Had to move from HB to Riverside. I MISS HB SOOO Much. You took me back to Main St. the Pier.....I could almost smell the salty ocean. I appreciate your silence and just allowing the surroundings to fill the space with it's own vibrations. You took me Home....Thank You!
wow...don't know how you could have made that move! IE is horrible! I live in Anaheim and get to HB/NB/LBC as much as possible...just great vibes there!
MAN!!!!! i feel all warm and fuzzy inside. i miss southern cali sooooooooooooo much. cant wait to get back. i tried seattle for 3 years. naw..cali is where my heart is. thanks for uploading this video.
your video takes me back...boy does it send me retro....surfing, beach, dirt bikes, road race, running the 405 in Porsches, UCI campus engineering school and part of an engineering career at AST and Beckman Instruments...I lived a five minute walk from that area...woow!! totally changed yet still the same.
I am from India, I have watched two or three of your videos and this is the best so far. I have to appreciate the work you do, to take us through these beautiful places and people. May God bless you for your kindness. Amazing experience.
I was born and raised in Huntington Beach:) My grandpa owned the restaurant at the end of the pier in the 40s and 50s..it was called Fisherman's Grotto..
I frequented Fisherman's Grotto as young kid while fishing off the old pier. You could feel the pier moving while you sat there eating those "tough" pancakes! Real stick to rib food! We lived on Main Street at 1110 Main and accross the alley behind our house I think your family lived. Small world!
@@vnsurfer7413 I was actually born in Pasadena but we moved to HB when I was a young kid. Love HB and miss the old days with the shops downtown on Main St. We lived on Main St. by Lake Park. Long time ago since graduated from HBHS 1967!
Born and raised in hb but moved to Las Vegas recently. Obviously complete opposites. Missing home during this quarantine. Thanks for this beautiful video ❤️❤️
That was great... thanks man. From an HB native who lives in NJ now... my heart and soul ( and attitude ) will always be HB style which only a native understands. We are like a country within a state within a country...
I agree. Although not born there, I moved there when I was 10 years old in 1963 and lived there full time until 1993 and finally left there for good in 2020 when my mother passed away.
I am sitting here watching this as I prepare for a snow storm of 10 inches. I wonder if people fortunate enough to live in California know how lucky they are.
Flew out to HB a few times when my grandma lived out there. Loved it, felt so good in that 0 humidity! Loved waking up early and riding a bike all the way down to balboa during sunrise.
I live just down the road from Main Street in H.B. I've been darn near death and bed ridden, so for me this is very cool because I can take a visual walk around my beloved town which I'd normally do under different circumstances. I'm close to getting back out their. Can't wait. Big thanks for doing this video!!
@@WindWalkTravelVideos Wow, that is super kind of you Wind Walk Travel Videos for offering to do that for me. I can't stress that enough. Okay, I'll give it some thought and again, I very much appreciate your nice gesture!!
Polly, I live about 4.5 miles from the H.B. Pier. What you saw in this video was a day before a major holiday. Lots of tourists and temporary vendors' tents. Generally, it's not that crowded. Plenty of restaurants along Main St. Duke's is my favorite at the base of the pier, right on PCH (Pacific Coast Hwy.). Hopefully, by the time you come, the temps. will have cooled down a bit.
Ahhh my home city!!! I moved to Europe to study art for 4 years and I can only afford to visit during summer. I've been getting home sick during the holidays.
Whenever I get tired of the german people and weather, I come back to this video. This video is so spot on. I loved every second of my vacation there. The people are super friendly and chill and strangers greet you with a smile and engage in conversations. I will definitely come back soon. I am glad I chose HB over any other tourist destination in California.
I BET THE HIGH COST OF LIVING DROVE YOU OUT DIDNT IT???? ITS JUST AS WELL CAUSE TOWNS LIKE THIS ARE A FAIRY TALE WHERE NOTHING IS REAL. AND THAT GOES DOUBLE FOR THE PPL.
I love your videos! It's good ambience for when you read/study actually. You should come down here to Australia and film some walking videos along some of our beaches, I think you will really like it here! :)
My friend and I stayed at Bondi Beach years ago. It reminded both of us of Huntington Beach in the 60s where we grew up. Funny, when talking to the life guards they warned us about body surfing. We told him we grew up body surfing the pier and the wedge at Newport Beach.
Thank you for this wonderful video. Seems like I have to visit LA and the awesome beaches very soon. Great work! Many heartfelt greetings from Bavaria/Germany.
I've been in HB since 2017. Not as long as most of these viewers and have seen very little change of the city throughout the time living here....but seeing Main St with no outdoor dining. Almost forgot what it looked like.
Is it cool there? I drove to Laguna beach last year July 4th , but didnt get there til night and it was damp and freezing, but Ive been in Vegas for a couple years and maybe Im used to more heat now.
At about 23:39 is Palos Verdes which is not an island. 24:41 is an extremely faint Catalina to the right. Avalon Harbor is in the dip. At sunset the whole island pops, it's just amazing. If it's really clear you'll see San Clemente island way out to Catalina's left. Yes there is another island out there haha
Hello WW&T! Do you already have a walking video from ATLANTIC CITY?! And maybe OCEAN CITY, Md? That’s where I’m from originally (Maryland) b4 I moved to CA! 😁😀☺️🇺🇸👍🏼 And how about Balboa Island Villlage WALK maybe????

This has really nice summer vibes, this is a great video to get in the mood for 4th of July.
Thank you for the stroll. I am doing research for a book, and this helped with the design of a pier. What a great day it was to do this video.

Is swimming in salt water something you have to get used to? Where can you rinse off the salt after going into it??
Saltwater is good for the skin but sunblock is important if you don't cover up after swimming in the ocean
