Jake Gyllenhaal should make a film based on detective loki alone
i would watch there is something so endearing about that character
Yeahh i would like to see this 😍😍
YEES! TAKE MY MONEY!
Build on that idea ....think about it so much ...paint a picture in your mind of what you would like that film to be ....then write it yourself.
yes @howto35, I think thats a great idea , even I am of a great fan of him , he should do it and we don't know how many other wants the same ...😊
My favorite Gyllenhaal role. He was just perfect in this. And I feel like Det. Loki deserves 10 more movies. If they're written and directed just as good as Prisoners.
I'd say this one and his portrayal of Robert Graysmith in Zodiac are my two favorites. I really love Zodiac as a movie in general and this was sort of directed with the same feel so that's probably why I liked this one too!
Тhis mоvie is nоw aааavаilable tо wаtсh hеrе => twitter.com/7aef42b2f50531def/status/795843358795055105 Рrisоnеrs Intеrview with Jakе Gуlleеnhaal Dеtеееесtivе Lоki
Maybe an anthology of different cases that involve detective Loki
Gyllenhaal got robbed for Zodiac at the Oscar's. He was a masterpiece in that film.
@@sleepdeprived7780yes, Det. Loki is fascinating.
This guy's acting is flawless.
Yes.
yess I love himm
LOVE HIS HAIRCUT
My hair is like because of him
+G.U.A.C “Final Breath” amoley I'm so jealous of his hair in this movie lmao I want it
Its a smart ass haircut
its like rafe's haircut from uncharted 4
Pedro Amorim That's actually how I found this kickass movie lol, I searched up rafe's haircut and found Loki
i wish they'd made a series or another movie about detective Loki , his story is so interesting
as somebody who used to get made fun of for having tics as a kid, it was really cool to see such a great character have them. I love Jake
I really love his hair cut! And the movie was good too.
detective loki is so hot idc
I've never related to a character so much in any movie. He was so good in this
Jim Garrison I know me replying to your comment is a bit dumb because it's a year old, but Loki was told to lay off of the missing girls case if you payed attention to the movie.
You spoke of my mind, just for him I watched this movie twice. :-)
Dude same
So you used to be a detective hunting down child snatchers?
this guy and Ryan Gosling are incredible actors, truly one of a kind...
Lucas Bigg Frisky
I was just about to start a massive list of equally, endlessly amazing actors... But I restrained myself
Jake and Ryan Gosling need worked together
Jake and Ryan Reynolds is the best duo in movie Life
Petition for a detective Loki spin-off
Well despite our differences it was nice chatting, hope you have a nice life.
True detective with him.
Detective Loki is my fav male movie character
I thought I might be the only one. He is not conventionally handsome
but there is a power in the performance, a look in his eyes, which
one does not easily forget. Tough and noble.
Lol how is he not conventionally handsome? He's the most handsome man in my opinion. Such beautiful expressive eyes, cutest smile and balanced features. He's adorable. I'm simply obsessed 😂
He was right when he said, people would want to watch this movie more than one, I watched it like 50 times. I wanna know more about the characters, this movie is a masterpiece.
I just watched this movie and was blown away. 1. How did I just come across this movie? And 2, How wasnt Jake awarded an Oscar?
Jake should have at least 2 Oscars by now. He's insanely versatile. Compare this character to Lou Bloom, or to Seymour. Whether in a movie or on stage he's totally committed to the role.
Well that tattoos are all just meaningful to Detective Loki, but at certain times he hides the tattoos and in other times he is careless, as if he is ashamed of something in his past. He was part of a boys home, that is an institution along with his mason ring representing institution, and finally the police force representing institution. He seems to want to break from institution but he knows it so well. Institution goes along with the kidnappers cult, which is why is uncomfortable/on edge.
He was amazing in this movie. Loved it.
Detective Loki needed his own damn mini series .
Imagine Det. Loki interrogating Lou Bloom??
Best character in a movie EVER! I love Loki :) Really good performance by Jake!
He's soooo hot.
Jakey jake with Jensen ackels
I mean it's definitely part of his character, as stated by gangsterturk25. But I think the purpose of the tattoos were to establish the fact that he had a checkered past, which was what Jake referenced when he mentioned his character was an orphan and a juvenile criminal in the interview.
I'm here for the same reason. He pulls it off really well
such a good movie !!!
