I am sceptical optimistic about season 9 the more I read the patch notes as a widowmaker main. But HOW do you feel about Season 9 so far with just reading or (if you see this during season 9), feel about the current changes?
most squishies are going to become 250 hp now, which changes almost all of the breakpoints for most characters to get a kill, for example ashe and cass can no longer headshot + bodyshot for a kill, they have to double headshot to kill instead, etc. but widow is one of the only characters that is pretty much unaffected by the hp buffs, still being able to one shot quite easily as long as you readjust to the slight increase to the scope charge you might need, so i think her one shot is going to become more valuable after the patch than it is pre-patch. on the matter of the passive healing, although she can use it quite effectively, she also can't apply the new dps passive very well at all, so it's probably more of an even trade there

I think they have been very aware of Widowmaker this patch for sure and I think they want her to be the "only" independent oneshot hero in the game, But I think one thing that is important to keep in mind is that even if every one else need an extra shot to finish the kill, the dps passive, and the bigger sizes of projectiles and shots is going to make up for this with a pretty big margin. So I am not worried to much about that and still believe that at least ashe will be very effective. Tho I kinda wish them to compensate Cassidy with maybe extra bullets or something like that cos it feels like he is going to be pretty bad this upcoming patch. 😄
I thought about this. as a widow main I can kind of just rely on myself in the back line and take off angles with grapple off cooldown without needing a support
i have 93 hours on widowmaker and she's my third most played hero after dva and mercy and i do what most people dont when playing widowmaker, i play just behind the tank, mainly on the objective as i find it easier (as a console player) to hit shots when im slightly closer. so im not bothered about the max aim nerf. (plus i barely hit headshots so the health pool thing wont change my gameplay much) but im excited for season nine to see if widowmaker will actually be good!
I personally don't play console so I can't really say too much about how that environment is, But in generall I believe that its better to have off angles and focus on surving and hitting headshots on widowmaker, otherwise You'll probably have a lot better success on example, ashe or cassidy(think i spelled him wrong here heheh). The range nerf as been active for a loong while and I haven't heard a change on that. alltho because everyone has a bigger HP pool, the timing on when to take the shot is probably gonna affect some peoples "muscle memory" when shooting people. But yeah, I am also excited for Season 9! I think she MIGHT be extremely good season 9 😄

Yeah I get it, but I am open for "testing" new things, gonna be interesting to see how overwatch feels. And when it comes to widow, i think widowmaker might only be good for the mains still. But im not sure how the hitbox is gonna feel, so im excited to test that out! 😄
I think everything overall will be easier, even for projectiles. but with the extra HP, I'm not sure how bad it will be affected with the extra damage output, we'll have to see to find out. But I get the worry, and in worst case scenario they just need to correct the size of the shots if they are too opressive 😄
With widow the health buffs are literally made irrelevant if widow can just 1shot people with her normal gun and will be very, very obnoxious. She will almost definitely get nerfed at midseason or 10 and I would put money on it. Because everyone hates getting 1 shot, now with 250 health people will feel even worse
In most cases the healthbuffs are pretty relevant, alltho I understand that frustration, if she does get the nerf of oneshot and is no longer viable, they'll probably gonna buff her spray damage/spread to compensate it. Otherwise, she would be completely useless, which I dont believe Blizzard will allow to happen 😄
@@IamZet well they made junk completely useless by removing his only thing he had going for him which is his 1shot. On him you have big hit box, loudest footsteps in the game and need to be point blank to 1shot and have unbelievable skill to even get close to the value of another dps like soldier. Also with no guaranteed way to get dmg done and if someones on 1hp if his aim isn't perfect can dodge his shots and kill him
I definitely understand, but his playstyle is different, and he wins area control/CC. He has a big hitbox, and he is great against shields, which will make him still extremely viable. He is just not the oneshot hero as he was before. On the contrary, widowmaker has huge footsteps as well, if not louder, and her only good thing is the oneshot hit. If she doesn't have that, she goes to the worst hero instantly without any competition. I absolutely love talking about these things, so im sorry if it's a bit much text, heheh 😄
@@Lúci-o-ohs junkrat has some of the best movement in the game, his grenades do 140 damage on direct hits, the hitbox of his grenades are extremely generous, his trap is basically a free kill half the time, and he has one of if not the best ult in the game. Sounds like hella cope if you genuinely believe junkrat is useless. And junkrat and skill are not words that go in the same sentence
@@calebdune6949 you're last sentence told me how much you know about the game, I'm gm in gm lobbies junkrat definitely doesn't have the best ult, his character is the highest skill dps in the game and if you disagree idc maybe in your gold lobbies he's unskillful. AND his shots do 120 on direct hit meaning with the health changes a perfect 1shot combo takes them to 10health with no guaranteed way to hit them. Also his movement is not very good and takes alot of setup to do well

Yeah exactly, probably not all the time cos of counters, but you have more options now for sure!

Hitscan will be easier than ever to hit with. It's gonna be a joke. Skill floor lowered like crazy, and that's not a good thing.
