- We've had a few Gold Top Les Paul's in the shop recently, but this one absolutely takes the cake - a pristine 1955 Gibson Les Paul loaded with P-90s... but more importantly, the factory stop tailpiece! A rare setup in rare condition, with a beautiful look, sound, and feel. Trevor is here to give you the rundown on the gear today before Aaron Hiebert plugs into a black panel Fender Deluxe Reverb for the demo!

We “all” want the stoptail? I don’t think so, I’ll take the wraparound all day long
More tones to be had with the stoptail. You could topwrap with the wraparound but wouldn't want to dent the metal or suck tone out.

And by the way ... If this guitar was made before October, I was probably still seven years old in 1955, and I began struggling with guitar chords probably four years later, sometime in 1959. Lots of great guitars were born, when I was a kid!
