- Here's how I made a few Apple Power Mac G5's into benches for a local business. Forever grateful and honored to be a part of this project. Based off the designer Klaus Geiger. #apple #diy #woodwork #bench
Old Macs and woodworking? You got me. Great work!
Did I just find my people?! lol Thank you, Michael! I appreciate you bro!
Feels like something Marques Brownlee needs at his studio
Honestly… I might just throw it out to him and see if I even get a reply. That would be so awesome!lol Thanks for the idea! ☺️🤝🏾
This ASMR and music is ~chef’s kiss~!
Thank you! I appreciate you!! 🙏🏾🫶🏾
Sweet! Version 2 should double as a soda cooler!
Oh....that's an idea! That would be perfect in a den!
Finally, someone found the perfect use for the apple computer.
You sir are an artist
Thank you Nigel, too kind!
Cool idea, great execution. Makes me want to buy a couple Mac pro's.
Thanks Nathan! All credits for the design goes out to Geiger. I just had to scratch my head a couple of times to get to the execution side of it.lol Let me know if you ever do! It’s a super fun build ☺️
Very cool idea, the benches look amazing 👍🏻
Thanks Luc! I appreciate you!
Your craftsmanship is truly top notch. Excellent builds. I’m taking my single Mac Pro tower and doing a complete overhaul. Not a bench though.
I appreciate your kind words! An overhaul as in like gutting it out and adding new components to. use on the daily?
@@godwingabrielwoodworks yep, exactly right. In no hurry so it will be a really slow build.
This is so sick! Awesome build, never in a million years would I have thought about turning these into a bench
Good Job!
love it!
Thank you!
Beautiful! Such great work!
Thanks Jeroen, it was a process for sure. I’m glad it came out what I envisioned!
Brilliant, I've had a G5 carcass sitting under a bench, collecting dust for years and I always wondered what to do with it.
Now I have a few ideas.
Thank you for the inspiration.
That was some awesome work and great idea 💡
Good job
Looks Perfect!!! Love it ❤
Nice work my brother. I was into furniture design/build inline with this kind of stuff for 7 years before starting a construction co. Such rewarding work when you pull off a project this well. Nice job!
Thank you my brother man! Congratulations on starting a construction co. One of my close friends own one as well, and I've seen firsthand the process. No minor feat, much respect!
Dang!! Somebody knows their way around a wood shop. Nice work mam!!!! 😎
Aww shucks! Let me tell you Aaron, this wood shop has been a PROCESS and still slowly building it together. I appreciate your kind words sir!
the seemless connection is just to die for 🤤
Man this whole video is so chill and relaxing. And the end result is super clean. Great work!
Thanks Alex! That means a lot! That’s the vibe I was going. Dialing in the project was super fun. I appreciate the kind words bro! 🙏🏾
Phenomenal job on this! What a unique idea!
What a cool project - great little shop too 👌
Thanks Tim! Having everything on wheels definitely helps out big time! I appreciate you ☺️
It turned out awesome! Congratulations!
That’s pretty sweet!
Thank you! It was a process but so well worth it! ☺️
Nice work. What a Masterpiece!
Keep going 👍
Beautiful
Thank you Gregory! I appreciate you 🙏🏾
throw that HomePod sitting at the window inside of the g5 will make it feel like magic when music comes out
This is so so so sick man. Love it. Keep making videos!!!
you need more lightning my friend
Very nice, but if the USB ports were enabled to charge phones, it would have been nicer.
From Saudi Arabia
Mind-blowing!
How cool would it be if the Apple logo’s lit up.
dam bro i had this idea ages ago! good thing i didn't make it cuz you would have put me to shame.
such a great idea 🔥 looks really nice
Great idea, great execution, and great video :D
Thanks Martin! Coming from a creator like yourself, that means a lot!
J'adore l'idée. C'est très classe 👍
Finaly, an african-american wood work expert!!🙏🏽
I don’t think he’s black…
Wow!! I like this work!
Thank you! Your work is beyond beautiful!
Impressive really love it!!
Thank you so much! :)
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
High precision work. That curve is difficult. what router bit did you use?
It definitely was a tedious process for sure. I used a 1" radius rounding bit and then finessed it with a scraper and sander.
素晴らしい!
ありがとう!
Yo this is cool
Nice 😮
Thank you so much! 😊 🙏🏾
instant like
Thanks Ivan! I appreciate you! :)
brillant
Thank you Darian, I appreciate you! :)
what is the computer specs?
I'm honestly not positive as it was gutted out before given to me.
Is the wood apple?
It’s red oak sir. I think the tung oil I used made it pop even more. Great eye.
@@godwingabrielwoodworks I thought it was probably oak, just thought it would be fun if the whole bench was made of ‘Apple’….
I looked into it! But availability and cost effectiveness played a role as well. Maybe in the future ones, that would be a sweet detail for sure!
🤑🤑🤑
Apple WAS very sustainable, as an engineer i'm 100% sure someone designed it this way to have an afterlife use.
Apple is least sustainable now.
Honestly, the way it was designed - it's like it was MADE to be a bench. I agree with you, I'd love to pick the brain of the original designer.
Wow it’s so seemeles now what you got to do is put to of the line pc parts in it and put it in a park to save kids from walking now all they need to do is sit down and each subway serfer and shark tank edits instead of walking honestly I thought you had 1 mil but I would enjoy it more if you had. Some description of what you are doing
I'm always open to feedback, and i'll look into doing voiceovers in the future of walking you through the process of what i'm working on. Thank you!
@@godwingabrielwoodworks excellent quality for 5 months you new what you were doing when you started this
@@godwingabrielwoodworks it’s just with the longer ones Because the short form ones are really relaxing and try an uncut one on the side that may be a bit much
I’m definitely going to try implementing a description of the process. I appreciate your kind words, still growing and learning ☺️
This video is too dark, I struggled to see what you were doing
Thank you for the feedback, I'll make sure I keep that in mind!
