You ABSOLUTELY have to! If any RH dolls are worth the money, it’s them… especially if you’re restyling them. They make me soo happy just looking at them! They make Laurel and Holly (I think that’s their names) look like actual children’s toys. The Storm twins look like something you’d want to keep in a box on display lol.

Veronica has the best bangs out of all of the RH dolls with bangs! I think the slight curl really makes them look better. Violet, sunny, and luna’s bangs are almost always funky looking. I think they started taking pointers from the lol omg bangs.
I think the way you always curls the bottom of the braids is genius. Whenever I braid their hair I usually don’t like the way the braid ends, but this make them 10 times cuter.
Those bangs really give me life! I’ve never loved bangs on a doll the way I love Veronica’s bangs. They’re so fluffy, they stay in place really well, and they give her that extra sass that her character has. I would like to see how she’d look with the bags moved to the side or removed altogether. I would do it myself but I’m too scared lol she looks too good for me to tamper with her at the moment!
Agreed! That’s why I dislike violet and sunny. Maybe they can make another doll with curls like this but a little less exaggerated for other Rainbow high dolls.
Right! They are a little dramatic for other characters but if they can find a way to slightly minimize them in a way, I think they’d be great

I just unboxed them yesterday (found them on sale 😍) and I'm obsessed!! I think Veronica is my favorite of the twins! Not downplaying Naomi because she still slays, but something about Veronica speaks to me! And yes, I'd definitely buy the dolls more if MGA styled their hair like you! I love your music choices. Amazingly relaxing and meaningful. I'm almost ashamed to say I display my dolls as they come out of box. If course I fluff and style a bit but I'm afraid of ruining them. Ugh. I have a 70 year span of collecting if you count my revlon dolls. But I'm not as old as that just my collection. Lol
The Storm Twins was the second set of Shadow High dolls I got. I didn't restyle mine, but I am obsessed with their aesthetic and color scheme. Veronica specifically is my favorite doll in both the Rainbow and Shadow High lines just because I love her outfit and her hairstyle/accessories. They are just so aestheticly perfect to me.

The twins are the ones who got me into rainbow high and shadow high in the first place. I hadn't been interested till series 4 and shadow high. Mila caught my eye, Harley caught my attention, then these twins SLAYED and drove me into obsession. Now I'm a collector after all. Still primarily shadow high

I remember when I first got Shanelle Onyx I had to pause and take a moment of silence while holding her because of how gorgeous she was in real life. Pictures and video reviews really don't these little ladies enough justice. You just gotta physically be with them.
Absolutely! I had the same reaction with Shanelle, Georgia and Sheryl which I never expected to love the way that I do. It’s that moment when you pull them out of the packaging and touch them… it’s a crazy experience lol. I’ve sent pictures to my cousin but she had no interest in them until she came over and saw them with her own eyes and held them. She asked if she could keep one haha
@@rodneyrainbow I know! I know it's considered absolute sin to not keep your dolls in boxes to most people in the doll collecting community, but it's for that very reason I take them out. I did research on the price right after commenting, and they are much more expensive than i thought (i expected 120$ AUD and in some places they cost over 200$ AUD) so I am not sure I will be able to afford them, but if i ever can I will most likely buy them. Thank you Mandi! Yes, the only reasons I’d consider getting Ainsley are the clothes and her dark hair. She doesn’t do enough in the show for me to care for her character. The hair jewelry is linked in my description box, as well as in the pinned comment :) I’d recommend at least trying a simple style and see where it goes! I understand you don’t want to mess the hair up though!

So I agreed with what you said, the twins are better than Ainsley. But I’ve committed to only collecting RH dolls so I ended up getting Ainsley. My beau surprised me with the twins, so that’s how I have them 🥰. Best way to get around the “Thou shalt only collect-ith Rainbow High dolls” commandment. I love their oil slick hair and the fashion, sis slay. Love Veronica the most, she fits my preppy life esthetic, but they both go so hard- no need to make em compete. Haha.

Fabulous restyling of both dolls, well done. I am wondering, over time, will the curls drop? And also when it comes time for removing dust from our dolls, will you be able to comb through each curl and would they stay that tight? I have had all types of dolls on display for a number of years, but have been afraid to comb through the few that I have curled, so just curious what you think.
Thank you! I would not recommend combing through the curls that you have created. The curls may loosen over time (depending on what kind of hair it is) but with these dolls in particular, the curls don’t completely drop.
If you want to get rid of the dust, your best bets are slightly wetting the hair in it’s curled state and using a hair net to keep the curls in place and let them dry. You could comb through with conditioner if you’d like, but your likely hood of loosing the curl definition will rise.

By FAR, you have the BEST speaking voice; many “guy doll channels” feel the need to lay on the high pitched voice, & I mean that in no district to them (I’m a dancer & have TONS of ballet guy friends & love them dearly, I respect all) it just seems they lay on the voice extra to compensate the doll hobby maybe? (again, not MY feelings, just hope they come across)

Aw thank you so much for this Noelle! You have no idea how much it means to me. It’s been my goal since I began this to create a relaxing and soothing atmosphere for doll people of all kinds. Whenever I’m recording the voiceovers, I feel as though I am speaking to other adult collectors so I feel no inclination to speak using a baby voice. I like to balance my voice in a way that’s not too monotone, soft or too rough.
As previously mentioned, this is a creative outlet for me. I constantly have ideas running through my mind so I figured I’d share the creativity/relaxation of styling dolls with others who love them just as much as I do. I do admire that I’ve been able to connect with so many people via these dolls. We are all apart of a community in which many other adults may not comprehend or understand, so it feels nice to have the opportunity to engage in conversations and discussions about these dolls that bring us so much joy.

My Naomi doll came with her leg broken it popped right off when I tried to move it so I did a body swap with veronica so she has the fixed leg and I need to redo both of there hairs
The time, skill and patience it takes to do the hair as you do would add a bigger price point onto the dolls if MGA was going to attempt it. It would force them more out of kids hands and into collectors so I understand why they often go with simpler styles. I do love watching you do up your gals though. So cute!
Thank you 😊. Yes, in a way, I’m happy that they go with simpler styles for these gals. If they had complex hairstyles out of the box, I’d feel less inclined to take time and restyle them, which takes away from that bonding experience I get to have while doing their hair.

I was honestly shocked at how desperately these two needed a restyle right out of the box. A ton of product, knots galore, and a decent amount of shedding. After a wash im not happy with how the curls disappeared tho. Time to check my dollar store for straws.
Yes they definitely needed a lot of work. I personally think it’s very much worth it, but it can be very annoying and frustrating to have to prepare them so much for display
