Very impressed with your video as to your style, delivery, and content! I already have the QQ Extra and mostly because of this video I am going to add the Mamba also. Thank you!!
This video reminds me A lot of the one you did for flight test on the beaver in your basement mixed with your timber X review. Great flow energy and editing. Keep it up!
Great Video, You nail all the bullet points I am interested in as a Flyer, enthusiasts, and RC flight geek. I Subscribed , liked, and shared with my friends.
I fly a lot of 3D with a Twisted Hobbys 39" Edge 540 V3 and get 4-5 minute flight times on a 3s 1000 using a similar setup to the Mamba. My guess is that it's due to the Edge being a little over 2 pounds lighter. If I spot an empty park it's pretty much my go-to since some of the more aggressive 3d maneuvers such as crankshafts can scare some people and dogs with the noise. These days I prefer to keep a DLG in the car since soaring is very relaxing and unobtrusive. Also, a single 1s 500 will get you about 1 hour of flying just to get to 3.8V(storage voltage) which is very convenient.
The only aircraft I have is the the Flite test stem Micro fighter(which I absolutely love). I am looking to get a slightly better one but its so expensive.
Thanks so much Alex for this awesome long term review, I think you convinced me. Also did you see nano goblins are for pre-order? I know you're a fan too.
Alex, awesome review,! You gave us great insight into the flying characteristics of this plane, for me it would be a great replacement for my decommissioned Hyperbipe, but a much much better version (that flexible landing gear reminded me of it) Love there are individual servos, I don't think it's an overkill but a necessity if you want more precision when flying and having to go to balsa. We really like your review and looking forward to more RC plane content! Cheers from the Millennium park and happy flights! ✈ -S.
It is few years at leas I no longer watch flite test videos as I switched to other RC channels for few reasons. And now I watched one video due to YT recommendations. Was curios with the new personality in the film and bad feeling knowing the past of FT. Scrolled through few videos on purpose and was shocked no longer seeing you in the videos. Have you left the FT? For me personally you always where ambassador of FT . Always admired your sincerity.
Thanks for stopping by and watching! I left FT almost 2 years ago to continue my career. Plan on continuing to share my hobby shenanigans here - like and subscribe for more :)
I have ordered 2 YAK 55's, RV8 60E and the mamba g2. Out of those I've had issues with them not including the right screws, or prop adaptors or forgetting to include the wheel pants. If i've had this many issues i can only imagine how many more there has been. Still haven't received the mamba but at least i know what to expect. Also customer service isn't great and never get back to you i'm still trying to collect my parts from them so i can fly my planes and it's been over 2 weeks.
Flex innovations makes some nice stuff. Their rv8 60e is an amazing plane. It's been my go to daily flyer since I got it. Flies so dam good no matter how you want to fly. Only thing I didn't like is that it's advertised to have a custom designed wood prop. But when you hold a xoar prop next to it they look exactly the same
Yea..it felt weird & confusing to have a brand & logo etc when really I just want to use this channel to share my personal hobby experiences.. idk I can always change it back 🤷♂️
I agree with the decision to change it. Drive on no longer fit the direction of the channel. Much easier to market yourself than a brand. We all saw what Peter did without brand ties.
Damn, I wish, that I would find your video a few month earlier... I would never buy G2(which is "flying Brick"). I love to fly low and slow... Lack of instructions on how AFCS works, times their crappy tech support, makes me not want to buy their product .... ever.
Lets get him to 50k!
Alex, you're still the voice I trust the most in RC matters. Love this thoughtful and comprehensive review.
thanks for the support Cade 😎
Great to see doing some plane reviews again!

so cool to see you flying at those fields, I go there with my son and our planes alot
That split-s after a long roll was extreme!
Ayee, it’s good to have you back bud.
So great to see new uploads to this channel! And planes too!!!
good to see you again!!! GO 50K!!
Always wanted one after flying a friends…
Good to see you again 😌
Nice to see you making your own videos!! Great content!

well the 6s packs the G2 flies on are very common aswell these days because of all the race quads
very true - great point especially if you're into high performance quads 👍
@@Drive_On but other then that the 1500/1800mah 6s range is a very strange size 😅 id rather see a nice 4s setup tho on these smaller birds 🤔
@@didierneeferc Not to mention, 4S is a lot lighter, and not everyone wants to fly like Jase Dussa....

Cool video, I've missed you and your humour from Flite test. I'm curious as to why you left.

Not only that, but they can't keep their "proprietary" props in stock on their web side or in the local hobby store(LHS).
Fly On baby
How easy would it be to take the wings off this plane for storage at home?
What gimbal sticks do you have on your dx8? I’m trying to look for aftermarket gimbal sticks.
do u recommend the g1 or g2 for learning 3d
Go Tiki
NICE

What tx are you using? I have a Radiomaster TX16S!
Old school spektrum dx8.. going on 10 years old 😬
@@Drive_On cool
Why did you ask this question? I guess somebody been though FlexxInnovation customer tech support too, eh!? I use Radiomaster Tx16S MkII.
Changed the channel name, eh?
Yea..it felt weird & confusing to have a brand & logo etc when really I just want to use this channel to share my personal hobby experiences.. idk I can always change it back 🤷♂️
@@Drive_On nah it makes sense to just have it be whatever you want it to be. Your interests aren't just rc cars.

yoooooooo Readi-board!!!! Thanks for dropping by! Your foamboard is top shelf!
First comment. keep up the fun.
