In the original "Bewitch" tv show (aired in 1964) while filming the pilot episode; producers/writers noticed Elizabeth Montgomery had a habit of twisting her mouth whenever she was nervous. They then decided to make the now infamous "twitch " a way of letting the audience know that magic was being preformed . Given the choice of descriptions; they chose "nose twitch " instead of mouth because of censorship.
@@TCt83067695 referring to her mouth movements was deemed "provocative " so they went with nose twitch . Censorship back then was really weird; in "I Dream of Jeannie " Barbara Eden couldn't show her belly button for years. Too provocative! Lol
@@melissafields3376 OMG THANK YOU! I spent so many years trying to do the nose twitch without moving my mouth only to find out thanks to this movie that no, even in the original, it was her wiggling her mouth, she was just doing it very quickly.
She’s doing it exactly like Liz Montgomery. I’m the original series she would move her upper lip, and the studio would speed it up, and then slow down the sped up version to make it look like only her nose was moving.
The original nose twitch made by Elizabeth Montgomery (Bewitched) also included the movement of her mouth. So yeah, it is called nose twitch, but also the mouth moves.
Did you know there was an ongoing fight between her in Reese Witherspoon has to be cast as the next Samantha Montgomery lol😅😮 Reese really wanted that part
It’s so bizarre to me that this is described as a nose twitch, she’s moving her whole mouth
Mandela Effect has altered the nose twitch to her mouth.. this reality is shattering 😸

Because of censorship? What?

I remember loving this movie but i can't remember anything else about it
I can wiggle my nose side to side without moving my mouth- its weird

Yes, but it wasn't that obvious on her
Just love Nicole Kidman so much
I do too, but not in this picture.

I can wiggle my nose. I don’t know why they say they wiggle their nose if they obviously are wiggling their mouth. I should’ve got the part 😂
wiggle wiggle wiggle.......
Wait, so y‘all can’t wiggle your nose without moving your mouth????
✨Mom, I‘m special✨
I never saw this movie. Is it as terrible as it looks?
Worst casting EVER.
This movie was just awful.
Nicole Kidman is so weird
Yes! When she played Lucille Ball she actually made Lucy seem creepy. How do you even do that? LOL
