All those lings/bane/lurkers floods were pretty scary, as you said, most people would've crumbled or go straight for one final counter-attack, do or die. Insane performance from Milkicow
It seems the good late game terrans know how to properly utilize their high hp buildings as damage sponges, choke sim cities and screwing with enemy a-move and targeting? I’m surprised that there weren’t nydus worms in this game.
Yeah zerg gets the emp upgrade. I do think that emping groups of infestors is important enough to justify the upgrade, but you make a good point that snipe is much more common and the upgrade might help zerg more. I think that neural is pretty unlikely to happen as long as you've got the turret/tank/liberator setup. It definitely can come up in more scrappy situations where you're trying to push a base or you've lost your defensive setup after a few attacks, so it's a tough call.
Thanks for a great upload! It really does increase my appreciation for anyone who survives at least a few onslaughts brought on by Reynor. It got so chaotic.
This is how terran is played! I love seeing terrains use pfs as fob's to leapfrog into the zerg luring in an aggressive player into a wall of tanks, ghosts, bio, and the big boss pfs
we learn that you wanna build PF's on top of the ramps, and put siege tanks behind them, expand fast like the Zerg does and build wall off with supply depot's on the low ground , and make sure you stop the creep from expanding with hellions and banshees. and a few widow mines behind near the siege tanks can stop a Zerg counter attack. battlecruisers are useless and stick to marina marauder ghosts medivac tank and liberators for your main army,
Those PFs in the choke points were just amazing, practically removed the ling surface area and blasted them to bits. The early game banshee use was great, liberator use was amazing. Best part is that at no point did reynor make any "super blunders" like losing 20 drones to hellions or widow mines, he just bled him out. Upgrade advantage, great CC count and planetary placement, great control of creep, good siege tank placement, nice baneling targeting, and of course being so hyper-active with his marines that he exhausted all their medivac energy. Kept banshees alive, random liberator harass, good army composition, good army placement/splits. Just overall a good looking defensive Terran game. Really my biggest criticisms that I can see is that he was somewhat late on his mech upgrades and on his building armor upgrade. Liberator upgrades just kinda useless in this game. They already 1 shot lings and banes and cannot do any better than 3 shotting a lurker.
in my opinion, reynor had one or two good opportunities where he could ling flood into the main and deny some productions when milki's main army defending the top right base. I wonder what are the reasons he didn't commit?
Man that run is super impressive, that's honestly a great run for any player, there'd even be a decent chance Serral could lose against players like ShoWtime and Reynor. Is this the year of Milkicow :o
He played really well, maybe reynor was a bit more aggressive than he should have been because he thought his opponent would fall apart? He was always doing the siege tanks in good splits, and splitting his units and making reynor deal w/ annoying libs. He played great, scanning ahead too, sending small amound of marine maurauder in the front. Honestly i wish i could play like that hahaha im a f2 a move type of terran and complain about balance aftwards xD
@@uThermal Yeah but he builds units while he deals with things, i dont deal with things properly, and i dont make the units while im dying hahahhahaha There are many more problems than my f2. LOL
Great game! Kept the pressure up, kept expanding his economy and yeh, the mind games are great. Also holes in Reynors game not getting any anti air, vipers and investors till too late.
Such an underated comment, almost everyone gets scared when going up against Serral. But there are alot of koreans that are considered "below" his level that still takes him out. On top of my mind is Zest & herO recently, they played with confidence like you mentioned. This game however is a greater example becasue the skill difference is bigger. And respect to milkiCow for this performance!
I've recently been getting recommendations from this channel and I always thought it was weird since he basically gives away the outcome of the game in the video title every time. So I wanted to open one and ask you - is this like an educational channel or do people really not mind that they know how the game will end in advance
I do both educational and fun content, this video is part of POV analysis where I basically analyse Terran games where they did something fantastic (and so the Terran usually wins anyway, pretty rare for me to analyse a Terran loss)
@@uThermal Ah, gotcha, thanks. I don't play sc2 anymore, only GSL for fun. But back when I was trying to learn, this is the exact type of video I'd find most useful!
In this type of late game scenario, when the zerg is flooding lings/banes/lurkers and then quickly techs switches to broodlords and goes for a push, how does a terran effectively defend against that? I know ghosts can snipe the broodlords but its not very easy. Should the Terran quickly make a bunch of thors as well?
if zerg has enough eco to throw away a whole army and then remax on broodlords, terran should have an army strong enough to kill the first army without losing too many units and then can remax on units that counter the broods like thors or vikings or ghost
Tournament organisers usually release replay packs, for DreamHacks/IEMs you can usually find them on the ESLSC2 twitter and for Wardi's tournaments you get them for being a wardi twitch sub. A lot of these however are replays I ask from the players personally ^^
Yo uThermal - you know what would be awesome? and maybe fuse 2 communities together? You play the bongcloud against Harstem, and he has to play some variaton of BGWSS ... maybe there will be some exchanger of fans! BR Mike
Wow those Banshees stayed alive for so long. Why don't more Terrans try keeping their banshees around or build a few for defense? I certainly don't think one could argue that they're too inefficient!
just curious: if the zerg neurals an scv and goes terran to get the emp upgrade, will it work on neuraled ghosts too? my guess is no and that it just works on the own ghosts but no idea xD
Honestly that was an amazing game to watch against a world class zerg. I suck so hard as terran, it's my worst race lol. Zerg is my best, then protoss, and then terran lol.
I'd expect nothing less than top-tier play from a man named milkicow
my thoughts exactly
I love how he forfeits the natural and the third and takes a central position. And the natural becomes a (natural)trap for reynor's army.
Those 2 red hp banshes went down at 17.52.
That is some serious value.
All those lings/bane/lurkers floods were pretty scary, as you said, most people would've crumbled or go straight for one final counter-attack, do or die.
Insane performance from Milkicow
In these sorts of late games, would it be wise to use maybe use 3-4 blue flame hellbats to 1shot the lings that flood in?
Yep! Pretty sure I've seen Maru use that and I've tried it too. Really good mineral dump for the lategame honestly ^^

