Exactly the kind of video that I needed to improve my channel! I, like you, don't need or want all the bells and whistles for my vlogs. I just need the right camera to share the fun and the joy that I have while riding my Spyder. Thanks Chris.
Thanks for sharing this. I have always wondered how this is done. I always assumed that it was a lot of work, which is why I appreciate your videos. I hope that you don't spend any time with the keyboard warriors with the negative comments. I think your videos are done very well.
Thanks again for an insightful video! I don't vlog, but I do record my rides from time to time. I used to have a GoPro (gave it and all my kit stuff to my niece who IS a vlogger!) but I swapped it out for the Insta360 X3. I LOVE that camera, and my videos are here at RUclips. The 360 degree view means no need to fret about camera placement and angle, and I can see the blinking recording light easily. I also bought a 1 TB microSD card and two backup batteries. The batteries reside in a recharger that is connected to a USB C cable plugged into my rear RT Limited trunk's port - this way as I wind down a battery, I can stop and swap! I also have a mount that is on my dash, but I'm planning on getting a selfie stick to mount on the rear passenger arm. Finally, the Insta360 does NOT have built-in GPS (a battery burner) so I bought their wearable GPS device (it's on my wrist like a watch) that not only pairs with the camera, but acts as a remote power on and record button!
BTW, I use DaVinci Resolve (free version) to edit on my PC. I used to use Clipchamp, but it used up so much disk space on my computer via temporary files it didn't dump after use. @@SpyderChrisYT
Thanks very helpful , if you find how to use your helmet microphone I sure would like to know. I have a 2019 RT and live in Idaho and also wanting to start my own channel, Thank you!!
I believe there are some helmet intercoms that will work with a camera, but not mine. Yours may. Try Googling with your model helmet intercoms and camera models.
I am thinking of video logging my spyder travels. By watching these videos might want to do you tube videos myself. My helmet has a cardo pactalk edge, that was my next question do I need seperate mic.
Hello Chris. My wife and I have been Following, Liking and watching your videos since you started up. We purchased our 2020 Spyder RT Limited Chrome about the same time as you purchased your Spyder. You have an excellent Channel-very watchable. This video was especially useful as I've just started up a Channel of my own from here in the Midwest. If you have time, maybe you could take a look, and even Subscribe, etc. I'm Spyder Rider Kev I'd appreciate any suggestions you could offer for building my Channel. Thanks, and keep up the great videos. Kev
Ren on RUclips has a ton of video and music that is not copyrighted. He allows use by everyone. Ren is really good 1st time I’ll ever recommend Rap as background music but Ren is not like most rappers. Don’t rap/sing about whores Drugs and the like. You could use Ren for background music. He’s has over 200 uploads!!!

I’m so glad you found this helpful. I often think about adding another camera but the complexity frightens me.

I’m seriously considering adding an X3 (cheaper now than the X4). Will shoot a video on the subject shortly.

Thanks for posting I learned a lot on the in and outs of making a good quality video.
I’m glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching!
I good insight into Moto Volging, thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Very interesting as always.
Thank you!
Well I bought two xbox mics for the gopro and they work great, as they stretch just enough to get into the helmet and provide good audio
I’m not versed in X Box so I’ll have to do some Googling. I’m glad it works for you. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the info
Thanks for watching!
Oh, I thought this was an evaluation of the Can Spyder.
That was my only interest.😊
I have countless videos evaluating the Spyder. Check out my video lineup.

I’m not sure if your Cardo will work. Try Googling the topic. I know my Sena won’t work.
Appreciate it
Just google and my cardo states I could use my comm system for motovlogging without cables or microphone adaptor, only thing is sound quality.
@ that’s great. Try it and if quality isn’t to your liking you can always add an external mic later.
Do you use a modular or full face helmet?
