id love to see these mimics try to mimic the actual players! cause if its people who know eachother, a random voices "hello? hey!" will raise an alarm instantly cause "thats not what your friends sound like". but if they could have like this thing in the game like in phasmophobia? how the ghost responds to you saying their name? but instead, it looks for starter conversations. like-
if someone designed the game to have 2 layers essentially, the first layer is the ones that the player is interacting with. but the second layer is essentially a reccording of that gameplay. and while the players are looking around on layer 1. the game is also looking around on layer 2 for key words. for example "Hi, Hello?, Hey!, Guys?, GUYS!, RUN!, THIS WAY! Follow! Found!" and when it finds these key words from the second layer, the game reccords the audio taken from the players mic right at the start of that keyword, until it detects a pause in the sentence. and when its taken a sample of that sentence. it programs the mimics to REPLAY that sample to the other players when running towards them. so that way when you hear " *hey* wait up!" in your friends voice, you have no idea if its actually them or not.
or maybe theres like a super easy way to do this idk i've never made a game before. im just taking inspiration on alien isolation cause apparently the alien has 2 brains on ai. one knows where you are the other is getting hints from the other brain as to where you are. and phasmophobas ai voice response.
