WU TANG IS FOR THE CHILDREN Greatest hip hop group of all time. Densest lyrical group of all time. And educational! Keep going it’s all amazing! Seriously just do a full album reaction of “36 Chambers”. IMO it’s the best rap album ever, absolute perfection, top to bottom. Nas and Wu were tight, several collabs, Ghostface calls Nas an honorary Wu member. Amazingly after Wu’s perfect debut 36 Chambers, Nas dropped his perfect debut Illmatic just a few months later.
Wu Tang is its own genre really BUT you can still classify Wu Tang as "BOOM BAP".. Boom Bap is a style of lyrical hardcore (usually but not always) rap mostly from NYC but can also be from other east coast cities (New Jersey, Boston, Philly).. The artists I mentioned before are all in that the Boom Bap genre.. Check out Eric B and Rakim, Kool G Rap, Krs-one, Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J to hear how it kinda started in the late 80s.. early 90s it really took off with Nas, Biggie and Wu tang. also Mystery of Chessboxin by Wu Tang 4th Chamber by GZA (wu tang member and it has multiple wu tang guys on it).. Wu Tang got 10 main members and over a hundred affiilated rappers.
@@andrewwalker1700 I lived all over boston and the surrounding towns for a few years. from Dorchester to Somerville, to Lynn and Chealsea, to Brocton and Lawrence. I love 7L & Esoteric
Mobb Deep, Big Pun, Boot Camp clik (Heltah Skeltah, OGC, Black Moon, Smif N Wesson), M.O.P., are other similar rappers to Nas and Wu tang you can check out. But check out more wu tang
C.R.E.A.M. - CASH - RULES - EVERYTHING - AROUND - ME There are 9 Mc's in the group Raekwon The Chef is the first one spiitin Inspecta Deck is the second one WuTang is from (Shaolin Island) Staten Island Nyc
Do Protect Your Neck. You will get 8 of the 9 official members on that video.(over 40+ other members) It has a hard core vibe you’ll like. You’ll probably realize you heard of more of the members names before in the culture. Wu Tang is the Pinnacle of excellence in hip hop lyricism They are mostly from Staten Island and Brooklyn). Shaolin Island. Heavy Kung Fu references/themes
Hype to see this banger here ahah, Wu tang is indeed from NY, I don't much anything about Wu tang tbh so I can't help with much more ahah, though I think they had 9 or 10 members
Raekwon then Inspectah Deck on this track. Some of RZAs beats I just can't vibe with but all these guys are spitters for sure. IMO Inspectah Deck is one of the most underrated MCs of the last 3 decades. His verse on Triumph might be the best verse I've ever heard, no lies. N his verse here is extremely vivid; I mean who was rapping about depression in like 93/94? Scarface is the only other i can think of. These brothers were ahead of their time that's for sure.
FUN FACT: JIMMY SPICER.. DOLLAR BILL Y'ALL.. METHS INSPIRATION. I'm your dad's age, this is what we grew up on in the UK too.. I just came to see who is still discovering my childhoods hip hop heroes.. so many of you youngsters appreciating it means so much considering the degeneracy state of hip hop currently.
