burst will be extremely op later on

@@fatwalrus9599Yeah, but Korean meta has always been hyper aggressive with faster games, so it's easier to itemize full lethality. A build like that could work mid in NA or EU, but you'd get blown up without a proper team comp going top with it if a game goes late.
@@YoshiLupus but profane hydra with bruiser items just seem unoptimized, which is why I mentioned the korean/chinese builds in the first place. If he wanted to try out profane he could’ve tried it out with how the koreans do it. If he was gonna go for sundered 2nd and shojin 3rd he could’ve just did his normal build which surprised me since I thought he was trying out builds on his diamond account.
@@fatwalrus9599 I agree. He def doesn't get the most out of the item with so little lethality, but he prob just doesn't know that since he never itemizes it.
The passive bug isnt really a bug (dont get me wrong it shouldnt work like that) But the way it works is passive damage hits BEFORE the auto, meaning if your auto kills somthing with passive damage (look at numbers only ap dmg is displayed when it "bugs") theres no "auto" only passive hit meaning it doesnt apply on hits.
I think riven is the only champ rushing/using ravenous hydra consistently no?

Naayil probably forgot to use it as he is not used to it, also waiting for the enemy to get below 50% hp is ideal, but if you know they wont be below 50% then use it for bonus dmg and conq stacks
By watching your video I do think profane hydra is useful in some situation, you forgot to use it many times. I think its active is literally an execution. Sometimes it's really embarrassing the q3 is finished while passive still on cooldown. Now you have hydra active, sundered sky critical hit, and passive, aatrox can get a lot more flexibility with not only his q now, it gives aatrox morse damage and an execution, much better than going for lethality in this season

Naayil, if you build the right build it will be really strong. Profane Hydra, Edge Of Night, Serylda Grudge, Shojin, Maw of Malmortius. Zues T1 uses this build and I uses it too. You just need to get to Serylda it is already strong. Watch game 2 DK vs T1 Zues uses aatrox, that same build and heal a ton. Watch this, skip to 3 minute 6 seconds. He heal a ton that he doesn't even loses any hp also watch at 4 minute 59 seconds.

Profane hydra is inferior compared to his bruiser build. It makes you a glass cannon and require alot of ur team to actually be good aka T1 and Zeus. The bruiser build is just alot better in soloQ. I mirror matchup an aatrox before me as profane hydra and him as sunderer sky. I beat him 3 0 early game thru mechanics but eventually lost to him afterwards

Hydra just isn't a good first item. Build it as 3rd or 4th item, and always build Ravenous. The lifesteal it provides along with damage is just better than profane, imo
It's actually pretty good as a first item since it gives lethality and the active damage is pretty decent. Especially if you invest into a lethality build with seryldas.
You dont actually auto that much on aatrox why are you even buying lifesteal on him. One of the biggest thing it does as well is that it gives you wave clear, especially for an all out dmg item like profane and ravenous. Buying it late is a super luxurious and waste of money, especially ravenous cause its stats got gutted, it doesnt even give the most ad in the game anymore
Dude what? It synergizes really well with sundered sky and increases the amount of healing you get from it. Also, it's per champion CD, so late game you can literally live in teamfights by just right clicking people while at the same time doing tremendous damage.@@tranducquang5912

Am I the only one thinking tanks rn are absurdly broken? I feel new cleaver is absolutely terrible, I went against a 6k hp with 250 armor and I could crit 20 Qs that it wouldn’t even scratch the bitxh, it might be kinda op for aatrox to play against immobile squishies but atm new anti tank items are just garbage

dont listen to these animals telling you to go edge of night and seryldas, go profane into youmuus then opportunity. can build edge of night first or second if against a cringe matchup. always get profane youmuus and opportunity. i like going for eclipse after, shit ton of damage, shojin is also good later on, can go sundered sky sometimes.