1st time watching your solo cast. Very fun and informative. Thanks for this. Thank the algorithm gods for showing me this video.
Welcome ^^

Hi just wanted to ask if it's possible to move the camera slower? Fast sliding moves are a bit disorientating.

They are also quite trapped if terran lifts the supply

How did he target down all the banelings at 8:53? Was it a rapid fire atk command on a hotkey or something? Those were definitely marine kills, no?
Usually terrans just shift a click or shift right click ( if youre insane like me ) the banes ^^

wait is he picking up from the minimap or from control groups ? how ? 11:35
Impossible to know, as we don't get to see what he has selected.
i feel like a neuraled ghost would get the enhanced showwaves because its the ghost who gets the upgrade

If they have any corruptors or muta they entirely fall off
Love it! Keep rockn the ultimate content!
try to keep the camera slower or at least hold the spot where you move for a full second. have a hard time following. Good analysis though!
biggest thing I have learned is that lurkers, as imba as they are, aren't late game units. Lurkers stomp on everything how are they not late game?
Logically speaking, it makes sense to me for zerg to get the EMP upgrade if Terran has it.

an unexpected result or situation.

This is common. You'd almost never see Zerg upset Protos Terran
someone like milkicow beating someone like Reynor is common?
Good to see more terrans on the spotlight
I'm 100% convinced there's doping involved here with milkicow...

i don't see some thing upset in this game: The king is dead, long live the king!

Thermy, you should be more honest...
to be honest im pretty honest tbh
Don't use someone's POV. It's too fast and nauseating. Just comment on what's going on.
personally, i enjoy the POV. however, if you prefer more traditional commentary and observing, i think pig just uploaded a cast of this game
This guy wants his viewers to vomit. You jump too much around the map. Horrible viewing experience
You have to be a true genius to complain about watching someone's POV in a POV Analysis video lmao
bad camera movement
