@German Suplex Potato it didn't sound this way when he first learned how to scream without hurting himself, he sounded like a frog lmao. He's mastering the technique though so it's sounding so much better.

@@aram282 his technique in 2011 was the same technique he was using in 2005 and destroying his voice. Yes, the Chapman studios recording sounds great but his voice was paying the price. I think Matt outlines more about the two techniques in videos during the recording of The Sin and the Sentence.
I guess Trivium have played now nearly everything that's available in Metal, they should try implementing some Black Metal and Industrial stuff in, then you can clearly say they have played everything that is able in Metal

I fucking love Trivium but the singing parts definitely need work .... the heavy parts are amazing ..... if Matt learned how to sing in key then Trivium would be unstoppable..... carry on .