What he said about just watch it once I so agree! Yesterday I walked out of the cinema like wait whaaat? I need to see that again! haha
my left ear is loving this 🔥🔥🔥
love love love this guys acting
One of the finest and most versatile actors..
i love how stoic the character was
Detective Rust and detective loki are the best detectives ever
Exactly my thoughts! they need a show that continues true detective's first season with Rust and Loki solving new crimes with cults involved, that would be wild, i'd pay for that.
One heck of a character. I hope his character gets a continuation in his story in either a movie or a series. The character was quite well-written. But there has to be good writing and directing though. And obviously the character just wouldn't work as well if he was recast. But that's just my opinion.
We definitely need more Det. Loki. He's fascinating. And I agree, the role has to be Jake's.
such a great movie
When I saw Prisoners, and I'm just watching from home here on my laptop, Youtubing, I was in for a big treat! I thought that I was just going to see your typical "cat and mouse" kind of movie where there is a policeman looking for a criminal, but I found something more, which is to say that there are twists and turns in the plot that I think are great. If it were just entertainment. I think that if you push beyond the whole.. 'it's not just entertainment', 'what if it could be real,' kind of thing... then it becomes one of the most scariest Frightening experiences that anyone could personally experience either in one's family or to you as a prisoner. There are some things that are controversial in the movie (and are surprising) such as the fact that Hugh Jackman's character steals the suspect and beats him up; torturing him. Also, if one pays careful attention Jake Gyllenhaal's character Detective Loki keeps missing him beating him up! He keeps almost letting him go by Fate, almost as though he sided with Hugh Jackman, the father of one of the girls. Now, my question is Would he? Would Det. Loki protect Hugh Jackman? Defend his innocence? Or would he put him in prison? Det. Loki is in a type of mental prison when he searches as through a maze for the stolen children, trying to do his job. He goes well and above and beyond that though; we can see that as an audience, I think that's why we are on his side so much! And Hugh Jackman and Terrance Howard are also both mental prisoners, not only mental, but physical prisoners to not having their daughters back home! The feeling of safety that goes along with this movie is inescapable and its effect on the human mind; without it we truly are prisoners. I loved also how Viola Davis and Melissa Leo had strong roles in this movie too. For instance, when Viola goes to visit Paul Dano's character (whom Hugh Jackman suspects) she almost gets her face slashed with glass by him when she loosens his straps and sets him free. Very controversial! In that she should probably have stood back and not gotten so close or set him free. What if she were to become living proof that her husband played by Terrance Howard had been involved in torturing the suspect? Melissa Leo had a great role too as the woman who seems too weak to interact because psychologically she just can't stand it. She just by her very nature of being at home though gets a brush with another suspect who enters her home. And she brings the audience to cold chills! Only a mother's love. In the end of the movie, it is the two women who stroll the girls out of the hospital (one in a wheelchair). And it is women who are closest to the children. The two girls will forever have to deal with their memories of having been prisoners of a twisted woman's mind!
Check of The Storytellers' analysis of this film... available on RUclips, you'll be in for a threat ; -)

Det loki movie pleaseeee
Love you :)
I might just become a detective because of this movie. Idk sounds crazy but im 22, love the dudes haircut, and it seems interesting lmao. Shit i got nothing else to do.
I still don't get the relevance of Loki's Masonic ring, upside down cross on his hand, and neck tattoo. Anyone have any theories?
It’s not really a theory but almost every celebrity is satanic and apart of the freemasons so they decided to put it in the movie
@@roxstarz2288 only cretins think Masons are in any way involved with satanism.
Neck tattoo = rebirth
Mason ring = value in rationale
Why did he blink his eyes all movie? What was the massage?
Physical things, like the twitch and stuff like that, that sort of began as an idea, early on. It really just felt right; I can't exactly explain why at first. And then, as I realized that he had so much going on in his mind, so many pieces of information to hold onto, and, emotionally, he was repressing so much, that sometimes that comes out in strange physical ways and attributes and tics. And I found that to be a way in which it was like an expression of this emotional state; he just couldn't emote, because it would hurt the case. It could hurt him in trying to figure out the case, it could cause great doubt. So he was just dealing with computing so much that it was almost like an overload. It was like a glitch.
Sgt Pepper Is it you Jake?
the director really emphasized on details and ask Jake to make that to show he had a tic
