Most ppl are totally unaware of what's being built at Arsenal, they're only focusing what's in front of them. Behind the scenes Edu and Arteta along with Josh are building a monster,sustainable foundation for Arsenal to be competitive for a very long time. Yea,they want to win trophies now, but if we don't win the EPL this season I don't believe there'll be any panic, because in the summer they'll bring in the final pieces of the squad they want. We're STILL ahead of schedule. I totally trust the process because I realehats happening.

@@Owensha - Those are very valid points! 👍👍 These points notwithstanding however, I also think that us buying Havertz rather than a direct replacement for Xhaka has significantly stymied us >> disrupted the beautiful balance of the team we had last season! Havertz is not a box-2-box all-purpose midfielder, and furthermore Odegaard isn't a deep lying midfielder either!! In playing the latter out of position especially we've lost heaps in terms of creativity - which has consequently been borne out by our significant drop goals compared with what we achieved after 18 games last season, as well as fewer points (6 down). Hopefully indeed as you say this imbalance inefficiency will be addressed in January, and once Partey & Tommy return we should be cooking like crazy!! 😃✌✌

I think Kai Havertz's game kills Martinelli. Martinelli thrives in empty spaces, but Kai Havertz plays too close to him, bringing his defender along. How many times we are seeing him cutting inside from the wide left, having to pass trough his defender, then Kai, then Kai's defender, and when he finally does it he has to turn back because he is already being blocked by the Centre Backs at the center of the Box. And unlike Zinchenko and Odegaard, Havertz rarely tries to make deep line breaking passes, which could take advantage of Nelli's speed. I think Trossard is better suited to play with Havertz on the left, since Havertz is good at short passing and the Belgian has more composure on his passing to be able to find Havertz in the middle of the defenders.
Martinelle thrives well when playing with a natural fullback that makes decoy runs and doesn't hold on to the ball too long.
Last season, Arsenal was more fluid going forward. They managed to score two early goals and should have put Liverpool to bed. It was unfortunate that this was the first game we lost William Saliba. Rob Holding was then literally exposed by Liverpool after the first 30 minutes of dominance that eventually led to the 2-2 draw. it was practically the same story and outcome. But, we showed a lot more composure and control throughout the 94 minutes. Apart from the Salah goal, Liverpool was just limited to 1 big chance to score a second goal. This was only made possible by the unfortunate entanglement of Martin Odagaard and Zinchenko at the edge of the Liverpool box. Even the goal by Salah was due to the absence of Tomiyasu and Jurrien Timber. Otherwise, Zinchenko would not have started this game. Last season, it was Tomiyasu who was deployed against Moh. Salah. This is a very strong Arsenal team that I see will win the EPL title this season. We are well equipped, especially from the defence to midfield. The unavailability of Jurrien Timber and Tomiyasu is the only reason why this game ended in a draw and not a victory for us. In terms of squad depth, Mikel probably need a traditional no.9 in the January window or an attacking midfielder to add more prowess at the attacking front.

You’re kind of disrespectful to Zinchenko for the second episode in the row bro. He played against Salah at Anfield and got dribbled by one time. Can you name a player in EPL who Salah can’t dribble by? Zin did loose a ball maybe twice, but not in dangerous zones. He had to overcome that crazy high press together with the rest of the team and he did well, especially considering how open the game was. Zinchenko is not perfect but he deserves some respect for his quick thinking, field vision, ball progression and passion.
We can understand losing a 1v1, against possibly the best rw the prem has seen, but multiple careless giveaways isn't something we can just overlook.

Luv as always Bhavs. About a week late with the Oshimen contract news but it’s looking promising for us never the less. In recent years weather we spent big or found gems we have covered; GK, CB,LB,CM,LM&RM what’s left … I think arsenal will hold out till summer and trigger the release clause. It’s just convincing him between now and then and looking at Chelsea recent transfers if their our competition, I’m confident 😅. His release clause is set at £110m.
In regards to Toney, I agree. Signing him in January will win ya the trophy this year, but our longevity won’t be as formidable as with the Oshimen signing.
We have to back and give respect ZINCHENKO this guy brings a lot in our Arsenal team no matter how the game intensity is he try to calm the situations and put believes in our young lads 🎉

My January wishlist would be two center-backs (Diomonde being one of them); a left-back (our own player, a fit Tierney would be great), and a center-forward (like Serhou Giurassy).
If I had to choose players to sell, they would be Kiwior, Cedric Soares (but only if we are sure Tomiyasu and Timber are returning), Sambi Lokonga, and Fabio Vieira.
Smith-Rowe, Nketiah, and Reiss Nelson all have big roles to play. So do Partey and Trossard. Maybe even Jorginho.

Indeed,a few new signings like , astriker,a midfielder and a right sided central defender or a full back would get us the title

As for Zinchenko, he’s going to cost us more and more goals if he’s continually played at left back…..he can’t defend. 100% cost us the Salah goal and personally I think he’s a hype job. We could make some real money on Nketiah, Smith Row and Ramsdale. The squad is nowhere near as deep as people think. We need back up for both wings as well as at least one centre back. Arteta needs to be ruthless and get rid of any players we can make some money on

I heard that West Ham intend to submit a bid of at least £40M for NKetiah once the Transfer Window opens! Given our desperate need for a clinical striker, I really think that we should let Eddie go either to The Hammers, or another higher bidding suitor, and use the money yielded from his sale to fund the acquisition of Solanke as well as a quality central midfielder!

Zinchenko is our biggest weakness since last year. No matter what football”specialists” try to convince us that his offensive skills surpass his drawbacks by far. That’s not true. We need Timber healthy as fast as possible. Zinchenko is good against low block teams in the lower part of the table

Onana is great honestly but we have rice and I don’t know why we need another defensive midfielder when he can’t create chances. We need an attacking midfielder like KDB or close to him, and a striker.

Guys let’s not get onto Martinelli like that, he doesn’t have support on the left side of the field, Havertz is playing as a shadow / second striker and Zinny inverts centrally, we need a player like Tierney who over laps and gives Martinelli defensive security same with Xhaka, despite Xhaka going forward he would still support Martinelli on the left hand side
I agree Xhaka is sorely missed .What a powerful combination both Rice and Xhaka.
In this game Havertz was even closer to Martinelli and it wasn't like Martinelli was getting doubled up on. It was all one vs ones vs Konate and he couldn't get past him and wasn't helping Zinchenko out either by tracking back. I love the lad but when he plays bad, we should say it
Mate if we selling anyone in Jan it's going to be jorginho but then use zinchenko in the centre because he can't defend like the rest of our defence but can play good balls. We use tomi and kiwior at lb until we get tierney back or tavares

I would love to see Martinelli more upfront centrally rather than wing just playing off the last man as that kid has energy, always running and doesn't go down easy like Jesus. hopefully Timber is back soon or we get a better left back as every time I watch arsenal I always see our weakest roles is striker and left back. Arsenal is looking more confident but we still have a few things to work on but we are looking a stronger team.
If Timber returns from an ACL tear and into training in Jan, I’d be scared they have rushed him back
Into light running maybe. I would assume he is out for season and if back it will be very slowly building up. Expecting him to be major factor in winning league probably wishful thinking
