This chap is a musical wizard, and I also heard him singing a lovely rendition of The Mountains Of Pomeroy. I applaud the great work of TG4 for helping the natives to recognise that Irish music is a match for anything in the rest of the civilised world. Ta an Gaeilge ana lag agam , agus ta an spelling nios measa.
I love to,see these enthusiastic young people really into, the music fills my heart with joy to see them
This young genius has breathed new life into old tunes and made them exciting to listen to He is as much to the accordion as the great Michael Coleman was to the fiddle Now thats saying something
He is no way near being a genius.
He has a really generic trashy box playing style and he is severely overrated.
You want to hear a young genius listen to Ademar O'Connor he is a way better box player than Conor.
Oliver Diviney, Chris Maguire, Nuala Hehir to name a few are far more underrated and better than Conor also.
This great attacking style yet he doesnt thrash the tune What a genius
There’s nothing “genius” about mediocrity, Gabriel.
He's just trying to be Joe Cooley
@@bigjohnnymcbride7237 Is he mediocre Big Johnny? How so?
The first reel Drowsy Maggie was popularised by Donegal fiddler Johnny Doherty The second reel Sailor on The Rock was recorded in the 20s and 30s by the great Sligo fiddler Michael Coleman and by the Leitrim flute player John McKenna both in New York
Love this guy!! Mighty! Go on Conor!!!
Extraordinary playing - really some of the best I have ever heard
How joyous! My father-in-law was a player. I’m so glad that we recorded him before his death. It’s suck a meaningful moment for the family and future generations!
This is the best thing I’ve ever heard
Wonderful to hear. Go raibh maith agat!
Brilliant style, great playing.
Fabulous musician rousing music
Simply amazing
Class playing, lifting dance music!!!
Another young Irish two-row virtuoso with inspiring technique and interpretation. I'm begging to think Thatcher was wrong: there is such a thing as society. Irish Trad now a living tradition, as good as or better than ever.
How does thatcher have anything to do with this

Not an expert but I detect Tony McMahon and Joe Cooley influence here..how can he be so good and he so young ?
It's interesting that you noticed that. Here is an interview with Conor where he mentions that both those box players would have influenced him. ruclips.net/video/gApg3ZEH_uE/видео.html
Magic

Good man connor from Brian Cavanagh Loughrea Co Galway
Good man Connor from Brian Cavanagh from Loughrea Co Galway
I have a new religion and it’s this.
What a great musician and an incredible set, awesome dynamics! Anyone know the names of those tunes?
Pretty sure that first one is called "The Morning Dew" here it's played by Tony MacMahon - one of Conor's influences etc (hope you can watch it as I don't think it is watchable outside of the States when it is on the topic profile under a certain artist etc): ruclips.net/video/p7DkmSsEFo8/видео.html
The first one is "the master's drowsy Maggie". Play in F.
MrBollox79 that’s it, thanks!
"the morning dew" is the name of the suite and one of the tune he play, but the name of this first tune is "master's drowsy maggie"
the morning dew thesession.org/tunes/69
the master's drowsy maggie thesession.org/tunes/27 sheet music n°'' 4, 6,

Your man looks like Kieran Tierney, Scotland international and former Celtic, now Arsenal player!
is trua gur bhain sé cuid den dlaoi de féin ó shin
tarraingt súl AGUS tarraingt cluas!!
Go íontach ar fad !
Wow! Also, that looks like an Erica, but maybe with better reeds and action?
It's a Corso. Dunno what reeds though
I realize now the Erica has a black wooden keyboard. And yeah these reeds are much better!
Got to question that set design. Seems more suited to a black metal band (the furrowed brows, withered trees, the corpse paint) than a traditional performance... why so negative, if not downright utter darkness? Must have been a subtle downer for the crowd.
Fantastic performance, though!
