    So currently I own a 2010 Mazda 3 and it still drives great! Wala akong naging sakit ng ulo and all I needed to spend big was on its wheels and AC compressor for the last 13 years it has been with me but I am planning to let it go already. My family has a 2020 Xpander and both Mazda 3 and Xpander are really not that hungry for gas but still, gas is gas. We need to fuel up whenever we use it so technically we spend thousands on gas but when I saw this Ice Cream EV, at first I thought it was just an expensive Go Cart but I was surprised when I watched the reviews that it is really a legit car that can be taken to the expressways! WOW! So I am now thinking of maybe getting this to replace my 13 year old Mazda 3. Since I am single and my family has got their own car, in case I will be needing a gas powered vehicle then I can take the Xpander with me but for my own use, darn it! I am tempted to get this Matcha colored Ice Cream EV! Not bad for a car that can save me up tons of money and help save the environment through harmful gas emissions. I think a test drive will help me make my decision. :)

    700k Medyo mahal, around 300k lang yan sa China, so 400k for the shipment and markup nung local dealer? To think na Meron pang tax incentives ang EVs kaya dapat significantly lower dapat yung price nya. Kung nasa 450k-500k marami bibili nyan.

    • @dickmelsonlupot7697
      @dickmelsonlupot7697 Год назад +1

      well, no.
      The tax incentive is more on it not being affected by TRAIN but for the most part, there isn't any law or incentive in the PH to actually lower the prices.
      Plus there aren't any solid infra yet to make EVs a norm plus it's still pretty new in a market that doesn't really have much of an EV market so it's to be expected that the price is somewhat high but if you look at it overall, it's not even that expensive.

    • @scalemodeltutor9841
      @scalemodeltutor9841 Год назад +3

      @@dickmelsonlupot7697 I not sure about that, to think that we have a Train law and Executive Order no.12 for EVs, I mean, that would be 100% exemption from excise tax and "zero" on tariffs, that should be enough to impact the pricing. Makes me wonder, it feels like the reductions are not being passed on to the buyers.

    • @dickmelsonlupot7697
      @dickmelsonlupot7697 Год назад +1

      @@scalemodeltutor9841
      actually no.
      the laws you're pertaining to don't "reduce" the price at all.
      It just prevents it from being overpriced like what's happening to the ICE cars we have but that usually depends on the dealers/importers here if they are either smart or dumb enough to overprice or not with the biggest sinners being the Jap brands here specifically Toyota, Nissan, Honda & Mitsubishi.
      They make their cars from ASEAN countries that let's them import whatever shhttt they want with *ZERO* tariffs (because we're an ASEAN member is the price we pay to visit Visa free in any ASEAN nation) yet overprice the underequipped shhttboxes they have.
      And like I said, the laws you're pointing at *DO NOT REDUCE* the price of EVs at all.
      And like I said previously as well, we don't have any laws that actually reduce EV prices from the normal SRP after computing everything.
      You're also forgetting or probably don't know that China, unlike us, actually do have laws that incentivize the use of EVs in their country hence why it's only 300K when directly computed (which isn't really a good metric to go by since exchange rates will differ) when in reality the actual price would be more than that but due to incentives provided by the CCP, EV prices are cheaper there than in here.
      There were even time before 2022 that Chinese buyers get to enjoy up to 60,000 Yuan's worth of discounts when purchasing an EV (which is worth 460,415.05 PHP as per computations I did right now).
      Plus with China's upcoming incentive package which will give around 30,000 Yuan in incentives for 2024 & 2025 which most likely affected the current price of the Chery QQ Ice Cream, most likely than not the original price of the Chery QQ Ice Cream would most likely be around 60,000 Yuan (or even more) which is around 460K PHP if there were no incentives in China.
      And with the price we have here, it isn't really far off and is quite understandable.
      And compared to what the other dealers/importers do here, it's actually still relatively cheap than what the "established brands" abuse here.

    there are some key differences naman like the infotainment screen which may separate screen ang Pony EV, naka integrate din ang A/C controls (hindi nga lang ganun kalamig yung A/C even at 40% charge), and ang weird nung pedals kasi offset sya, parang nasa gitna na sya banda.

    I'd rather purchase a Honda Brio or Toyota Wigo with that price. Jetour is a Chinese brand which is owned by Chery which is also not a reliable Chinese car company that is why you don't see a lot of them and most people who bought a Chery car before discarded their car and now owns a Japanese car. I know that Honda Brio and Toyota Wigo is not an EV. But it is indeed reliable and would pretty sure last longer than that EV. Also, I like the concept of electric cars however in order to produce electricity industrial companies also uses Diesel in order to generate electricity and right now electricity bill are huge. Not that different with gas prices. Another thing, that EV would last only 150km and needs to recharge again for 8 hrs. If I need to go somewhere ranging 250km, It would take me almost 2 days because I need to charge after 150km wherein if I use a gasoline powered vehicle, I would just need to go to a gasoline station to refill for like 5-7 mins then I could continue. Overall, I would rate that as 3/10.

    • @KyleLiongCars
      @KyleLiongCars  Год назад +3

      Well long distance cruising isn't the purpose of EVs. These are meant to be secondary cars for city use only. It can still do highways though for short distances if needed.
      Also, old Chery is far from current Chery. Chinese cars have come a loooooooooong way since. Test drive some and you'd feel their quality. In the past, they were made to be cheap. Now, they're not only affordable, but still even possibly better in quality than its other competitors. Granted, they have not yet really proven themselves in the long term, but quality I'm talking about here is the fit and finish.
      Only time will tell.

      Market (Palengke)
      Convenience stores
      Drugstores
      Schools
      Around subdivisions
      Parks, or neighborhood
      Friends nearby your location
      Etc etc etc.

    A Wigo or Brio or Mirage would be a better value than this. It ain’t even equipped with Airbags, Infotainment system, push start/stop and spare tire.
    The only benefit you get from this is coding exemption, annual registration discounts and being “environment friendly”.

      It was calculated to just cause ₱1/km with this in electricity bills. Less maintenance too aside from brakes and tires :)

    What made this car reach up to 700k? If its the customs fees, let me know so I can email govt branches to take away any custom fees. The country needs to wean itself from gasoline-powered vehicles as much as possible so we are not at the mercy of oil price hikes every time.
